This accommodations only Hotel was originally built in the late 19th century. The Charlesworth is located in the very center of Bournemouth, only 8 minutes from the award-winning beaches and the town’s shops, bars and restaurants. In the town’s Westcliff area, the Charlesworth still retains many of its attractive original period features.
Today, the building has been sensitively updated and offers rooms with attached bathroom. All room are well equipped, with a fan, Freeview TV, tea/coffee making facilities, showers and hairdryers. The Hotel has 13 rooms over three floors - We have no elevator.
Pet-friendly rooms are available by request for an additional charge. Free WiFi wireless internet access is available throughout and the hotel also offers on-site private parking for an additional price.

We, a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 small children) stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, 6 days. Our room was spacious and we were able to fit comfortably. The room is cleaned every day, towels are changed every other day, bed linen is changed once. There was plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the room, there was also hot chocolate and cookies. The kettle was clean inside. We are pleased with our holiday and our accommodation.
It would be nice if family rooms also had a small refrigerator. The rooms also need cosmetic repairs.

Very friendly staff, the hotel is in a fantastic location, close to major attractions, restaurants, and beach. The rates are budget-friendly, which is great for travelers looking to save money.
There are some areas that need significant improvement. The facilities are quite poor and in need of maintenance. Additionally, the room I stayed in had an unpleasant smell, which detracted from the overall comfort of my stay.

Space in the room for 3 people was not great. Bathroom was very small and the shower head and water pressure was very disappointing. Motion sensors bathroom lights were a pain when you want to sleep. Any movement outside the room by passerbys triggered the light in the bathroom and disturbed sleep.

This hotel has to be one of our favourites so far! The location is right next to the beach. Literally a 5 min walk, and there’s a shop at the end of the road too if you don’t want to go into the town centre! However the town centre is about 10 mins if that walk away from the hotel too, so we had loads of options to do what we wanted. We came for the air show and it didn’t disappoint. The owners were lovely and welcoming and even gave us an earlier check in at 12pm as the room was ready for us when we arrived to drop off luggage so that was really helpful do get settled before heading down to the beach. The room was a good space for what we needed. It was just me and my partner and it was enough for us to rest our heads overnight, we had the tv, WiFi, and access to tea and coffee while we were here. The bathroom was also clean, and the whole room smelt lovely and was cleaned and refreshed daily for us with towels etc. We would definitely stay again when we come back on holiday here. The building itself is very old, and has so much personality. It felt homey, comfortable and honestly like I was at a little holiday resort with everything so close by especially the beach!
Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but everything is on a hill in Bournemouth which I didn’t know before, but it wouldn’t change my mind about staying again as it was worth it being in the prime location for everything we wanted.

Clean enough but could be better. A bit dated. Kettle was full of scale so I had to clean it out. Could do with some nets so that if on ground floor you don’t have to keep curtains closed in the day.

It was a beautiful little guest house. I loved it. Our room was comfortable, scrupulously clean, and really nice. We stayed one night to visit the BIC, and this was made easier because it was only a very short walk away. On departing, we were called back because they'd realised I have left Kindle in our room!!! It's such a nice place!

Hosts were lovely and very welcoming, they were very nice and let us use the car park after checkout which was lovely.
Room was very dated and in need of some tlc. Although the room was spacious, it lacked a homely feel. There is a light sensor in the communal area on the stairs. This shone very bright in the family room when people walked passed it, which wasn't great when you were trying to sleep.

We are lucky to find this place. The hosts are amazing and very kind people. They look after us well. The location and services are very good. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They also help us by keeping our luggage for some hours on our checkout day.
