The room was dirty with quite some hair on the bathroom floor. Also the sink and the toilet seat had some water marks that haven't been cleaned from the last guest. The bathroom door didn't close properly and on one try to close it, it got stuck, so we had to ask the receptionist to come with a key and unlock the door for us. The room was also very warm during the night, as the air conditioner didn't really work. These weren't reasons for us to complain yet. What bothered us really was the breakfast. We've been in more than 20 countries around the world and in all kinds of hotels and hostels, but we've never seen such a disorganised and untrained personal in what's supposed be a good hotel as it's the nh hotel. The breakfast should be until 10 o'clock. we arrived at 9am. The head waiter asked us in which room we were and told we could sit at any table. The tables that weren't occupied, weren't clean and still full of dishes. we asked him to clean one table for us. There were no available cups anymore, no eggs, no juices. The staff was fighting with each other, talking and charging their phones instead of working. All the tables next to us were full of piling dishes as the guest were leaving and the tables weren't getting cleaned. There were signs on the table that you can order your eggs and sausages, but my husband tried that and was told that he had to wait, because they would refill some in the buffet. The orange juice was empty by the arrival and took them 25 minutes to refill it with some juice out of a box. Overall together with the dirty room and the not working air conditioner it was very disappointing.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Sintraโdirectly opposite the National Palace of Sintra. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, and you can easily walk to Quinta da Regaleira. For the other castles, itโs better to take a ride unless you enjoy hiking uphill. The rooms are a bit small, but still very nice. Those facing the valley offer a picturesque viewโours even had a balcony, which added to the whole experience. The terrace bar is open all day and serves good meals with a fantastic view of the valley. The reception staff is very helpful, and the rooms are kept clean. Highly recommended for everyone!

Getting to the location was a nightmare! And when we mentioned to the staff that we had difficulty he stated, "95% of our guests tell us that." Well DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. We had to park down the hill and take an Uber, and even the Uber could not find it. So we had to walk uphill with our suitcases! We were instructed to send a WhatsApp message so we could get the code, but no one ever responded. So I show the front desk person this and he apologized and said he'd make it up to us with a free cocktail. But he apparently did not tell the bar staff this because we were CHARGED FOR THE DRINKS! Infuriating! And simple things like having fresh water in the lobby were not taken care of. Before we went to our room at night, the water jug was empty. The next morning it was still empty! It's the little things like that that make great service OR NOT. And in this hotel's case - the attention to detail was severely lacking! We won't stay at this hotel again!

We booked two different suites (one for my family, the other for my parents). We all agreed that the rooms exceeded our expectations. Amazing view. Friendly staff. Super close to the beach. We would definitely book again.
The location is very close to the beach, but many other restaurants immediately around the property were closed at night. However, there were others with a 10 minute walk.

It was perfect I just struggled sleeping with which I believe was the main AC running but I am a very light sleeper so someone else might not be impacted.

Very centrally located for the historic part and sights. Beautiful view for sunset clean and comfortable. As well the amount of tourists that are bussed in every day is insane which makes having your oasis at Nh to head back to an amazing perk to discovering the magic of Sintra.
The only major drawback is getting transportation to get out of the historic section can be difficult during the day.

Ubers/Bolt/non-private cars cannot enter to pick up or drop off during daytime hours as the center is closed for pedestrian only traffic

The room was very run down (old, scratches, damage to all the furniture, cupboards, bathroom) and really needs refreshing. The parking was both very hard to find (we didn't get the QR code to enable us to reach the hotel automatically so make sure you ask this ahead of time) and also paying 15EUR/day which was not indicated on booking

Hotel is showing its age and could be maintained better. Black mold on the window coverings in the first room, second room the rain shower didn't work. Breakfast was something you would expect from a large discount chain and certainly not up to the standard you would expect.

The rooms were a little older looking than the photos. I requested a double bed but was just 2 twins pushed together and I kept falling. Also had to ask twice for cleaning as my room was still uncleaned at 4pm

If you are ready to pay +300 euros for two nights at this โ4 starsโ hotel you better think twice.
I was shocked by the lack of hospitality at this hotel. Not to mention, they will send you instructions on how to get there but still you will find yourself with an access code that doesnโt really provide access nor helps you understand how to actually get to the hotel. Checking in at the reception was terrible, no one will assist you with your luggage. Housekeeping will clean your room at 7pm; expired dairy products at breakfast and when I called the reception and asked for an ironing board and iron, they told me I had to go and pick it up myself because they had no one to deliver it to my room.

Lot of restaurants at less than 5min walk.
Ideal plate to stay.
The room was big for 2, with a small balcony.

Breakfast is medium. Due to high hotel occupation, sometimes it was missing some items.
Rooms are out dated. It needs to be outfitted.
Hotel access is not really easy. Ubers had difficult to access the hotel.

We stayed here because we needed a place to park our car. Driving into the old part of Sintra is a bit tricky and requires a pass via a QR code. The hotel provided the pass electronically with detail instructions. Parking was literally right in front of the hotel. The facility is clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was solid and included several locally made items.
