The room was a good size, bed was comfy and the staff were friendly.
The heat in the hotel was quite unbearable. From walking in the lobby to the hallway and the room. The AC isnโt on at this time of year so relied on having the window open to try and cool the room down.
Our room was on the same side as the tram line so it was incredibly loud every time a tram went past. They stopped around 11pm and started again at 4.30am.
So had a terrible sleep.

After making my reservation, I started checking the reviews and noticed several comments about the hotelโs age and quality. To be honest, this made me a bit apprehensive before my arrival. However, from the moment I stepped into the hotel, the receptionists who welcomed me immediately put me at ease. Although I donโt remember their names, they were truly passionate about their work.
When I entered my room, I found it to be a standard Ibis room nothing more, nothing less. However, it was spotless and impeccably clean, with all the expected Ibis-standard amenities.
After checking out, I realized how unfair some reviews can be. Expecting an ultra-luxury experience from Ibis, one of the best value-for-money hotel brands in the world, is simply unreasonable.
I sincerely congratulate the General Manager for leading such a fantastic team and maintaining a well-run hotel. Thank you for making my trip with my son truly unforgettable.

The room was small, smelly, very soft beds. Not even that clean (also bathroom). Could use some reconstruction. Room did not have slippers or glasses for water.

The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The room was ok in terms of size and value for money and the breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
The room smelt like a teenager had let off a can of deodorant. We left the window open for several hours and it took the edge off of it but it remained. The shower was dated and could have done with some new tiles.

Basic but safe and location very good for the old town and connections- the room on the ground floor was dark and internal facing with bars on the window so felt prison like - only one plug socket in the room - but quiet compared to the rest of the hotel and breakfast was good when a available it did tend to get left empty at peak times.

Excellent location and value for the money. The city centre is quite close, you can reach it on foot. Even some of the distance parts of the city are within reach of ~40min walk. Close is the tram station and SNP bus station. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and excellent value for the money. There were wide variety of options which were slightly changing every day. Room was very clean, big and spacious, and bed was comfortable. Staff was always kind and helpful which is a major plus.
Maybe minor con was the power outlets, there werenโt ones next to the bed, yet next to the desk that was in the corner of the room.

I liked the location of the hotel, as well as facilities within it. Regarding breakfast, it was very tasty and I could combine something different every morning.
In our room, there was some strange stink that was not comfortable for us, we experienced it from the time of checking in the whole time. So we needed to open the windows every time we arrived to the hotel. Please try to fix this.

And there was a group of kids/teens from Poland. They were slamming doors, shouting and running in the corridor every night. Totally unacceptable behaviour. The teachers/guardians were absent while the kids were making everyone else's stay a nightmare. Yesterday I had to go to the reception at midnight to report the situation because they didn't let me sleep for the second night in a row. The hotel management should place customers on a different floor and not on the same floor with school groups.

The staff was very friendly, professional, polite and efficient. They greeted me with a smile when I arrived and made me feel like a valued guest. They also helped me out with all my questions. For example, when I needed to figure out how to get to Vienna airport, they arranged a taxi service for me, which really took the stress off me and helped me enjoy my stay. Also, I loved the breakfastโgreat selection and everything was delicious.

An IT glitch occurred on 12/1/25 when I booked 4 nights on the booking.com website. (WiFi was slow and I double clicked on payment so was doubly charged. It was a non cancellation option BUT was an absolute error. Errors do occur. I rang booking.com 3 times. Spoke to different individuals whose English wasn't good. One hung up on me. I can't get through in writing to booking.com. I appealed to Andrea in Ibis, Bratislava, to bring the error to her manager's attention and see if a refund can be made under 'exceptional' circumstances.

It's an Ibis, so don't expect anything too fancy. Decent room, but as with many in this chain looking a bit tired. The staff were great, getting our room ready at least an hour before the designated check in time. This was great as we had cycled a fair way that day and were a bit hot and sweaty!

The staff was great! So helpful from the second we walked in until the time we left! While the hotel is situated next to a tram, it just outside the majority of the cities noise. The room is a good size and we had a great city view from our room. Everything was clean and we felt very safe here! The city walls are very close by. Bratislava is a great city and is so easy to walk around everywhere.
The hotel is located next to a tram line and it runs most of the day and night. The room was warm so we had to keep the window open which made the tram noise louder (the air conditioner was not working in October).
