Located on the seafront, overlooking Bournemouth Bay, Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa has an outdoor pool. With a superb cliff-top location, it is just a short walk from Bournemouth's town center and beaches. Paid parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Location of the hotel overlooking to sea was what attracted us to this property, having a spa and pool was perfect for our annual girly get together.

The spa and pool facilities we were told were in the neighbouring hotel, not at all what we expected. I stayed in room 130, there was a heater on the wall that didn't work. Absolutely freezing all night ..... horrible night. Apparently the hotel was full so we couldn't change rooms.

We wasn’t able to reserve any parking and it was on a first come first serve basis; however when we stayed we wasn’t able to park in the front of the hotel because it was reserved for a group which I thought was completely unfair so we had to park in the Cumberland hotel which was a few hotels down.

Hi yes , First room had just been painted and paint fumes so strong we had to move rooms, doors still tacky with paint. Moved rooms heating wasn't working so was given electric heater. After having electric heater on for an hour, my husband went to switch off at the socket and the socket exploded and sent out a spark which burnt my husbands finger and then all our electrics went out! We were on on way out so couldn't use anything to get ready and I was worried about the shock my husband just got! We went down to reception on our way out and told them. Reception said they would try and get electrics on or we would move you rooms when we got back from our concert ! Back from concert they couldn't fix electrics so gave us another room , this was 11pm at night. They gave us another electric heater to take to new room!! The new room was FREEZING and it was late so we decided not to move all our things and bed down in room with no electric! In the morning the maintenance man must have come into work as we were woken up by everything coming on (electric wise) at 8am!  People were lovely but this place is awful and to us was a danger ! The view was nice at the front of the property

Room was nothing like pictures. Bunkbed for the kids was flimsy and noisy. And their attempts to make it more sturdy they had screwed in extra bits of wood in the corners on the bunkbed. To be told by a manager that it wasn’t suitable for a 13 yo child (they knew his age as it’s requested upon booking) , To charge things and to use plugs we had use extension leads that were tacked onto the walls. Screws raised from the floor my son stepped on one coming out of the bathroom and one in middle of the floor area, room had a electric heater that was plugged into one of the extensions (not safe with children at all). And kept up most the night with a noise from the window. Staff were not inviting or smiling or anything. And the manager who did agree to (as a good will) refund me 50% of accommodation cost however even that was messed up and ended up charging me the 50% so then had to refund me back around £97 and now have to wait for that to come back into my bank. Hotel doesn’t have a pool inside however they have a picture of an indoor pool on the property pictures. (Shouldn’t be on there tbh) and they should explain to customers clearly when arriving. the whole place could do with some maintenance and work doing on the outside of building.

The guys on reception and the staff in general were friendly and professional. The location wasn't bad either.

The shower didn't work properly and the hot water in the sink had no pressure. The room decor looked like something out of the 60s. Really needs to be brought into modern living. The carpet was bad. The bed wasn't comfortable at all. The room felt like it hadn't been used in months. Towards the end of our stay, some of the lights wouldn't come on.

We arrived at about 10 pm after the flight back from Cyprus. This was a stop over before flying back to Belfast. The hotel is nothing like the pictures. Very run down, outdated and dirty. The bed had a huge dip in it, and springs made noises every time you moved. The carpets were badly stained and thick with dust and dirt. The facilities in the room were very basic and poor. Walls were dirty, and curtains need to be replaced badly. I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and this by far was the worst hotel I have stayed in, was more like a hostel. We stayed in another hotel on our way to Cyprus, which was less expensive but luxurious in comparison to this hotel. If we hadn't been totally exhausted and could have found somewhere else, we would have.

I found 2 members of staff very aloof and rude at 2 separate points during the stay, one when I was having a medical emergency. The beds are very uncomfortable and the room really hot for some reason even with the heating turned off. The carpet was all stretched and rippled. The shower was not high enough and you could not move it, the temperature of the shower was not hot enough or powerful enough

Dated deco, rooms were not clean, floors not hoovered once in our 5 night stay. One staff member I believe a manager was very rude and condescending, booked the hotel as allowed small dogs, no where did it mention a 25 per night fee for dogs, parking is an extra 12.50 a night also.

The kettle in the room had a bug inside. The room were dirty rusty. Very unhealthy and uncomfortable environment

Staff so friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable room. We were attending an event at the o2 academy and it was a 30 minute (nice) walk to it. Would recommend.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and overall had a positive experience. The location was convenient, making it easy to access attractions. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were helpful. The room was clean, and the bathroom was clean. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to business travellers and would stay again.

So the hotel itself was well presented, clean, friendly staff

However, our original room had a leak in the ceiling which was quickly sorted and we were moved into a much nicer room. But the problem we found was we paid for late checkout as we were out until late celebrating a birthday, so imagine my surprise when someone tries and does open the hotel room door at 11am (bare in mind I'm half dressed in bed) and then not even 20 minutes later we get reception calling asking when we are checking out, which I had to then remind them would be the late checkout time of 1pm.
