Breakfast was very good. Proper Heinz ketchup and HP bottles not those nasty plastic sachets.Very nice bread for toast and the butter packets were thawed so you could actually spread it.
All in all it was an excellent stay and the price to quality and service ratio is exceptional.

Room serviced every day which is above the norm compared to other quest houses. Good value and would return without hesitation. If you paid another £20 plus per night the rooms would be as they say contemporary but that's personal choice.
Nothing to complain about but a fruit bowl next to the cereal and different sausage would be a plus.

This is the most nicest place to stay. Owner Gary really knows what the guests need. Rooms comfy ,clean, .and well presented. Room cleaned every day, with fresh towels and refreshments replenishing. Breakfast is fantastic, well cooked, and served hot. Toast is thick cut with choice of white or wholemeal. I have stayed in many places in Scarborough, which have never reached the standards at the Dolphin. Gary's hospitality is excellent. This is highly recommended the place to stay. Lovely Park, Peasholm 2 minutes walk and town centre 10 minutes.
There is not one negative thing.

The place was very nice and cozy, but the absolute highlight of our stay was Gary❤️, the host. First of all, he gave us a free room upgrade and he was absolutely lovely all around. Gary the host was very welcoming and knowledgeable regarding places to visit and bus time tables in and around Scarborough. Breakfast was absolutely amazing really set you up for the day ahead. Guest house is about 10 minutes walk to the centre of Scarborough’s shopping centre and a few minutes more to the beach.
Will definitely be staying here again.

Owner was very friendly and helpful and, by prior arrangement, offered to let me leave luggage and access room early as I was there much earlier than expected. He also advised me on quickest and cheapest way to get to RSPB Bempton which I had previously given up on going to. Check in and check-out were both very smooth. Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in room were great with a biscuit and mint - all refreshed daily. A range of toiletries was provided in a very clean ensuite bathroom. Shower worked fine and was hot. Location is about 15-20 walk from station and town centre (I couldn't see an obvious bus route but personally didn't need one). There are convenience stores nearby. Full English cooked breakfast was excellent with tea or coffee juice and toast.
I was in Scarborough for an event a Scarborough Spa and although not the closest acommodation to the Spa this was an great base for me - quite an easy 25 minute walk to and from the Spa and easy access to other parts of Scarborough. Very good value stay.
