The location was the only positive aspect of my stay. Everything else was disappointing or below expectations

The air conditioning was extremely poor, and when I complained, the response was simply “take a fan.” The plumbing clearly needs maintenance — for example, the sink was leaking. The pillowcase was dirty (I have photos as proof). Service was average at best. Honestly, I did not like this hotel at all, and if I ever visit Birmingham again, I will absolutely not stay here.

The location was great, close to the train station and the conference that brought me to Birmingham. As someone that has been into Hospitality especially in Dubai, I was so impressed with the service and the staff acknowledgment, smiles and eye contact. One of the best I’ve experienced so far in the Uk. Superb customer service. The gentleman who checked me in (unfortunately i didn’t get his name), he is very great with the guest and very knowledgeable. Ann (I hope i spelt the name correctly) from housekeeping, was amazing with a welcoming smile. I stayed in room number 1520.

Everything was fine except the temperature in the room. Was sneezing all night. Beside this, everything was great.

I booked a hotel through Booking.com and received confirmation of my reservation, with payment due on arrival. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that although they had my booking on record, no rooms were available. The hotel had made no attempt to contact me in advance to advise of any issue—there was no phone call, email, or message of any kind. When I asked what arrangements they intended to make for alternative accommodation, I was simply told “nothing.” After expressing my frustration to three members of staff at reception, one staff member took it upon himself to try to resolve the situation. He contacted approximately four hotels, all of which were fully booked. On the fifth attempt, he thankfully managed to secure me a room at the Crowne Plaza. Overall, this was an extremely stressful experience that I would not wish on anyone. No compensation was offered, although the hotel did cover the cost of overnight parking at the local NCP car park.

We upgraded our room to a premium & it was without a doubt the best hotel room we've stayed in. The bed was really comfortable, there was no noise at night, it was perfect for our visit to the Alexandra and the breakfast was fantastic with the best choice of anywhere we've ever stayed

More variety of food, fruit and eggs not just scrambled and hard boiled. Room not very clean extremely dusty and crack in toilet. Suprisingly extension leads in use in the room, even if they have been pat tested not good for fire safety. Getting a drink in the bar on Friday evening was quite a challenge, 1 person serving and many guests waiting not very satisfactory for a busy city center hotel at the start of a weekend.

The reception staff were really friendly and efficient and our premium room on the 14th floor was HUGE and very well equipped. Great coffee machine.

The bed. It was really soft and felt like a water bed - the road is also very noisy but they cleverly provide ear plugs which are essential.
