Set in its own spacious grounds on the West side of Bournemouth center, the family-run Laguna Hotel features a sun terrace. The town center is a 10-minute walk and the beautiful Bournemouth beach is less than a 20 minute stroll through the Central Gardens. The Laguna is an older dated hotel which has been here for many years.

Problems on the Thursday and Friday with the room being serviced especially regading emptying bins and replacing milk, sugat etc. It improved on the Saturday and was satisfactory for the rest of my stay

The staff were smiling and relatively friendly. The hotel is okay though decor could be improved on.
We checked in after 6pm it took a while of ringing the bell before they opened.
Unfortunately the window in the room would not lock and air was coming in. We were a bit cold It's mid October!.
Worse still, the bathroom would not drain.My son with special needs had to get up and get out quicker.
I stood in dirty water showering.
My other sons skipped showering Please please fix it. IAM not sure we were given the best room or, if it was changed the last minute. There was also hair on the floor. I dont like giving poor reviews rather privately parhaps but sadly this was not nice.
We also as par booking appeared to have qualified for an included breakfast as genius but, we're told to pay when we went to the restaurant.

It was a great location, short walk to bournemouth town and beach. Staff were friendly and had free car park.
Bedding had stains on, hairs in the bath, taps covered in limescale and one didn't work properly. Uncomfortable mattress. It was noisy at night so barely slept. Another family staying in room above wetee shouting and banging around for nearly 3 hrs from 1 in the morning.

The smell reminded of my granny's house who passed several years ago

Everything else, the coffee in the morning somehow tasted like gravy, I also woke up with a bad back.
I didn't have a shower because it looked so filthy, plus the bath panel hanging off didn't give me any confidence

Rooms were well furnished and clean. Bathroom slightly dated and no heating so a little cooler than expected. The hotel was busy and having the rooms close to each other was very welcome. The lady on the reception desk was so nice and helpful.
The heating wasn’t working in the rooms but although it was cooler it was ok for one night stay.

We stayed overnight at Laguna on Saturday 29th November and checked out on Sunday 30th November. The hotel was in need of TLC to say the least. In room 18 the carpet looked as though an amateur had laid it, being pieced together and rising up the skirting board. The bathroom lock didn't lock. The taps had odd tops making it impossible to distinguish hot from cold. The toilet had a notice instructing you to hold the handle down when flushing???
At around 2 am there was what could mildly be described as a commotion. With slamming, banging thumping noises, raised voices, shouting, male screaming and loud laughter/giggling. Banging on our bedroom door etc.This continued to about 4:15 am making sleep impossible. During that time we were extremely afraid of what would happen to us. We thought of calling the Police but we're then concerned about repercussions toward us after they had left. Around 5 am there were extremely noisy males walking along the corridor. To sum it all up we were in fear of our lives. Never will we go there again. Why was this establishment on booking.com?

Bedding had marks on it, the beds were really uncomfortable, we woke up with bad backs, (we are 30) you could hear the people in their rooms around you and above you. Suppose to stay 2 nights but only stayed the one due to the bed. Bathroom was clean but had empty toilet rolls left on the side. Didn't use the breakfast facilties or pool so can't comment on those.
