Convenient location. Easy remote check in. Comfortable bed. Although its going for a retro look, it could use some upgrades. Other reviewers mentioned the road noise. I used a white noise app on my phone and didn't have any issues.
Room was a bit small and the price seemed high compared to traditional hotels in the area. Some minor issues that could be easily addressed that I already communicated to the owner.

The room was very clean & the bed was comfortable.
The worst thing was the smoke alarm. The alarm went off at random times & the last morning it went off 5 times. No way to disconnect it!! No plug in the bathroom & no place to put anything for toiletries. We stayed 3 nights & they brought clean towels once!!!!

well it was available on two weeks notice which is saying something in Fredericksburg. staff was nice. room was clean and ready on time.
the bed was incredibly hard - and I like a firm bed. the sheets were also pretty rough. the ac unit was so close to the bed it blew right in my face with no way to adjust the vents. its also really small. not a bad place, just not a good value. one would expect with the weekend rates they charge they would try and make it a bit more comfortable. I hate writing a negative review as I knew going in it wasnt 5 star accommodations, but my expectations were a little higher than was provided.

Only the location was good.
Everything else besides the location. The employees placed me in a dirty room to start, I had booked a suite which I would not consider a suite. They then refunded me $27 and moved into what I can only describe as a 1950's unlevel shack. The air conditioner was right up against the bed and proceeded to blow directly on you without any way to get away from it. I am a country boy and frankly can say sleeping on the ground outside in the Texas heat would be more satisfying stay. Especially for the $250 we spent on the room.

No electrical outlets in the bathroom. Turning the water off to the motel wasn't a good move. Because they tell anyone that were staying there that they were going to shut the water off. Never talk to anyone who was in charge of the motel

Value, location and it was clean. Liked the retro feel, as well. We were only going to be in Fredericksburg one night -- and it was a last-minute decision -- and we appreciated the value. Also liked the retro, metal porch chairs and small table outside the door of our room. We ate breakfast and drank our coffee there.
It was great for what we needed -- an affordable place to spend the night close to downtown Fredericksburg. Not sure I would spend 3 or 4 nights there, however. The room was small and the recent remodel job didn't cover up the age of the motel. It's a very old property.

No permanent staff at location. Very cramped quarters, could use some shelves and counter top for storage and better use of space. No Ice machine or ice trays. No dead bolt for door. Need a community center/room.

Room was nicely renovated. Bed was on the firm side which I like but maybe too firm for those that don't like a firm bed. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. Nice quiet area. Not walking distance to downtown but a short drive of a mile to a mile and a half. I had trouble checking as the keypad entry was not working but housekeeping was there and provided me with a key. Staff was very accommodating and easy to reach.
It was not disclosed there was no cable or satellite tv. As I was riding my Harley through the Hill country it would have been nice to have the weather channel Fortunately the weather was good aside from some early morning fog. Only apps on the flat screen which was extremely difficult to navigate so I gave up and just worked from my tablet. .

Literally nothing. There was nothing to like about this accommodation.
Everything. It was the worst accommodation we ever stayed in. If we could give less than one star, we would do it. The room was so dirty. There was still food of previous guests in the fridge, there was a dead spider on the bed, and there was a cockroach in the room. I wouldnt want to sleep there one more night, even if it was for free.

Location, ease of check in (keyless), cute retro motor court lodging and quietness of property.
No ice machine on property; you have to drive a little distance up the street to get a bag of ice from the Kitsmiller Inn, which is an inconvenience. No soda machine on property either. Very bright lighting outside which keeps the room very lit up even when shade is pulled, so no darkness at all when trying to sleep. Room could use a dresser (husband likes to put his clothes in a dresser during our stay in motels).

The AC in our room blew RIGHT on the bed. And the window at the head of the bed made it impossible to sit up in bed.
One guest family brought a boombox out and was pretty obnoxious to the already existing music from the food truck.

The room was clean and comfortable for the amount of time and purpose of out stay. Our room was a decent size with enough room for a small loveseat and coffee table. My daughter and her boyfriends room was much smaller. I loved the old school feel of the layout and set off the road just enough bro give privacy and not be to loud. Check in was easy, we were called and given the code to unlock our room and that was it.
If there is a problem there is no onsite staff.

The value is great. The rooms were very clean. Its not fancy but it is quaint and that is perfect for us.
The only small issue was there was a musty smell in the restroom. Our friends said theirs was the same way. I think maybe the shower floor doesnt run water to the drain properly and it stands in water.

It was really small and floor wasn't level so bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. Bed was very hard for our liking. It got very cold because ac is right by the bed so take a good blanket of your own.
