Location right in the centre, 5 minutes from everywhere we needed to be. Large carpark next door as street parking limited. Clean and welcoming room. Comfy beds and friendly staff. Unexpected gift of chocolates on the bed (but then it was Valentines weekend ). We were looking for a comfy, cost effective place to stay in a good location for a night at the theatre. This was just the job.
Unfortunately our shower didn't work well. It wouldn't put us off staying again as this may well just be a one off issue in our room.

Single bed, request denied for a bigger duvet resulted in a poor night sleep. Weird bathroom setup required walking across communal areas to the private bathroom.
Shower was comically small for someone above 6ft.

The location is close to the town centre but quiet at night. I stayed an extra night and I would certainly stay again.
I had a private bathroom which was clean and fully equipped with soft fluffy towels and ecofriendly soaps and shower gel but it was not ensure. However, this was a minor inconvenience

The location
The shower head came undone when I turned the tap on. I couldn’t fix it so I couldn’t have a shower in the first day. By the time my wife fixed it, it was too late for me to have a shower.
The woman in reception who was there on Friday was very unhelpful in the way she tried to explain why we could not have breakfast in the conservatory with our very well behaved dog, when there wasn’t any other guest. Telling me what I ‘must’ understand, which is unacceptable. When we were back at around 1:30 pm for a rest, as I was entering the property with my dog on the lead , she called me to ask me to have my dog on the lead!!! When I was right in front of her keeping my dog on the lesd! I felt harassed by her. Absolutely unacceptable.

Great location.
The furniture in the communal areas could be improved easily and cheaply to make a big difference, it's currently very higgledy-piggeldy! Definitely ditch the plastic flowers!

I thought the dining area was a bit cramped tables too close to walk round. Only saw one staff but she did not have any interaction with guests as you would expect in a small guest house.
