One minor comment was the lack of bath towels. There were a few days when we were not given enough towels. The front desk mentioned that there was shortage and gave us beach towels.

The prices at Backflips were way too high. They seemed to set their own prices and went up every time we went back. We went there less and less as the week went on. $23.50 for two drinks is a little crazy. Just sayin'

Kind of off the beaten path, fairly quiet with mixed crowd of old, young, families. Although so rowdy folks but all in all, you could sleep at night without being disturbed too much.
Oceanfront room should have a coffee maker. We brought our own but it would have been nice if we didn’t have to bring one.

The room was comfortable and the hotel is pretty cute. We ate one meal at the restaurant by the pool and it was good. Had coffee at the coffee shop and were happy with what we received. The staff were pleasant. We had to leave a day early because of illness and the hotel refunded that night's stay. That was greatly appreciated!
The hotel is need of some updating. We were glad to see they have some improvements planned, such as carpeting and lighting. While the hotel is listed as beachfront, the main building where we stayed is not actually on the beach. The walk to the beach is short but I felt it was a little misleading. They do have other buildings that are on the beach. In order to get beach chairs, etc., you must wear a wristband provided at check-in. These are not designed to be taken off and on, which is understandable, but the idea of wearing it to shower and sleep was not appealing. One of the biggest disappointments for us was that the winds were too strong for the beach umbrellas to be up. And they couldn't put them up at the pool either. My husband and I need the shade or we burn. I know the hotel can't control the wind but we could not find a shady place to relax and enjoy the beach.

I absolutely loved this place. Independently owned full service hotel gave it so much charm and great customer service. The location for someone looking for a slow beach pace was perfect. The private beach and pool are lovely with Publix and a whole strip of wonderful restaurants and shops only .5 mile walk up the road. The onsight restaurant was surprisingly really good, and we enjoyed most of our meals by the pool/beach. Truly hope to come back, this place was ideal for the way I like to vacation.

Lots, no coffee and tea makng in the room, breakfast on first day was cold, not served positively, after first day went elsewhere thereafter, eg coffee and sandwich in coffee shop, but which closed at 17.00. Unexpectantly, beach is across the street, not enough pool loungers around pool.

Excellent location steps from the beach. Loved the convenience of the onsite coffee/deli bar and CVS,Publix and restaurants right across the street. Great beach service (chairs/umbrellas/towels and bar service)+ pool and bar/restaurant.
The rooms are okay but the ac was loud and hard to regulate. The carpet needed cleaning and our maid service was not consistent. Ask for a room with ocean view - makes a big difference. Need to add table to the balconies.

Older and could use a good facelift. Room was not like on pictures. A lot of what was in the advertisement was not available (for example the turtle laying night tour described was not heard of by staff). We were charged a parking fee of $20 per day due to booking with Hotels.com. VERY UNREASONABLE! Beds were wet/damp and musky smell in room. AND … biggest disappointment of all was the balcony!!! There wasn’t one? A balcony door that led you to nothing? Other buildings did have one. .. but I felt treated poorly/differently due to booking from Hotels.com..and not directly through the resort. Could never get to lounge by pool - not enough beach chairs in that area at all!

Perfect location, right next to the beach. The room are clean, cozy and pretty big. The housekeepers did and amazing job cleaning the room very well and daily (without even asking). The hotel has breakfast zone with tasty food (additional fee). A very big plus is the fact that we had free beach towels, long chairs and umbrellas. The beach is clean and not too crazy, pretty quite actually.
The hotel was above my expectations, I red some reviews before booking and was a little bit worried but it's all good.

No microwave and they could use an actual ice maker. It’s a freezer with bags of ice. Not enough lounge chairs around pool. They have an adults only side with pool but never saw anyone in it. Adults not staying on bungalow side should be able to use adult only pool too.

Location was perfect!
We stayed in the tower across the street from the beach. Understanding they are making improvements but we noticed in the bathroom we didn’t have any counter space to put our stuff. Maybe in the future. We also prefer hardwood floors being at the beach but I’m sure that is in the works

Check in was quick and easy. Our room was very well equipped and clean. The location to the beach and the town is perfect.

The pillows!! They start out fluffy, but quickly become flat.
Next time we come, we’ll get a room with a balcony for a little extra space.

Beach front building a must! the views are beautiful.
They are in middle of renovations, I'm sure only get better.
Carpets in hallways have to go. The coffee shop needs to improve their coffee
