Location was easy to find, only 10 mins from Chester. Great facilities. Pool, changing rooms were clean. Hot tub and sauna too. For families it was great, kids ate free for breakfast, welcome drink for them on arrival too. For younger kids the pool is perfect as it’s the same depth all the way across.
Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice.

We had a great one night stay at the Holiday Inn South Chester. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size. The hotel had seen our request for a cot and had one set up in the room. The hotel was also quiet so we were able to sleep in peace. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and gym. We were able to go to the Park and Ride and 15 mins into Chester so the location was perfect!
The outside looks a little tired, however, inside the hotel was nicely decorated.

The breakfast was lovely the veggie sausage was delicious and there was a good range. The staff were lovely and super helpful
The room smelled like must and cigarette smoke. It was supposed to be a disabled room but the shower was still over the bath which my disabled mum couldn't get in. For someone who doesn't drive it was really out of the way

Excellent Location near the A55 circa 10 minutes from Chester
Small Bar and Restaurant on Ground Floor also serving Starbucks Coffee ( No loyalty card points )
Leisure Centre Attached including Pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna
Ample Parking and Friendly Staff
Petrol Station with Greggs and Starbucks attached to provide emergency munchies
Air Conditioning / Heater in the Room pre programmed and unable to alter, so room was either too hot or too cold when switched on / off
No Extractor Fan in Bathroom linked to lighting so any smells or condensation remained for a long time
First Room allocated was not made up so had to re-check in and second room did not feature a double bed, only twin singles as hotel was fully booked ( 3pm ? ) - I was given a free drink voucher but didnt use it.

Good value for money and great location for access to Chester.
Room very outdated, with old carpets etc. Lingering smell in room, but not bad enough to ask for a different room. Booked hotel specifically for pool use on Friday night/Saturday daytime but 50% of pool was being used for public swimming lessons so very busy/noisy, changing rooms also old/dirty.

It was convenient and close to Wrexham where we were attending our sporting fixture.

The shower was powerful and water hot and plentiful. Bed was OK.
Breakfast was extremely expensive (£16.95 p.p) and even continental was £10+) Room and bed was OK but bathroom was VERY shoddy - badly cracked sink, scuffed fittings, parts of the bath (the bit to control the bath "plug") coming away when handled - not something expected of an IHG hotel.

Nothing was a awful experience
Manager was really rude. Staff was gathered round speaking about guests, was made embarrassed after explaining about having a disability, no help was offered to help with making the stay more comfortable, room was dated, no light in main area, no phone signal, miles to walk to even get to the room, extremely expensive for what it is, would not come again, would not recommend to anyone! Avoid at all costs!!

Great staff - very friendly and helpful
Pillows were not comfortable for me but I knew that would be the case from previous visits. A little too hot in the room as well and there was a slight leak from the toilet. I was only staying one night and was off at 7.30am so it was just a bed for the night.
I didn't bother with breakfast as I didn't enjoy it last year when I stayed so I went next door to Starbucks for a large coffee there.

Staff were helpful and polite. Room was big enough
The toilet was faulty and water was running loudly into basin almost our entire stay. Lot of noise in corridor. Paid for what was supposed to be a room with streaming services but they were not working. When it was queried we were told there were no maintenance people they had all gone home. So we were stuck with gurgling water noises from the bathroom and we didn't get the facilities we prepaid for in full. Very unhappy.
