The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The shower was hot for three people.
The place is a little older and out of date. We had an electric short in our room. The light would come on if you touched the top cushion of the middle bed.
The air conditioning wasn't really on in our room. The temperature didn't get cooler at all.
We saw a bug crawling on the bed next to the wall by the bathroom.
If you are a large group or have a lot of luggage, they don't really have a place to store it securely. All our bags were left in the front by the check-in desk.

The safety box inside the wardrobe, doesn’t have a key/pin pad. So it’s useless.

The parking slot is too small and didn’t fit for lot of people who stays (if the bring vehicle). And the access condition for the top parking is bad, my car was damaged on the bottom while reaching the parking slot on the top, and it’s really tricky and hard to turn your car to go out.
Can’t have access to open the parking door from outside, and when you press the assistance button, sometimes they didn’t care or pretend nothing happened, so i need to getting out from the car and go inside to press the button to open the door.
And the hotel didn’t have breakfast service ?
So i need to go outside just for the breakfast ?

Receptionists all spoke excellent English and very helpful. 5 minute walk from Marques metro station. Cheap cab fare to both main railway stations. 20 min downhill walk to historic centre.
No bar/restaurant in hotel (doesn't bother us really) but no bars or restaurants in immediate area, but a 10 minute walk fixes that.. it's a 20 minute walk from main railway station and historic centre or 30 minutes from the river but it is uphill all the w ay, so if you've got luggage, get a cab/Uber or use the metro!

Small Hotel about 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station, and around 20 minutes walk from the Porto waterfront. Room was clean and tidy, with a huge bathroom, with both bath and shower. Room had Kettle and Mini Fridge. Reception staff friendly and helpful, even when my arrival was delayed until midnight.
The hotel doesn't offer breakfast (this is clear in the booking and not a major issue, but it would be a way to inprove the overall rating). Although there is kettle and cups in the room, I only had a single tea bag and no coffee, so remember to bring your own.

(1) Nice and helpful staff - they were helpful in reducing some noise issues that arose after my first night. (2) Large room. (3) Large comfortable bed. (4) Noise blocking windows on street side. (5) Plenty of light. (6) Good blackout curtains. (8) Mini fridge (never take that for granted in PT). (9) Very good location for avoiding crowds - but still close to everything. The hotel is a short walk from just about everything you may want to see on a short trip. It is right in between the tourist areas and more residential/local areas, so on days when you do not feel like being stuck in the mob you can simply walk the other direction and find plenty of peaceful (and good) places to eat, have a coffee, relax, etc.
I had a very good stay here.
(1) Being awakened by extremely loud construction noises (roto hammer on cement) the first morning I was there (December 2022). A remodel project on the adjacent (and therefore connected) building had just begun that morning. The property seemed to be as surprised as I was, so I cannot blame them - and to their credit they spoke with the crew and the noise was kept to an acceptable level (at least for the rest of my stay). If you are planning a stay here in the first half of 2023, I suggest you ask about the construction noise if that will be an issue for you.
(2) I was in a room next to the elevator, so the noise of the elevator motor was audible as was the noise made by the guests in the adjacent room when they would come and go. There were also some odd noises (rumbling and vibration) that came from the floor above (I was on 3rd floor, street side) - I never figured out what it was, but it was annoying at times. Not a deal breaker.

The room was much bigger than I expected. It was well lit and the heater was good so I could keep the room warm. Although the bathroom is very basic, it was clean. The staff, especially the lady at the reception (I forgot her name but she wears glasses) is very sweet and helpful. The evening I reached, she brought out a map and marked all the must dos and suggested a dinner place since I reached late. Location is amazing, just a 10 minute walk from the main tourist street. Great experience overall.
Although the room is well lit, the rest of the hotel is quite poorly lit so it looks and feels a little eerie. No 'do not disturb' signs so you have to remember to let the receptionist know if you don't want the room to be cleaned. Poor Wi-fi.

Good location off the heavy tourist areas. Leisurely walk down the road to the sites and river. The room was spacious and comfortable—even a regulation-size bathtub! Michaela at the front guided me to some good nearby cafes and fado venues.

Amazing value for money. Big comfortable room and bed and the free parking is a huge bonus .
