Only the inside of our room
As we walked in we were immediately hit with strong pungent cigarettes smell that I had my kids wait outside with dad while I checked in staring at the "no smoking" sign on the counter. The lobby area and hall reminded me of a Travelodge or motel 6. Even as we walked to our room on the 2nd floor I had a flashback to one of those old horror movies that took place at a rundown motel and clutched my kids even tighter. We had a pool view which would have been cool if the pool was actually clean and the water wasn't a pond looking green. Upon the kids excitement after seeing it I had to tell them that it was broken and couldn't be used because ugh! So gross!!! I think I saw mosquito tadpoles swimming around.
Let's just say I am glad it was just one night in that place but the price was completely overpriced for it.

When we got there it smelled so bad, the first room we had wasn’t clean and smelled like smoke I couldn’t even breathe, the second room we had was stinky as well. We had to pay $25 a night for parking and what I asked was it to secure my care the lady said no. Technically paying for nothing and it was supposed to be free parking. The lady that check us in was flirting with my boyfriend she couldn’t even focus on what to do. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again

When I walked in the lobby had a very strong construction fume smell and there was sawdust on the floor. It made it hard to stand im the lobby even to check in. There were no hazard signs or anything- just a very small paper explaining the construction on the front desk.
Then the room itself was just very old and stingy looking.
We also had to pay $25 for parking when most other places do not make you pay for parking. I did not realize this until upon arrival which was frustrating, but likely on me.

Hard to say when there was too many issues that couldn’t be overlooked during our stays. The breakfast was the best part.
The bedbugs, no working ice machines, staff was rude and no running hot water during our stay. They didn’t let us know when it was going to be fixed. Had to pay for parking, and when notified of these issues they didn’t do anything. Never had to pay for parking for Hampton. And now I have bites In my body due to the bugs.

I absolutely loved this place! Check in is easy, place is clean, everything organized, room was the same I booked, employees very nice and friendly, breakfast was awesome and Wifi easy to access.
Location is really good! Walk distance from target, short distance from Brazilian Consulate and restaurants. I was there with my family for only one night but I wish I could stay longer. It’s a really good place, hard to find those in us!

The carpet could use cleaning but overall the room was fine and what I would expect from any hotel.
I booked a refundable booking, when I changed what I needed, Hampton only gave me $40 for the second night I wasn't going to be able to stay, which is well under any room cost they charge for any room, any time of the year. This told me Hampton isn't actually interested in their guests and I should look elsewhere when staying in that area of Houston.

The water line burst. There was no water in the entire hotel for hours. We were only given 2 bottles of water per person. The toilet over flowed once water finally came back on. AC worked, location was fair, unit was clean, the bed was fine (bring your own pillows), surprisingly we saw no roaches or other critters. Breakfast coffee from the buffet area was drinkable and the food was typical for hotel chains. Noise level wasn't too bad and we slept well.
First impression was appearance; poorly maintained hotel. Second impression we reserved a king room with walk-in shower and were given a tub with water backed up when taking a shower. We were told since we booked through a third party (Booking.com) they couldn't see or know what we reserved. I guess they think we're idiots. They offered a room with 2 double beds and a walk-in shower as the fix. They stated no other options, the parking lot was empty between 5-6 pm when we checked it and the facility seemed to be 30-40% occupied looking at the parking lot the next morning.
Exterior: needs repainting, pool water was milky looking, A ditch was dug under the parking entry sidewalk by the pool with exposed PVC piping and no safety barricade tape or similar warning.
Interior: run down facility, lack of maintenance, only one working ice machine in hotel which was on the first floor by the pool exit. Brown stained ceiling tiles throughout the hotel from plumbing/water or AC leaks.
Room: shower water always ran or dripped due to a bad gasket, the tub drain was clogged with hair.
The Hiltons wouldn't approve of this facility and neither do we, we won't be returning.

The smell was very inviting arriving. Mark at the front desk clerk was so understanding and polite when I first arrived. So much so to where I called down wanted tell him good night. (His shift was ending soon) The person (young lady) that checked me out was the very opposite.
There was a bed bug in the bed and it bit me. I hurried and killed it. Called the front desk and they offered to get me another room on the 3rd floor.
I normally don't stay in places like this because of this reason. The overall stay was just ok. Would I stay here again, no. But book at your own risk in terms of the bed bugs. Everything else was just "ok". Mark, you did an excellent job welcoming me and my family.

The pool was cloudy. My kids felt a shock when they swam by the pool entrance and randomly pulled out the swimming pool light from the water as it was dangling. I made them get out. Our room was hot. The ac did not work and the entire hotel was sold out so there was nothing they could do for us. We called the front desk maybe ten times before the guy finally came up to check the ac. He flipped the switches a few times and said oh it’s because it’s on heater. It wasn’t. I called and bugged for a fan maybe four times before he finally said we could go down and get one. The room never went under 78. It was hot. We were sweating. It was ridiculous. If it wasn’t so late we would’ve just drove the three hours home.

The location, excellent staff, and wonderful breakfast besides a comfortable quiet room made for an excellent stay.
Only that my shower and tub faucet only has hot scalding water. Otherwise it was a great stay!

It was good until we faced situation with manager who is very rude, disrespectful to customer.
Charged for parking I never used. We clearly told the manager we would not park there, yet the charge was added after checkout with no warning.
The manager was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, made us liars, refused to show any proof, and completely refused to communicate. This is not my first stay here, but after this treatment I will never return. Avoid this hotel.
