The closest parking is quite far away. On foot it is about 5 minutes, but you have to go through the whole shopping mall. But by car it is 15 mins! (and it is without traffic! It is because of one-way roads you have to go through half a district).
The hotel is located near central station, which means a lot of people, more strict rules in the hotel (the toilet downstairs is protected by a code, come on), more noise from the outside (but we stayed on 8th floor and didn't hear much).

Conveniently situated in the city centre and near to the bus terminus and station. The breakfast is good, with lots of choice. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. They were happy to store my luggage till my room was available. There was a problem with my key card not working inside the room and it was sorted very quickly.
Doors banging late at night… but I realise there is little to be done about this. During the holiday period I would have expected the bar to be open earlier.

Overall great hotel for exploring Goteborg! Staff were very nice and accommodating, especially; Patrik during CI, Simon at CO - very professional and attentive and brown-haired lady with her bubby approach from the restaurant/bar. She also spoke great english, but unfortunately I did not saw her name. Housekeeping staff were also great, they've provided service with a big smile. Security staff by the main door polite and professional. Room was spotlessly clean and although modern, so practical with plenty of shelves and storage spaces.

The location is great, the hotel is really nice, staff is very friendly. We have been to this hotel several times with my family so I am very happy to go back again.
The pool was closed on the second day (morning) due to an accident which is understandable, however, ai would appreciate some info when I was booking the time for the pool - it was bookable on the website and when I went to collect the towels the staff could have asked if it’s for the pool and could have said that it was closed.

The reception was working nicely, plenty of space in restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
Beds nice with lots of sleeping pillows. Room was spacious and warm, good change of air and windows to the outside. The room was overall clean. there was shampoo and conditioner, hair blower, ironing set.
The toilet smelled of urine, it was stained in the front down and I had to clean it - but smell of urine never went away.
A refrigerator is needed in the room for keeping personal medicine and drinks cooled.

The building is good
The staff is very rude and racist with stereotypes! They didn’t want me to stay there the last day, they gave some dumb reason why I shouldn’t be there. Even one of my Swedish friends came to talk with them and they just change the narrative cuz she is a Swede. Absolutely insane. I have stayed in many hotels during my life but I have never been treated like that. I have been in more than 17 countries and this is the worst hotel I have stayed in. Very rude, specially the reception girls and the manager. They treated me like a prostitute and didn’t let one of my friends enter to the hotel after 10 pm even if I paid for 2 people to stay in my room and it was only me who was there. He even ask if he can pay for a room and they said it was not possible. RUDE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! I was not doing anything wrong in Gothenburg I was just visiting my friends for your information and traveling around Europe!

The room is very compact, Scandinavian vibes and every furniture and fixture has a purpose in my opinion. I like the fact that there are enough sockets for charging devices and the light is enough as I personally hate rooms that cannot be well-lid.
There is no temperature control in the room. When I checked in, it was quite freezing but then after a few hours, I became used to it. It is not a big deal but it would be good if the heating is centrally well adjusted or can be adjusted in room. Besides, the 24/7 reception call does not work after 10 pm.

Adequate size of the room
You expect to be able to have a cup of tee/coffee in the evening. This is very much 'standard' to have in a hotel room. I tried searching info what type of room I should book to have that possibility. Didn't find info. Otherwise room has the minimum you would need for staying overnight. Very, very basic. Also fridge I consider sth you should have in the room. To my surprise also that was missing. The new check-in process is far too time-consuming. Too many clicking needed.

Great location — a few minutes walk to the train station, dining places, parks, and shopping venues. Excellent breakfast buffet that our kids loved. Really pleasant staff all around. Would come back for sure.
Late check-in time, i.e. 4pm. The first time I’m seeing such a late afternoon time but since we’re with kids, we went with an early check-in option (around 1:45-2pm) for an extra ~$20. That’d be the only downside, quite frankly.

Location was grate right next to shopping centre along with the bus and train station. The pool and sauna was a nice touch.
Just personally found the pillows to soft and uncomfortable as I struggle with a stiff neck which triggers on headaches was quite a hard sleep for me would have been nice if the pillows where more firm.
