Hotel Triglav - Bled

Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 656 feet from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station. Hotel Triglav Bled is located above Bled’s rowing center. The center of Bled is 0.

9 mi away. It can be easily reached on foot by walking on the lakeside trail. All rooms and suites are comfortably equipped with many amenities, including air conditioning, and offer beautiful lake views.

The hotel features the à la carte restaurant 1906 Bled with Slovene Nouvelle cuisine and one of Slovenia's top chefs, a piano bar, a wine cellar and a fireplace lounge. The Triglav Bled also has a modern spa center and can organize meetings for up to 70 people, weddings, anniversaries, business lunches and Slovenian culinary workshops. Originally opened in 1906, Hotel Triglav Bled is one of Bled’s historic hotels, shaped by more than a century of hospitality and sixteen years of continuous refinement.

The hotel is set above Lake Bled’s rowing center, offering open views and a quieter position away from the busiest areas, while still within an easy walk along the lakeside trail to the town center. Bled Jezero train station is located just steps away. The hotel has 21 rooms and suites, all air-conditioned and designed for comfort and rest.

Many rooms offer lake views, while others face the surroundings and provide a more affordable option for guests who prioritize location, atmosphere, and dining over views. Dining is a central part of the stay. Restaurant 1906 offers an à la carte menu focused on contemporary Slovenian cuisine, seasonal ingredients, and a carefully curated wine selection.

The acoustic insulation is very bad. The wall and floor are not sound proof. I literally heard upstairs snoring the whole night. Please don't book if you are sensitive to noise.

The Hotel has a great location on a very good place, it met our expectations, everything was amazing, just like in the photos. The room was comfortable with a great view and big balcony, very clean and cozy. The breakfast was nice but could be better, and the dinner was really tasty and unique very impressive on the taste side but the menu needs work they can offer at least double of what they have now very limited menu no options and every day is same so if you stay longer you need to eat out more. The pool area is open and has a great view the water was very nice and warm. The sauna also very good. They offer a massage also. The hotel has its own parking and you can rent a bike if you want free of charge. They also offer a local tours they are a great opportunity to visit the country side. Everything is walkable and in great distance.

Hotel parking fills up quickly. If you arrive late, you'll need to park 100 Mt away. For a 4 star hotel, the atmosphere among the staff was a little bit too relaxed. It's likely because we were staying during the off-season. But despite that, we will come back again

The view was spectacular, despite the rain/fog. Breakfast was wonderful, with great options and wait staff very attentive. Enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna, and massage options.

Position of shower head and glass shower partition made it impossible not to spray water all over the bathroom floor unless you huddled in corner while showering. Rooms need some updating in terms of paint, cracked baseboards.

The hotel is an historical one right on the bank of Lake Bled. The position is amazing: it’s really outside the train station. To reach the lake you need big lumps and just a walk of 25’ to start your excursion around it. The room was perfectly fine and the pool as well. An extremely positive note goes to the breakfast, which is savoury and totally à-la-carte: as you accomodate you are given a menu from which you can order what you want the many times you want. That’s perfect to receive freshly cooked plates and to avoid wasting. Of course all was typically local food ? Another positive point goes to the kind reception lady, the miss with flashy hair: even though I made her so so so many requests, she was always happy to help and to give helpful advises. Thanks so much! ??

The ‘heated’ pool is definitely not hot. It’s just warm. Maybe in Slovenia it works like this? The hotel position is not comfortable to move on foot. I stayed there at the start of January and having a walk for dinner was impossible: everything in the nears was pitch black and there is totally anything near the hotel, with all locals, restaurants and shops being on the other side of the lake (25-30 min on foot). It was scary. This is of course not a fault of the hotel.

View of the island, spa/relax area, the entire vibe of the hotel and furniture (very old timey glorious alps hotel), restaurant is expensive but rightfully so; it provides an almost Michelin star dining experience.

Parking is as mentioned by the hotel, complex. Arrived on a Friday of low season, and still only 2-3 spots. During the weekend I was glad my car was already there because if I arrived that day I would have found no space in the hotel parking. I have to imagine in summer it must be a nightmare to get here by car

Loved everything about this place- amazing location, great love for details, fancy but very tasteful breakfast and everything was super clean. The staff is super friendly and you can see that everyone is doing their part to make this a perfect stay for the guests. Would definitely recommend the massage and spa area as well. Just love it here and we were sad that we had to leave .

The rugs on the wood floors are beautiful but create difficulty for rolling suitcases and can be a tripping hazard. The “fine dining” meal was elegantly served and tasty but a little sparse for the price.

The view of the lake is amazing! The rooms are comfortable, breakfast outstanding, and the staff topnotch. There's even an indoor pool. I loved my stay.

The hotel is perched on a hill a bit further from the lake. However, the facility offers free bikes, which more than made up for the longer walk and allowed me to zip around the lake in style.

The building is charming, and speaks of ages past, which is what I wanted. The view from the dining room is stunning. One is at the end of Lake Bled where the island is located (with the church on it). I had a massage that was top-notch. The dinner was superb! One can choose to have between four to eight courses from a set menu created by a very talented chef and his team. Breakfast was delectable. The staff are most attentive.

I was in one of the attic level bedrooms, which means it was quirky. I did not have a view of the lake but I did of the sky. The hairdryer was next to the toilet. These are the things that make a trip unique and jolly!

Quite far to walk to a restaurant, and to get a taxi back at night can be tricky, the hotel restaurant was full for dinner, we didn’t know we had to reserve in advance. Would recommend that they always keep tables for hotel guests as we didn’t have a car and there is nothing close by.

View is extraordinary, right above the lake and the church on the island. Just 100 yards from the train station (quiet and with it's own bar!) and the path that leads down to the lake. Hotel is very comfortable and very nicely decorated, lots of antiques and artwork.

Oh my gosh - that view! Wow - seeing the lake from the property was exactly what I wanted. We paid for a suite with lake view and it was well worth it. It was a very large room with an extra sitting area adjoining the room with a fantastic view. It was enclosed, which worked perfectly as it rained during our stay. The breakfast was amazing with many options. It is helpful to have a car, as it is not in town. It's at the other end of the lake and therefore much closer to the island. After going into town for dinner, I was glad that we weren't staying there. No charm to Bled at all. Very overrun with tourists. I would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect location.

A fantastic view and great staff but for the price, the room is a bit small (though as it is an old hotel that is as expected) and the bed made a bit of noise. The best part was the restaurant. For me, as it doesn't have a Michelin star but only a recommendation, it is underrated.

The bed could have been more solid.

This is a beautiful hotel with stunning views, and I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was excellent since you can order off a menu and everything is made fresh. The staff were warm and welcoming, and there are nice amenities like a sauna and pool even though I did not have time to use them. Parking can fill up quickly but it did not cause an issue during my visit.

The only drawback was that during my stay Wi-Fi was not very strong throughout the property, especially in my room. Overall, it is a great value and I wish I could have stayed longer.

This property is conveniently located close to Bled train station. Staff is very sincere to offer advice to international travelers. Meal is good & has wide selection, with good sauna & swimming pool usage.

The only downside is its location not close to town, for those who don’t drive a car. Nevertheless, it is not easy to get lost in Bled, given that it is a small town.

we did not have a view just a high window that we could open and it was great to get that cool air at night. the staff was really friendly. this hotel is on the opposite side of everything which means it was lovely and quiet. The walk into the center was lovely.

the beds were pretty stiff. they did give me an extra comforter to lay on and it helped.

Amazing hotel with incredible views over Lake Bled. The staff were all super friendly, the included breakfast was delicious and you could order as much as you wanted which is great. The spa area was clean and never too busy. Room was comfortable, warm and the balcony (I had a lakeside) was perfect for sitting and taking in the beautiful surroundings. The hotel was situated on the other side of the lake to most amenities but as I only had a small rucksack with me it wasn't a problem for me to arrive via bus into Bled and take the 30 minutes walk around the lake to the hotel. The hotel is next to one of the train stations so I'd recommend arriving by train or taxi if you have larger bags, but for me the walk meant I got to explore more of Bled than perhaps I would have if I were staying nearer to the main tourism area. Thank you v much to the hotel team, I hope to be back!

From the moment you enter the hotel you are greeted by a wonderful kind staff who are more than happy to explain about the hotel, everything you are wondering about Bled or Slovenia in general. The entire ambiance is top quality, warm and welcoming. My room was very clean, bed is comfortable and the lake view is even better. Breakfast is included and it's very fresh, nice selection of traditional food.

The location was excellent and the facilities were clean. They have a great pool and sauna. The restaurant has excellent five star food. I booked at the last minute in the very height of tourist season so the only room I was able to get was 10 ft.². And it was very fine, very clean. The location is way high up on a hill so if you want to walk into town for dinner, although it is possible, it’s quite a haul climbing back up a huge hill and very far to walk. So taxis are necessary if you have not rented a car. Be warned that while the restaurant has an excellent view and is a high-quality restaurant, with amazing food, it is not a ‘typical’ restaurant where you can sit down and order whatever you want off the menu. It is a minimum 4 to 9 course fixed dinner menu. And quite expensive. Very nice for food aficionado’s, not the average tourist. They do not make that clear in their marketing materials. This is a very unique and special place and it’s obvious since they’ve been in business for over 100 years that they have a very fond and loyal clientele. A very special touch for a wonderful holiday experience.

I would suggest clearly explaining your restaurant’s fixed menu. I suggest making it clear to your guests what kind of restaurant it is and the quality of menu because it’s very far away for someone to be able to walk into town and try to make it back at night should they prefer different dining experience.

Views were stunning and loved all the historical aspects of the hotel. The food and wine was also phenomenal! I wish I had time to enjoy the spa, but it looked pretty nice.

Only complaint was the bed was very very firm. I’m used to pretty firm beds, but this was like sleeping on the ground firm.

The breathtaking view was more than I could have imagined. I greatly enjoyed the restaurant, and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The onsite pool and spa was an added bonus. I enjoyed every moment of my stay. Everyone was very generous with their English, which I greatly appreciated.

The timer on the lights in the hall (which are motion activated could be extended so they don't shut off on you while you are waiting on the elevator and such. I left for my flight before the front desk had arrived and I had trouble getting the door to open (but perhaps it was operator trouble.) Fortunately I was able to give my door code to the driver and he was able to open it for me from the outside.

What a lovely hotel! My friend and I took a last minute overnight to Bled and found ourselves in this idyllic location. The view is great, the food is yummy, the staff were all professional and kind, and the Triglav massage was glorious (ask for Mitja).

I liked this about the hotel, actually, but this seems like a chill spot that isn’t really designed for obnoxious parties.

Hotel Triglav is a boutique hotel with a heritage building. It is not a brand-new but well-maintained. Key points of Hotel Triglav are (1) Stunning view of Lake Bled — if you choose to stay here, you “MUST” pay for the lake view room. Otherwise, do not stay here. (2) Plentiful breakfast — the option of sausages is truly perfect. Homemade apple jam is also fantastic. (3) Free parking — instead of paying painful prices for overnight parking; staying at Triglav can save that money for glasses of wine.

Nevertheless, there was some (acceptable) drawbacks such as water pressure was moderate. It was neither bad nor perfect. Water temperature was also not stable. It may turn from freezing cold to boiling hot in a matter of second without touching anything. Be careful.

Great location with a fantastic view. Very nice facilities and room. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The breakfast had good variety and was delicious.

It did not affect us but you can see how parking can be a problem in the high season. However, it seems they help you find a place to park even if the parking lot if full.

Lovely old hotel remodeled in the 2000s; great views from our one-bedroom with balcony, a comfortable bed, and very professional staff. Breakfast was served in the beautiful dining room overlooking the lake, and a small spa/ pool area is a welcome bonus. Parking was always available.

The plumbing in the room and the spa area is outdated. It is difficult to control the water temperature.
