I liked the uniqueness of the property. It's a quaint area that reminds you of being inside of a Hanzel and Gretal type of cottage. Cute and cozy.

The owner's were quite attentive and our check in process was quite simple. Would have enjoyed a more expansive breakfast option but other than that we enjoyed the cottage charm.

We enjoyed the location as it was very close to all of the wineries in the area and also only a 10 minute drive to down town. The property is well kept and had a great theme to it.

The inside of our cottage was not clean. There were spider webs all over, lots of spiders crawling throughout, in the shower, on the couch, in the kitchen sink, etc. It was dusty too and the shower/toilet were not very clean. The bed/pillows were ok, not horrible, but also not super comfortable.

Cute setting Breakfast, while not to everyone's taste, was delivered to room.

Build up of long term dirt and spiderweb. Had lizard in room, spiders in shoes and cockaroach in shower. Host offering political views rather than tips on the area. Overall felt in need of deep clean and some TLC. Similarly priced options in the area seem to offer more, minis the quirkiness Yogurt out if date.

Place was very filthy and not kept up all around. Owner was rude, insulting and made discriminative remarks towards Mexican. He said there was a Mexican like me bitching about the place causing problems. All because I said the place was not well kept up for the $491.55 we paid for two nights. The place was nothing like the pictures he advertised and what he said the place amenities it had. He said breakfast was sausage and cheese. The basket where he showed us he carried the breakfast to the cottage was so dirty I did not feel it was safte to eat from. He did not keep any sanitary guidelines whatsoever. He said that was the way the wilderness is and that's what we paid for. So we ended up not staying at all due to unsafe and unhealthy environment. He raised his voice and said there was no refunds if we did not stay. We did not feel safe in that place with the way he was treating my sister and I, who are both senior citizens and wanted to go and relax in a safe, clean relaxing environment. We DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I would suggest to check all of the reviews before you make your decision. We are not the only one that had horrible experience. There were many other guests that alot more problems thatn we did, including someone else's crumbs on their bed sheets. It's obvious they don't even wash the bed sheets. It's horrible.

Henry and Barbara were so welcoming and helpful! Oir cottage was so adorable, the breakfast was hand delivered to our porch, and the grounds were peaceful and reminded us of a fairy garden, especially at night! One of a kind place!

The loft area was very warm, even when the AC was on. It was so uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on the loveseat downstairs. There were also ants throughout the cottage.

It was absolutely wonderful. The first night we got there the ac had gone out and Henry called multiple ac repair shops and got it fixed that night! Thank u so much! And after that it was just perfect. Hes done an amazing job on the property! Beautiful lighting, darling frog pond, soothing waterfall. The cottage is so cozy, the bed was perfect, soft pillows & supportive mattress. The breakfast, although not what Americans expect, cold meat, cheese, bread, fruit & yogurt, was very good and really all we needed.. Barbara and Henry and super sweet and welcoming. We just loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We didnt wanna leave. The grounds were so incredible that I think this sets them apart from all other B&Bs in the area. Well be returning as soon as we can.

Needing some towels in the kitchenette for dish drying. I would have liked the breakfast to not be the exact same items daily, variety would have been nice. The only other thing Id say is it was so expertly decorated that every spot had a trinket. I wanted some extra space in the bathroom to put my things. As well as maybe a small set of drawers to unpack just a lil. We were there 4 nights and thats a lot not to be able to have easy access to clothing and personal items. Otherwise this is the PERFECT get away! I would recommend this property to everyone!

This place is exactly what you see on the website. Henrich and Barbara were delightful. The many touches added through the cabin added to the fun! The pictures dont lie, this is a fairytale property with 4 separate cottages. The grounds are beautiful, with a duck pond (including 4 baby ducks not afraid of anything and following you everywhere). You can lounge around outdoor fire pit or have drinks at the outdoor bar area. We rented all of them with our family (10 adults) and everyone loved it!

Each cottage has two bedrooms but they dont have doors: the bottom bedroom opens up to the sitting area and the upstairs bedroom (reachable by pullout ladder only) is in the loft. Its noticeably warmer upstairs in the loft so the AC needs to bed set cold. Great for a family with kids but less suitable for 4 adults.

I liked how it was tucked away and quiet. The little houses were nice. I enjoyed talking with the owners of the property. Loved the cats! The bells of Notre Dame were a nice touch on the hour. And the frog pond was cute.

I was surprised at the breakfast. It was good, but in my mind, I was expecting a hot breakfast... but that may have been my misunderstanding. Parking was a little tricky to maneuver, but I was able to back out fine.

It's truly like a fairytale I could not believe how absolutely adorable and magical everything was and I really do mean magical! This was honest to goodness the best place I've stayed in Fredricksburg!

Feels like a home rather than a hotel. I saw several deer just outside my house in the morning, which is amazing. The owner was very helpful and kind. The free wine and breakfast were great. The interior design of the room were perfect for young kids.

Hope the parking lot could be closer to the house, esp. when the weather is not that good. The house may use a bit renovation whenever appropriate.
