Location was amazing. Beautiful part of Lisboa. Room was big and bathroom as well. Only you see some parts in the room needs maintenance. Some staff were very friendly and some were not in the mood to talk or help you on a correct way.

Breakfast was not okay. Big tables where you sit with other guests instead alone with your own familiy. Also the food was not okay. Can be much better. Croissants were terrible as well the coffee. Coffee helps if you need to go to the toilet very quickly

The hotel is in a main street and buskers perform from early afternoon until the early hours of the morning. If your room is located at the front you will find it impossible to sleep. The website photos don’t match the rooms!

Metro and trams within 50 meters, several cafes outside the door and shopping all around The room, 319, although cramped was adequate and clean, all facilities were as stated and all worked well with a small balcony and view of shopping street and cafes, bed was comfortable Breakfast was substantial although the cooked breakfast was cold but plenty of choice only 10 euros pp, staff very helpful

The hotel needs attention and maintenance is needed throughout, with loose socket on wall and banister on stair to breakfast room was hanging off although not dangerously

The room was in the attic, quite small and dark. The showers from the next rooms are very noisy. The bathroom is like a small cabin inserted in the room and the washbasin is outside it, in front of the bathroom.

This is the best area to stay in IMO. Longer term stays I would suggest an apartment, but this was fine for the night. Staff were good, room was clean.

The location is just perfect! Only a few steps from the Baixa-Chiado metro station and near everything, a short walk from Praça do Comércio and very near the Carmo Archaeological Museum. The staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and pretty.

If it was to nitpick, there were just small improvements I would make. The bathroom door was made of glass in our room, which really doesn't block any sound. The breakfast room is stunning, but I found the food a bit lacking in variety.

The location could NOT be any better. There are restaurants, cafes, shops, transportation within steps. There are small and large rooms I stayed in both. The large room has a large wardrobe, large bathroom, large shower, a lot of space.

As others have stated, the noise level can be a bit much. I use a white noise app on my phone when I travel. I had to crank up the volume.

Location was very central. There was a metro station approximately 30 metres from the door. There was a selection of cafe bars and a supermarket nearby. It is in close proximity (approximately 200 metres) of Bairro Alto. Though the rooms and corridor leading to them are a little dated, the standard of housekeeping and cleanliness was excellent. The breakfast room was decorated in neo baroque style. Breakfast consisted of typical continental buffet. The staff were very friendly on breakfast duty. Though it could get overcrowded at times. There are gym facilities available, a pleasant foyer, and two very nicely decorated rooms in which to relax and unwind which are located on the ground floor. All on all I have no difficulty in recommending this hotel.

I would have like a little more heat in the room in mid february. Also, a little tea/coffee making station in the room would have made a great contribution to it's comfort.

They need real coffee, not Nescafé, and the hygiene needs to improve, since I saw one of the staff refilling the cake by hand, without gloves, and I didn't touch it again. While trying to hold the reception door (can’t handle with luggage, unless you open it wide, but we didn’t know it the first day, none seemed to care from the staff to come and help. Staff seemed bored, even to say good morning. Room 317 (internal) supposedly had WiFi, but we couldn’t use it none of the 5 days (signal TOO weak in the room). No TV in the room. The shower cabin small and the door (one piece) would close with difficulty once you were in, never seen this door anywhere else. Fridge didn’t work. Too expensive for what it is. Needs some more renovation (the room that they gave us, does need it for sure).

Great location and friendly staff. Metro blue line is right outside the door. Some touches of elegance but on closer inspection quite worn and in need of maintenance.

The caulking in the bathroom is moulding as is the space between tiles, broken shower head and missing hooks leaving a hole in the bathroom tiles. Furniture has signs of use and the general feeling that the hotel is worn out. Only pump soap provided in the bathroom (hand soap, body wash, shampoo combo). The breakfast buffet had a juice machine but the juice was fermented and the food selection was average with selection of fruit in baskets but it was also moulding with foul odor and fruit flies. No mini bar as advertised. No water bottles provided . A bit of a let down in general. Not a great value. If you want a great location, comfy bed and nice staff this is your hotel. Look elsewhere for everything else

The room was very clean and bed very comfy. Staff was incredibly helpful. We get too hot with the blanket so asked for a cover sheet and they made the bed with one. We were traveling together with 6 other people and the lounges downstairs were perfect for meeting up and hanging out together. The front desk assistants, Brian and Susana, were super helpful getting our luggage stored and bringing us glasses into the lounge when we asked so we could all enjoy some wine. Location was perfect if you like being in the middle of all that's happening in Lisboa. Definitely recommend the restaurant right next door, Benard, for delicious food, drink and relaxing.

This was also lovely hotel woth friendly staff right in the center of Chiada. It is steps away from the Baixa-Chiada subway stop which runs 3 different subway lines. It was an wxcellent value. The staff were very accommodating, and the hotel was modern and clean. One of our rooms faced the square and had beautiful views of the street performers amd city hubbub. The beds were extremely comforable.

Since it is right on a major city square, it can be loud at night if you have a room facing the square. With the window and black out curtains closed, the noise was not a problem.

The breakfast restaurant. Unappealing space could use a redesign. Breakfast offerings were low level considering the great food available in that neighbourhood.

Great location, spacious room, nice view, very good breakfast, was warm inside even though the weather was not great. Clean, there was kettle and tea in the room, slippers. We really enjoyed our stay, very good price/quality ratio .

Some common areas had a weird smell, probably due to humidity

No frills hotel but location can't be beat! The rooms are huge! Awesome having a balcony overlooking the plaza.

The extra bed was not comfortable and the sheets had a bit of a smell.

We loved the location, right in the thick of Lisbon.

I wish the front desk staff looked up and greeted guests. They ignored us each time we walked in to the hotel. This has never happened in our four months in Portugal.

Location is great! The hotel is clean and staff is very friedly. The only downside is the particular smell of sewage in the bathroom! Beds and room were comfortable and space was appropiate.

I think the overall hotel.needs a face-lift. Great location but is outdated. Consider renovating in stages without having to close the hotel.
