Lovely beach front location , loved the old property .
The hot tub , sauna and massages were an added bonus . Breakfast buffet was good .
The duvets need upgrading ours was lumpy and donโt fit the bed . Parking charge was a negative at ยฃ10 per night but we paid it for convenience, they squeeze so many cars in there . Wasnโt given enough information at check in

Good value for money. Great food, drinks reasonably priced. Lovely welcoming, helpful and friendly staff throughout. Our dog was welcome and able to stay without issues. Spa treatment room much better than expected. Bingo entertainment was inclusive and fun. Lots of board games available to borrow.
Tiny shower and awkward shower door. Bathroom fan never been cleaned & thick with dust. Couldnโt open window in room, fan provided but dirty and full of dust. Cutlery and crockery, glasses and cups not fully clean. Marks and bits of food on them all. Toaster and drinks machine felt a bit dirty. Car park limited, next option was to park really far away. Booth seats in bar felt unclean.

Great location and the food was quite nice.
Most of it was an absolute joke. Parking with cars stacked like tetris board. Most of the staff behaving like they were punished to work there, wearing dirty clothes and having a blast getting drunk in the pub/restaurant. All sticky and dirty, with filthy carpets and half broken blinds in the rooms. Bed with a spring mattress that was as used up, as my patience.
If you are planning to use the SPA - don't bother. I've booked the couples spa package, however the hot tub didn't work (they figured it out 15 mins into our appointment), after waiting for another hour at the bar, we've been finally seen by the massage therapists. One was great, the other one who was drinking till 11pm the night before in the pub, was breathing like she was about to collapse and yawning like it was the most boring hour ever. Super relaxing! But of course I should be grateful, the manager gave us 2 bottles of 0.33 coke zero on him for the inconvenience and didn't forget to mention it, When I asked for a partial refund for the SPA package, that was underdelivered - no money was refunded. Though we were offered a discount for the next stay, as if I was ever planning to come back to this hell hole.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The decoration was neutral and newly done. The shower worked well and the temperature didn't alter when i showered.
The tea wasn't replenished once we used it. The Toilet paper was also not replaced so we had to take some from down stairs.

I usually donโt expect much but this took my expectations to a new low. The whole thing was weird and my children hated it we like absoultey nothing about it and would never go back not even if I was paid
Considering we were already apprehensive I donโt think the first thing you want to be asked as you go up the steep dark creepy stairs is โare you scared of clownsโ usually Iโm not but this was horrific. There was no ac. The windows didnโt open and 2 broken fans for 4 of us in a room is far from ideal we were in there for about a minute before our minds were made up and the sweat dripping from our balls did not help. Itโs safe to say do not book the โfamily roomโ because you might not be the same family when you leave. The karaoke was weird and off putting and to sum it up it I will not be returning is an understatement. They were very accommodating about our refund but for some reason I donโt think we were the first people to not want to stay there so that was good but all in all it was disgraceful.

Staff were absolutely brilliant, very personable and very accommodating of our various requests - it made the stay really. The hotel is, and I mean this in absolutely the best way possible, a bit of a mad place, with a spa, an escape rooms, bingo nights, a smokehouse restaurant, a games room for kids etc, and a valet parking system that's a sort of constant game of Car Tetris - somehow the staff make all of this work. We normally stay in Premier Inns or Travelodges and this had so much more character. Really liked the private jacuzzi/spa. Also the shower in our room was excellent. Will definitely stay again.
Look there's only so much you can do room-wise with these seafront hotels that have been there for over 100 years. Room (in the annexe) was fine if a little tired and not much soundproofing. I didn't get a brilliant night's sleep (although my wife did in fairness). But we were on a cheap last-minute deal, a family seaside break not a 10-year anniversary. I only mention this so that people don't give harsh reviews in future because they expected something different.

The sea view was the saving grace once we have complained about our original room and was relocated here.
Our original room was not great. Small for a family of 4, at the back of the property and no views. The rooms and beds were all old. The pics are deceiving.. The whole building actually needs to be refurb really. The parking out back was super tight to get in and was full so had to walk 10mins away to park (permit complimentary of hotel) so was rather inconvenient with kids and all the luggage we had with us. They upgraded up to top floor sea view at the front of the building which is much more spacious and liveable. The sofabed caves in, even for my little 6yr old to sleep on and he hardly weighs anything.... disappointing to say the least.
The Sea view was the saving grace really... Otherwise the rating would be much lower.

The Hotel was in a good Location, a good walk along the seafront to town and entertainment and just across from beach and beach hutt.
Itโs a Hostel inside, The carpet is awful throughout and didnโt feel clean. So many stairs to rooms with your luggage was hard work, there is a lift but was broken. Parking here is horrendous you have to give you key in so they can move it around to let other cars in and out, this made me anxious as one car got scraped. Shower cubicals like a caravan.
I was shocked as I chose this over a premier Inn as wanted more luxurious stay and itโs was more money, the rooms should be much lower in prices. My friend stayed in a Bronze and it was a Box Room - SHOCKING

Nice bar and breakfast was good. Location also good.
I am not sure if my room was actually cleaned. Damp dirty towel on bed which I had to ask for a new one. Bin had not been emptied and toilet had remains from previous guest. I have a feeling the bed linen was not changed either.
Shower was terrible and the basin filled up instantly when you had a shower. The dribble that came out was either extremely hot or cold.
The room was probably the worst I have ever stayed in and basically everything needs changing.
They say they have parking at the hotel. Charging people for that is a joke.
That was an experience to forget.

The breakfast was very good, as was the food from the smokehouse/Three Chimneys.
The bed was comfortable.
The room was like a combination of student accommodation from the 1970's with some nice updated touches (such as the lights).
Parking was ยฃ10 - there was the option of parking in a car park 10-15 minutes walk away (ยฃ20 refundable deposit for that), but who wants to be that far away? If you pay you have to leave your key in reception, as the car park is small and they have to shuffle around the cars to allow patrons to leave.
The lift doesn't work - hope that you are not on a high floor or there will be lots of stairs to traverse.
The walls were very thin - there is actually a rule in the hotel booklet which says they will fine you if you are noisy in your room between 10 pm and 8 am! Unfortunately one of the people in a room near me was a heavy snorer.
The room was described as ensuite - what you expect when you read that is a bathroom. What this meant was that there was a shower cubicle just inside the door to the room, a toilet in a small cupboard-room opposite that, and a hand basin in the room itself. The hand basin had a large crack in it. The frame at the base of the shower door rubbed against the shower door, leaving missing paint and dirt.
The room was small - with a double bed, there wasn't actually sufficient space to have an open suitcase, except on the bed.

Breakfast was good but if the men were serving we had to ask for the table to be cleaned as they only took away the plates etc.
Car Park was ยฃ10 per night and had to leave keys so they could shuffle cars around as they were stacked in front of each other, or free parking 10-15 min walk, we were expecting the free parking to be on site, we were told itโs in their description but we were welcome to pay the road parking outside which was much more expensive. We had to sign terms and conditions with no time to read them in full or any choice but to sign, talking to other guest we had agreed to be fined if you made any noise or didnโt obey the rules. We stayed in a silver room, which had been recently decorated so it was clean, but very small and noisy, TV was fitted unlevel which was weird, curtains didnโt cover the sides so light came in early. We had to ask for clean towelโs when we arrived as the existing had brown marks on them, no soap when we arrived, the only soap is in a dispenser over the sink so we had to buy soap to use in the shower. No towel rail or hooks to hang wet towels no hooks to hang coats, two hooks were fitted towards the end of our stay after we requested them. Personal preference the bar had to entertain you throughout the evening, i.e. bingo etc only 3 people wanted to play out of a almost full bar so everyone had to put up with it, so we only spent one evening in the hotel. Darts and Karaoke were very expensive i.e. ยฃ22 to play darts.

The room had a kettle and packets of coffee.
If you're looking for a full sensory experience, this place delivers.
The bed had a crater in the middle so impressive I briefly considered naming it and applying for planning permission. Most of the springs had clearly retired years ago and were enjoying a well-earned rest.
The walls were so thin I got to know my neighbours better than some of my relatives. Combined with the constant symphony of slamming doors and creaking floorboards, sleep became more of a suggestion than an activity.
The door lock was positioned about a foot off the floor for reasons known only to the architect. Perhaps it was designed for very security-conscious toddlers.
The bathroom fan deserves special recognition. Once switched on, it continued running for approximately three hours, displaying a level of dedication and commitment sadly lacking in the mattress springs.
Overall, if you've ever wondered what it would be like to sleep in a noisy train station while slowly rolling into a mattress shaped sinkhole, this is the place for you.
