The neighborhood is pretty calm and nice. It’s very close to the historical center. The apartments are very cosy and clean. The beds were pretty comfortable and the sheets were very soft and high quality. The breakfast is very good. EVs are welcomed because the building has a charging station in the yard.
One of the flats I rented had a pregnant smell of furniture, which wasn’t that bad in the end. The variety of the breakfast could be increased.

Everything about our stay was great, the location of the hotel was our main attraction, given that we attended some lectures at a nearby university, but the city centre was also right at hand, a mere 10 minute walk. Private parking was also included, which was great, and since everything was walking distance we were happy to be able to “abandon” our car for the duration of our stay, with special thanks for the understanding of the staff, since we had to keep it there a bit longer after check-out in order to attend another lecture.
The room was very clean, with room service coming in daily.
Fully equipped with all that we could need, we simply cannot think of any cons for this accommodation.
Cannot think of anything.

Friendly staff and good food for breakfast (continental style and they make omlette or other kinds if eggs for you if you wish). The hotel has a parking lot in front and there is a good chance to have space for the car. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. You also have Neflix available in the room.
The croissants for breakfast could have been better.

Very good option for staying in Sibiu (both for business trips or tourism). The breakfast was very good and diverse. Very clean room, friendly staff and 10 minutes walking distance from the city center.
They provide also a charging station for electric vehicles in their own parking

- Very nice and clean room
- literally 5 minutes from the city center
- Quiet area, had just another room on the same hallway, noise was minimum when people entered/existed the hallway - not a problem.
- Nespresso machine and electric kettle + coffee, tea and mini bar.
- air purifyer and bluetooth speaker in our room
- big bed and 2 sets of pillows, were very appreciated
- nice touch with the amenities.
- heating was great for winter time
- great room light, super nice
- parking on site in the hotel courtyard
- we were able to leave our car for extra time after checkout.
- nice staff, wery welcoming
- we will return for sure and recommend the place.
- I don't recommend the breakfast if you stay more than 2 days. Little diversity - it would be great if boilled eggs will be added, also french style omelette would be great. Same for bread, the local bread would be a great plus instead of the current offer.
- As we stayed longer there are some things that would be nice for longer stays - more attention to daily room cleaning like floor vacuuming and bed sheets changing after 3 nights. Fresh cups and glasses when they are used, same as replacement tea bags/coffee.
- We announce the staff that the bathroom ventilation was very noisy and has to be checked. Also, check the towels handle it was not well installed.
- Overrall a very nice stay, I just recommend more attention to small details that would enhance the experince for the clients who spend more time in the hotel.

The room was spacious and spotless. bed was great, window and terrace with a great view, bathroom had all the necessities.
There's a safe in the closet, minibar and complimentary water and coffee/tea. Enough electrical outlets, good size flat screen TV.
Breakfast was really fulfilling, and they had anything you'd want to start your day. Cold cuts, various cheese, fresh real eggs, whether omelets or however you'd like them, cereals, yogurts, milk, real butter, fresh fruits, fruit juices, coffee, tea, pastries, etc.
The property t is situated in a quiet neighborhood, but you can get to Sibiu's downtown in probably 5 min walking,
It has also good parking spots on site.
Our Hostess Sonia, was absolutely great, she reached out to us to confirm arrival time, she set us for check in, and with her calm, and pleasant personality, she provided one of the best customer experience we were exposed to in many years of travelling.

In May 2024 we stayed here 2 nights in an apartment (on the ground floor) with terrace. The hotel has its own parking. The apartment is spacious, has a wooden floor and a very pleasant atmosphere. There is a desk with chair, a couch and 2 small tables. There is airconditioning, a minibar, a water cooker and Nespresso (but no milk or milkpowder). There are 2 tv’s and an air purifier. The bathroom has 2 sinks and a good shower. WiFi is good (but sometimes slow) and also the bed is good with 2 pillows per person.
The apartment has excellent lighting. Breakfast is good.
Unfortunately they didn’t clean the room during are stay and cleaning doesn’t seem a strength looking at the condition of the room (dead fly on the floor of the bedroom and dirt on the bathroom floor).

The balcony view was great! We liked that we were able to walk to a few different restaurants from this location. We enjoyed the breakfast before we departed. The bathroom had a bathtub and a shower. There were buttons beside the bed that controlled the lighting and the window blinds.
The room was very "smart." The thermostat wouldn't change if the door was open to the balcony so as not to waste power/resources. We were very impressed by the ingenuity of this hotel.

The hotel’s location is perfect! It’s very near in the historic center, restaurants and even in the train station. The place is also located in a quiet and good neighbourhood so you will really relax and enjoy your stay.
The room is very clean, modern and fully furnished. I like how soft the pillows are, how big the bathroom is and the balcony in the room is situated at the back side with their garden view.
The hotel staffs are very friendly, professional and helpful. Special thanks to Ms Daniela (receptionist) for being accommodating and helping me with regards of my every needs such as providing information about the public bus transportation, allowing me to leave my luggages in the hotel after the check-out time and letting me stay at their beautiful terrace while waiting for my train departure back to Bucharest.
I really enjoyed my stay at Republique Hotel and I will definitely choose to stay here again whenever I’m back in Sibiu.
These doesn’t bother me but just for the improvement:
The breakfast is kinda repetitive. I stayed for 2 nights and they served food almost the same for everyday. Cooked food can be added such as bacon or sausage and even some salads. But anyway, they can make you some eggs just like how you want it to be cooked.
For a 4 star hotel, there was no bathrobe and vanity kit in the room.

The hotel is very close to the center, just a 5-minute walk.
The reception only opens at 4 PM, and we were stuck outside in the cold for an hour, with no option to wait in the lobby. There’s no elevator, which makes it inconvenient to carry luggage. The dining room food is very basic, and our room was poorly designed with slanted walls, causing us to bump into them multiple times.

- Perfect location: The Large Square, Promenada Mall, Sibiu RailRoad station are in 10-15 minutes walk distance.
- Rooms are warm in winter.
- Parking. During the holidays like New Year, when the hotel is full, the parking lot is not able to take all the guest cars. You have to look for a place on the Lucial Blaga street and this is a quest as there are a lot of private residences with their own driveways so you can't park there. Another problem is a size of places - there are for the mid-size cars at best. If your car is bigger than something like VW Golf, "good luck" with getting inout of your car especially coupe.
- These wooden beams in the rooms on the upper floor. You will hit it with your head at night for sure because they're right above the bed. Also tree knots are in place to deal more damage. I understand that they are to support the roof, but anyways.
- Breakfast for 60lei is definitely overpriced comparing to the prices in the cafes on the Large Square.
- Fridges were not working at least in two rooms – had to keep products on the window outside.
