The property offered a number of great amenities onsite with restaurant options, several pools and fitness facilities. Gardens were well maintained and beautiful. Views and access to the seven hanging cliffs trail was excellent and added security for the property was appreciated. Good space and amenities in the accommodations. Includes air conditioning units for hot days and a fireplace for cold days.
A bit dated in the unit itself where it could benefit from a few new items including updated bathroom fixtures and lights.

The resort has tennis courts, pools and restaurants in and out nearby. It also provides shuttle to go into the town. You can also hiked along the cliff and walk towards the lighthouse. The view and experience was quite awesome if you can walk a bit and don't get scared of the cliff.
The nearby Indian restaurant which is 2 minutes walk from the main entrance has very nice food.
The villa has nice layout but the facility is dated, the rooms are a bit small, and beds aren't too comfortable. That's the standard room we got anyway. Maybe the more expensive villas have better quality facility/towels etc.
Since we booked the rooms via booking.com, we were not able to use the tennis court nor the gym for free. The tennis court is 10EUR/hour, renting a racquet is 3EUR/person. Gym costs 10 EUR for daily pass.

Rocha Brava is really lovely - we were there off season so perhaps all the more lovely due to how quiet it was but the complex is so nice, safe, delightfully located right on the beautiful cliff walk. Carvoeiro itself is also really lovely and even in February we could swim in the sea!

In the winter the outdoor pools are not available. The restaurant and the pool bar aren't open either, but there are other restaurants open nearby. There is also a snackbar and suoer markets open.

The property was pleasing. It got everything you would need for a short holiday stay. Good location and a short 10min ride to town with taxi and a short 15min walk to the beach was very nice. The heated indoor pool was a massive plus and well received. The local shop was very handy for those last minute snacks you may want. Staff are super nice. Overall stay was very positive.
The property could do with a good deep clean. There were a few bits of mould and dust across the place but it didn’t stop our fun. The place is very nice and decor gave the place so much wonderful character. Any issues we encountered was also quickly attended to, which was very helpful.

For a 4 star resort to be given a sample size bottle of shampoo and shower gel was not good. Poor WiFi, definitely not a 4 star apartment, which is probably why it was up for sale. There's an onsite Restaurant which we did not visit but other restaurants just out side the site including the ever excellent Jardim do Frol.
Close to many lovely beaches and the pretty twn of Cavoiero. The resort offers a shuttle service to the latter which is very convenient although a later slot would be helpul. Ample onsite parking outside most residences.
Will almost certainly be back gain.
Poolside bar/cafe is quite expensive.

Nice location on the cliff walk, albeit a little far from the town. Still, the resort had shops/ restaurants etc within walking distance.
Enjoyed the heated pool area. Visited beginning of May, so it was still quiet and relaxed - not many guests.
The floors and corners of rooms were quite dirty. Dust mites on the sofas. We were likely some of the first guests of the year in the particular house, so it could have been cleaned better and aired out beforehand.

Was missing the (warm) welcome at the reception, was surprised by the extra charge for the gym for booking.com users compared to regular bookers and was irritated by the EUR5 charge for each beach towel for a four star resort

While many properties in Portugal can be hard to locate, due to many twisting small roads, we were so pleased upon arrival. Our room was a small apartment with a lovely ocean view. Beds were very comfortable. Great price!
Staff attentive, grounds exceptional. Just outside the property gate is the long 7 mile hike on the cliffs, and amazing sunset! Great pools, very peaceful!! Birdsongs filled the quiet location.
A little hard to find, but hope to return again. Easy drive down to ocean & beaches.

The pool area is very tranquil and the staff is friendly. Nice bar and restaurant.
There is heated pool as well.
There was no dish soap or sponge to clean the dishes. As well we had a very bad smell coming from the drain pipes from the bathroom

Pool was very cold for June, slightly warmer than sea temperature to give you an idea.
Everything on site is so expensive and not even good quality. 10 euro minimum to use your card in the on site shop- haven’t seen this anywhere im Europe in about 10 years.
Coffee in the on site cafe is very bad .
Food at pool cafe is not great.
Staff are not friendly at all and it seemed very unlikely they’d do anything to help make your stay more enjoyable.

It is a huge complex that feels very homey. Comfortable, quiet, gorgeous view from our room. This area has some of the most gorgeous hikes and viewpoints in the world.
A car is really required to get around in the Algarve. We had one and used it each time we left.

We enjoyed the pools, and the restaurant. The amenities exceeded expectations; the resort had 3 pools, tennis courts, pickleball, a gym w/ classes, walking trails, a restaurant, and a mini mart.
The beds (matresses) need to be upgraded in all of the rooms. The restaurant was a bit pricey; breakfast was $15 Euros per person. The resort needs to do a better job explaining how to use the appliances in the unit.

Only Very minor thing was the apartment was facing into the back of the restaurant kitchen, the pickleball courts, the music from the pool and next to the kids club. This meant it could be noisy when all in full swing at the same time when trying to relax in the balcony. However, it didn’t spoil the over all stay.

The grounds were beautifully kept with loads of facilities in terms of pools, tennis courts, gym, mini golf, table tennis etc., but not all were as they appeared. The location is stunning, with direct access to the Seven Hanging Valleys trail from the property. Loads of parking and pretty quiet in the evenings. Loads of activities to do around with the highlight being the caves. Worth doing a tour of some sort while you are there.
The area surrounding the Rocha Brava Village resort is stunning, sitting up on the cliffs, but it is a little isolated. Nothing significant is within walking distance. While the apartment was satisfactory, I did not like the layout with the kitchen separate to the rest of the apartment and an awkward set-up with the fridge right behind the door. We had a few 'clashes' during our stay. I also found the apartment very dark. The main pool is not kid-friendly at all. The depth starts at 1.2m, which was just about okay for my 7 year old. It is not built for families with young kids. I did plan to use the gym, but looking at the very limited equipment, I didn't think the €9 per session was worth it. The restaurant was lovely with great staff, but very expensive.
