Vista Marina Apartamentos Turisticos - Portimao

Vista Marina features a free-form pool set in a landscaped garden, just a 10-minute walk from Portimão center. All air-conditioned apartments are decorated in warm, sunny colors and fitted with a large wardrobe. Each one features panoramic pool views from its furnished balcony.

A well-equipped kitchen, which includes a 4-hob electric stove and all-wood counter top, is provided for each apartment. All kitchens are open-plan and have a 4-seater dining table. The property also has a contemporary lounge fitted with a pool table.

24 hour reception with friendly, professional staff. The apartments are spotless. The pool and pool area are clean and quiet. Nice chairs and sheltered areas to sit out in. Smaller pool for little kids also. Inside billard table. 4 floor building with lifts to each floor. Parking in basement accessed by lifts. The apartment had a fridge freezer, hob, toaster, kettle, washing machine and more. Well stocked. Easy to dry clothes on a provided rail on balcony. Cleaning service to apartment every second day.

The underground parking spaces are a bit tight. The pull out bed wasn’t that comfy.

Lovely spacious apartment with beautiful views over the gardens swimming pool and river. Ideal location for Portimao and Praia da Rocha with supermarket, baker shop, cafe and patisserie close by. Staff very polite and friendly.

Cleaning standards not as good as previous years. Air conditioning units and sofas need to be replaced as air conditioning unit makes strange noise like a jet taking off. Sofas are uncomfortable and tired looking.

Lack of a cafe or restaurant for snack food and coffee, rather than having to go up to the apartment or walk to a cafe which was about 20 minutes away. This would avoid having to release our Sun beds as the rules would not allow you to reserve it with towels.

From arrival to departure everything was fabulous. Beautiful apartment very spacious with everything you need. The bed was so comfy. All toiletries supplied , cleaning staff everyday. The pool & garden area are beautiful & very tranquil. Views from the terrace were lovely. The location is perfect . 10 min walk to the beach & bars/restaurants. A little cafe & small supermarket within a 2 min walk. An Uber to alvor was only €7 We will def be back. The staff were very helpful & friendly.

Staff were very helpful and a credit to the organisation but management didn't respond to issues when emailed. Room was spacious and mostly as advertised but had continual issues with the washing machine. Outdoor pool was great and very clean. Nice view from all rooms.

Advertised gym was available which was mainly why I booked this place but was not available at all during 10 day stay and no plan for it to be operational - management offered no resolution or apology when emailed so was quite unhappy about that. When we came to the apartments we were very disappointed with the quality of the room with the old stained sofas and very old shabby kitchen furniture. The quality of apartments does not correspond to 4 star hotel at all. Maximum 2 stars. We have asked to take money for first night and the rest returned us back. But our request was declined.

The space of the flat was really impressive, super big and also a huge terrace overlooking the pool but still with total privacy. The building looks quite new and everything worked well. They have an indoor free parking which was very appreciated! I would definitely stay here again next time I will pass by.

The windows of the bedroom face on the outside corridor so you must have always the curtains closed. The location is not their strongest point as it’s around 13 minutes walk to the closest shops and restaurants but the area was quiet. Upon check-in they will hold in your credit card 250 euros of security deposit. It was mentioned on Booking but not very clear so I was surprised.

The living area was large, bedroom very comfortable and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely but due to the weather we only spent 2 afternoons there but indoor pool was a treasure. It was so relaxing and pleasantly warm. The environment of the apartments was relaxing and quiet. The apartments are situated approx 10 minutes either was from Praia de Rocha and Portimao. Super market close by and a lovely coffee shop across the road.

We liked the size of the apartment and the views were excellent. Also the location was so convenient for both Praia Da Rocha and the centre of Portimao from where we could easily get buses to nearby towns and villages. There was always free sun loungers around the pool and the spa is a great treat. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Rooms were cleaned every day.

In our room some of the furnishings and one or two electrical items in the kitchen need replacing although we understand the management have been making gradual improvements to rooms.

Hotel is gorgeous and the Premium Suite was really amazing. Kitchen was well-equipped, facilities were clean, beautiful and comfortable. Gym is small but very well maintained and cozy. Sunlight everywhere. Friendly staff

No breakfast, “heated” pool was not really warm enough to swim (26C). I tried to swim a bit but I started to feel a sore throat almost immediately. The restaurant was closed during covid and never re-opened. Gladly, we had deliveries to the apartment, but this wasn’t the experience I was expecting from such a beautiful hotel. If those two things were fixed, it would be a 10/10 place to stay in Algarve.

Indoor pool: water is a bit too cold, you have access to 1 h only, need to book in advance and opening hours from 10 to 12 and 15 to 18 don't give guests many options. Same rules and only 5 opening hours for fitness room. Rules and signing of terms and responsibilities for almost everything. However, to checkout, guests are asked to sign a document declaring they have received the deposit back, even if they haven't received it. I find that the checkout time at 10am is too early for a holiday destination. Poor lighting in the bedroom. Despite all this, it was a great experience.

The apartment was really nice with a beautiful view over the pool and the Marina. We had all we needed for the week. The indoor pool was perfect with the kids and since we are in low season we were lucky enough to have it for ourselves most mornings. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. We visited many places around Portimao with max 1 hr distance. Value for money at this place at this time of the year was excellent!!!

The kitchen could be equipped with a few more things, but really we had all the basics and never had issues prepping meals.

Still has to book even though hotel was empty. And would of been great if there was a bar or at least a vending machine to purchase water. Large communal game room and lounge. Loved the free underground parking with elevator access. Two cafes close by for breakfast. I would definitely consider returning here for a longer stay.

The rooms were massive and plenty of space to put things away. The washer was a great touch and the drying rack on the deck worked great.

The pool was absolutely amazing. Our only complaint was we were a bit disappointed that we couldn’t have a drink in it even if it was in plastic or a tumbler. Also no balls or anything at the pool.

location and size of rooms and easy parking

unfortunetly I was locked in the restroom as the door knob was broken. the staff did an amazing job in getting me out as soon as possible. highly reccomend installing an emergency device in the restroom in the event something like this would happen to somone else. I was fortunete as my wife was outside and she contacted the staff. Not sure what an elderly person who may be alone would have done? Would stay there again though.

The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel's location near the beach was convenient.

The hotel room was not like the pictures. We had ants that infested the unit. I asked for the manager three times but the staff refused to let me speak to one. We had one hour per day to use the indoor pool and gym (which you must book ahead of time).

We stayed in a modern and spacious self-serviced apartment, with friendly and helpful front office and housekeeping staff. The outdoor pool and indoor gym were great amenities that perfectly suited our need for relaxing workouts. The large terrace overlooking the marina and Ferragudo town offered a peaceful and scenic spot to unwind. We also appreciated the touch of luxury with the Rituals toiletries provided. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the beach, supermarket, and a good selection of restaurants. A special thank you to Gustavo, Ines, Nelson, and Kim for your assistance throughout our stay!

A couple of minor downsides: the furniture felt a bit outdated, and the washing machine unfortunately had a leak. It also would have been nice to have a sun umbrella on the terrace for sun protection.

Nice large apartments. View is was good. Outdoor pool was nice. Some of the staff were helpful. Good location in Portimao.

Gym was tiny, indoor pool was a bit of a let down. Check out was awkward, needed a room review before deposit was issued and took 3 days to be returned. Paid for a deluxe apartment with a double bed and had two singles pushed together with a large bump running through the middle (very uncomfortable). Contacted the property via phone and via booking.com and email several times with no response.

Beautiful view from a very large balcony. 2 reception ladies Kim and Tammy were lovely and helpful.

The Check in girl Inies was a jobs worth. Lazy always on phone chatting. Very ignorant. A jobs worth her attitude stunk. Put a downer on us every time saw on reception. On duty in the gym couldn’t be bothered to fill the water bottles twice. A most unpleasant person. Apart from the cleaner Helia the cleaning staff were awful. Never swept or mopped. Ended up complaining about them. Supposed to meet the manager at 3pm he didn’t turn up supposedly in Lisbon. His little minion Gustavo was absolutely useless. Didn’t listen to what we told him.

The indoor pool was nice but you need to book it in order to use it and max is 1 hour per day.

First we went to a room which was very dirty to say the least. Then we upgraded to the premium rooms. They made us pay extra for it which is fine but then they said since my children were older than 2 they would charge me an extra 100€. This was the day after check in (they knew my 2 kids age the day before at check in and never mentioned any additional fees) and after we complained about the filthy room we were in. The premium rooms were nice and it had a sofa bed. When I asked the receptionist if I could have some sheets she said no we cannot use the sofa bed and only the bed which I thought that was ridiculous. Even the premium rooms aren’t the cleanest, bedroom is dark with bad lighting and no mini fridge. Needless to say I won’t be returning.
