River City Inn is a family-operated property in Singapore, within a 3-minute walk of the Singapore River and a 5-minute walk from the Clarke Quay MRT Station. It offers discounted attraction tickets and complimentary WiFi access. Regular and dormitory rooms offer air conditioning, bunk beds and lockers with locks.
Shared bathroom facilities come with a rain shower. River City also has lockers and a common air-conditioned lounge. Laundry facilities are available.
Our reception operating hours are 7:30am-12pm and 4-8pm for check-in. Do alert us if you require late check-in. We will arrange for a staff to work overtime to wait for you.
Just make your way to the hostel, ring the bell upon arrival and our staff will come out to assist you. Prior arrangement required. โข Late check-in charges are as follows: 1) S$8 per booking from 8pm to 12 midnight.
2) S$16 per booking after 12 midnight (alternatively, you may wait at the airport and catch the first train around 6am. Our staff will check you in from 7:30am to 12pm the next day at no additional charge. The property is 984 feet from nightlife options at Clarke Quay, Robertson Quay and Boat Quay.
Sri Mariamman Temple is also within 984 feet away, while the Changi International Airport is 11 mi away. Check out time: before 10am Please note that we are located on the 4th floor of a heritage shophouse without a elevator. Key deposit of S$20 per pax is payable per key The air-con in the dorms are turned on continuously for 12 hours throughout the night (21:00 to 09:00).
The dorms are ventilated with fans in the day.

The hostel was really good indeed, it was clean, comfy and easy to get from it to other locations.
The staff was the best thing about it tho, very helpful!
I didn't like the fact that towels aren't provided and also this wasn't mentioned in (what's provided and not provided) when booking. but overall it's good.

The whole washroom/toilet situation. The sink for brushing teeth is literally behind rรฉception and the kitchen. Imagine eating breakfast and seeing someone in front of you spit all the germs.... can't get over that. There's literally no privacy. No medium length mirror unless you go to the same sink which means people watching you as you fix yourself. The mirror in the room was only for the face, poor lighting made it useless for make up.

Great location! Close to Marina Bay and all atractions.
Feels a bit uncorfortable with lots of men sitting shirtless in the small common area...some in their underwear. AC only works from 9pm to 9am, so it is a sweaty place.

The room, lobby and the toilet were always clean, A staff was very nice, kind and helpful.
The location was very good, nearby the MRT, shopping mall, convenient store and tourist attraction spots.
No facilities such as toothbrush, toothpaste and towel, provided. I have traveled a lot, stayed in hostel many times, but not yet to experince this kind of service. At least if the towel was provided, it would be better.

Overall a good cleanliness and very friendly staff. The common area is spacious and there is a good frigde and a good microwave to use. Fresh water is available.
We had a relatively small room that had no windows, which came as a surprise because these were the most expensive beds to reserve. We booked the room with 6 beds. Also, air conditioning is only on from 9 in the evening until 9 in the morning.

Me and a group of my female friends stayed here and it was so bad we had to leave and book a hotel. We understand that we booked this as our cheapest option, but could not justify the lack of ventilation and air, horrible smell, stained sheets, and cramped space. The space was small and filled with shirtless men which was very uncomfortable. I would not reccomend this.

You can't walk around the hostel in slippers, you have to leave them near the shower, any hostel resident can use your slippers. In the morning I came to the toilet, someone was already taking a shower in my slippers. It's very unhygienic.

The location is central. In the middle of everything.
Beds are horrible. Squeaky. Lockers are made from metal and makes a lot of noise whenever you use them.
And some people definitely loved using the lockers for a continuous 10 min.
Some People who stayed there was very noisy and inconsiderate in the dorm room. People who donโt know how to share a space. Wouldnโt recommend it.

The person at the front desk is grumpy and not really friendly. The hostel also ask for a key deposit charged on cardโฆ and the money does not come back to the bank account. Basically i had to pay $ 20 extra as a key deposit that I havenโt received back.
Layout of the place. No windows in the rooms. The entry from the ground level to the hostel is really disgusting. And the staff member is not friendly.
