The rooms are a little dated and could do with some modernisation, it was also cold weather during my stay and the rooms can be cold and draughty.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food, both at breakfast and dinner was good, with an excellent range of choices available at all times. Service was speedy and efficient. I am coeliac and therefore have special dietary requirements which I felt the hotel catered for very well. I would recommend the dining facilities to anyone who has similar dietary needs.
Our room was comfortable and had all that we required but would benefit from general freshening up. My comments are not a criticism of the overall cleanliness of the room or the decor, both of which were satisfactory. However, the carpet was stained and perhaps required deep cleaning, the sofa also had some stains and the cushions looked as if they would have been improved by "freshening" or updating.
Of particular concern was the flooring in the bathroom which was cracked and damaged and well past it's use by date. I believe this has been mentioned by previous reviewers.
As a result of a plumbing issue our room became unusable on the final evening of our stay. Due to the unavailability of alternative accommodation at the hotel, it was necessary for us to move to another hotel late in the evening. This was at no extra cost to ourselves but was disruptive. The hotel kindly made an adjustment to our final bill in acknowledgement of the inconvenience.

Lovely home, very comfortable, beautiful interior, all that you could need was provided. Staff were great, friendly and helpful, food at the hotel was lovely too.
An enclosed garden for letting the dog out would have made it spot on but with some repairs and a garden tidy it'd get 10/10 from us.

Something didn't work out on my booking so that we did not get the accessible room we thought we had booked. So we had to climb stairs and could not use the over bath shower which was a shame.

The fabulous location and views, the warm and friendly welcome we received from a member of the bar staff, the lovely receptionist, the delicious food, the clean and comfortable bedroom (room 9). We have stayed before so we know what to expect. The room was a good size with a nice comfy bed. The bathroom had a nice large bath which was nice to soak in. We got an email after booking to book for dinner which we did. Breakfast is spot on not to big but it hits the spot.
Talking to the owner we said we did not get breakfast in the price. He said if you book direct it is in the price. just something to remember next time.
