The location of the hotel is excellent for a visit to Porto. The hotel is near some very good places to eat and it's easy to get to the tourist buses.
At the time we visited we paid 165β¬ for 3 nights including breakfast which was excellent value. The breakfast was simple but sufficient. No hot food but unlimited hot drinks and fruit juice. The dining room was very small and at times there was no space available.
This hotel does have free parking but there are limited spaces.
The decor is very dated and the beds uncomfortable. In addition my electric toothbrush was obviously dropped by staff and broken and I was offered no compensation.
At the time we visited(Feb 24) the hotel was undergoing major renovations. The work continued until about 10pm some nights.
The room was a little pokey. There was just about room to pass the bed.
On the 2nd night we were woken at 02:30 by what sounded like a herd of elephants on the stairs. Other nights were quiet.

We stayed for one night and it was good. Location is great, realy close to city center. If you are with a car they also have parking in the garage, so this was a big plus for us. And we arrived in the middle of the night and they accepted us kindly. Breakfast was nothing special.

It is a good choice if you plan to discover the city. The hotel is the next street from the main pedestrian street and in a walk distance from all the main sightseeings. The hotel has private parking place that is extremely important for the center of Porto. Breakfast is good: a choice of traditional bakeries, some cheese and sausage. The hotel is tidy, clean, but old-fashioned a little. Really recommend it

The hotel is on a busy street which makes finding it and the attached parking a little challenging, especially in the dark. Our room was at the back of the hotel so very peaceful.

The room was a little dated, but clean and a good size, with air con. No fussy pillows and extra "stuff", just what you need, a bed, a wardrobe, a chair and two bedside cabinets. The bathroom had been nicelyΒ redecorated and the shower was large, with excellent quality towels.
The bed was really comfortable, first time in a long time, we've slept under sheets and blankets, but it was very cosy, and we both slept well.
Good selection at breakfast, however, no eggs or cooked food, but good coffee. The breakfast room is small so we ate outside which was very pleasant on a nice morning.
Cannot beat the location. It's a five minute walk away from a shopping centre with loads of eating places, and shops! Another ten minutes and you are in the centre of the city where all the tourist attractions are. Another short stroll takes you to the river bank.
No kettle or fridge in the room. TV was tiny, but personally we are not on holiday to stay in and watch TV, so we didn't care about this.
The breakfast space is very small, so go early as it is a pain maneuvering around others just for coffee. If you want personal space to eat then prepare to eat outside, as there are few tables inside, and they are all together in a row.
Great to have a free car park next door, but it is a little tight to manoeuvre in, unless you have a tiny car.

The staff was very kind, the guy at the reception also spoke spanish other than portuguese. We were even allowed to leave our bags at the hotel after the check-out. The room was clean and the bathroom had a very nice shower. Also, the hotel is extremely close to the city centre.

Ana was amazing! We arrived in the morning after a long flight to drop off our luggage but Ana swapped rooms around to let us check in as soon as we arrived and provided an excellent service with a very good guide about Porto even though she was very busy with check in/out.
The hotel is very well located within a short walk distance to the most of tourist attractions.
Due to our early morning departure at 6am, the night before we asked if we could have a breakfast box or anything to take away once breakfast was included in the booking but unfortunately they donβt provide it.

One of the main benefits was the free parking and the hotel kindly let us keep the car there for an hour after weβd checked out. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable enough. It was also warm enough. The windows were solid and despite being in the centre (a great location actually), there was no noise from the streets. The breakfast, though simple (croissants, bread, cakes, pastries, ham, cheese, β¦), was delicious - particularly the croissants. The staff were also helpful and dealt with issues as they arose (e.g. when we complained about very noisy guests on our floor with kids shouting and running up and down the corridor outside our room - after our complaint noise levels came down).
The bathroom made me doubt how clean the place was. There was a lot of mildew in the shower, which I think with the right cleaning products they could clean up (leaving a better impression on guests). But the most off putting for me was a large brown stain on the underside of the sink (sight line when sat on the toilet). I didnβt have the nerve to touch it to see if it was dirt and would wipe off or a stain. I just think a bit more attention could be paid to cleanliness and the appearance of things for guests at least in the bathroom (the bedroom seemed fine). Iβve put a couple of photos to show what I mean about the bathroom. I really hope the hotel fixes this issue because they have a lot of good things going for them so itβs a shame. Also, while the room was well-isolated in terms of sound from outside, noise from other guests seemed to carry a lot. At least it was quiet at night so we were able to sleep ok.
