On the weekend it got rather busy with people popping in from their walks for food and drink. However the hotel did not have enough staff to deal with the demand, this crossed over into Saturday evening as it took over 30 minutes for meals to come. That being said the staff were understanding and were very apologetic.

The hotel ,staff and the food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and with it being a dog friendly hotel it was ideal for our springer. Very impressed with this hotel, it's location and price for our stay. Excellent value for money, will definitely be coming back.

Wouldn't prevent us from returning but the security light with bright green light, was excessively bright. This kept us awake. I'm sure the owners probably haven't seen how bright it is at night, so more a development point for them.

The location is perfect, short drive to Keswick town centre and close to amazing hikes. The hotel is very clean, bed is comfy, breakfast included definitely a plus and they offered a saussage for our dog every morning. The view from the restaurant and terrace is lovely and they have ducks and many birds around.
No noise cancelling in the bedrooms so you can hear neighbors and people/dogs in the hallway.

The location is perfect for walks around the lake as well as for visits into Keswick town centre.
Quiet and lots of wildlife. Amazing night skies as very little light pollution.
The rooms are spacious and beautifully fitted out.
The bottle bin from the bar being emptied into the outside bin at 7.15 in the morning wasn’t the ideal wake up call. Fortunately this didn’t happen on the second morning.

No mixer tap in en suite sink. So the water was very hot from the hot tap and very cold from the cold tap. No plug for sink so had to wash face with very cold water.
