Not much, the hotel looked old , dirty, worn out not very well maintained. Only the location was interesting; near the Singapore Boat Quay.

The hotel was dirty! From the awning outside (mold), the dining room, in the hallways was rubbish laying around and the rooms were dirty with much mold in the bathroom. My wife did not want to stay any longer and we looked immedateliy for another hotel. But I still had to pay one night and the 'early check-in'. They just wanted our money; even without them delivering any service or cleanliness. BOOKING.COM should NOT have this hotel on its platform!

The hotel location was awesome. Whilst the room was small the bed was very comfortable and room was cleaned each day. We basically only slept in the room each night as we were out for at least 12 hours a day. Very friendly staff.

Great location for a budget stay. We specifically wanted to have as cheap as possible that is suitable for a family with kids and this was perfect. We explored the city all day and for sleeping this was perfect. It had private bathroom with hot water and air conditioning was strong. It also had a fridge and kettle. The location was walking distance to everywhere and was perfect for us to explore around on foot.

As we specifically chose a cheap budget place we cannot fault anything as we got what we paid for. It was very good value for money. Cant get better than this for that price.

Helpful, friendly, room cleaned regularly. Location is amazing. The two roof terraces have nice views. Showers are fairly hot & powerful too. For such a central location it's quiet overnight.

Overall the building hasn't been maintained to a standard that allows good cleaning - e.g. some skirting boards are rotting and have water damage.

For me it was the perfect location. Clarke Quay was the reason I stayed in this area. As it turned out Clarke Quay was closed but a nearby street turned out to be much better as locals used it. Transport wise perfect.

If you want a 4 star all in hotel don"t bother. If all you want is a bed, decent wifi, ease for local travel and cheap local evening food it is PERFECT.

I understand its F1 weekend but last years prices to this year were around 3 times higher. However, how can you justify well over 1000 sgd when you have major construction work ongoing all day, damp mould smell throughout the hotel. And breakfast would have been another 12sgd each. The room and bathroom maybe wiped down but not clean? Black mould in the shower, shower curtain missing, just the rings. Holes drilled and filled from previous fittings now fallen off. Loose handles, and drawers, old blackout curtains with pinholes eating through the fabric. And no parking. A nice quaint old hotel this maybe once was but right now its old, tired, needs serious renovation (like next door). Its pretty bad that the owner feels comfortable to hike the prices that far for a hotel that had we not been committed due to almost as expensive F1 tickets would not have stayed there…..listening to daily jack hammering thunder through the walls.

This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel. A perfect, spacious, very clean accomodation for few overnights, managed by a pleasant and helpful staff. Both the terrace and rooftop terrace provide pleasant relaxation, the latter offering breathtaking views of the bay. Good value for the money, candidate for the next stay.

Only complaint is that the shower curtain was partially torn from the rings, but this could be repaired with a little care. It is also unusual that there is no hot water at the sink at all.

Rather old and a musty/humid smell. The room was basic, which is fine. But there was mould in the shower the sheets had holes and there was hair on night table and shower glass. The hotel is very close to the MRT station and in the heart of Singapore between the CBD and Chinatown. The room is aggressively air conditioned and the staff are helpful with issues like storing baggage. There's also a supply of chilled water, which you will need.

Remember to set your alarm as you don't have time triggers from a window. The cleaning staff generally come around late in the afternoon, when you might want to shower after being out in the morning. The lift was out of action one morning - I'm not sure why.
