the location is close enough to downtown that you can be there within 20 minutes but far enough that you dont encounter the issues associated with being there. The parking was easy to access, the hotel is directly next to the highway.
The room initially smelled like someone recently cooked fish in it. The shower would spill into the bathroom tiles and it was clogged with hair.

Super clean big rooms. fair price, just 40-45 minutes to Galveston beach.
My room was next to the highway if you're noise sensitive ask for a room away from highway.

The online pictures is what attracted me to the hotel.
The pillows were flat, the bed is super hard, the window shades were dirty, and our room had quite a few gnats.

*Breakfast was good.
*Shower was nice.
*Reported problems was addressed and resolved. *Friendly and accommodating staff.
*We had a significant issues with our first assigned room. I wont go into detail as the issue was respectfully resolved and new room was assigned.
*The hotels location is complicated as it sits on a one-way street off the highway if you go anywhere you have to make a huge loop 7-10mins out of the way to get back.
*Room/kitchenette was smaller than it appeared in the provided photographs.
*Housekeeping would not service an occupied room. Had to take my trash to them. I requested refills of empty provided toiletriesmy requests were ignored in two languages.

That they started charging you to park your car in the parking lot ??? $8.00 wow come on why are you charging for parking no one could tell me why, we are staying at your hotel its your responsibility not the guest, we pick our hotels not only for good hotels but price as well and then your hit with parking fees.

The room was so nice and clean and it had a whole kitchen inside of it. It was spacious and it had this really cool storage situation in the closet.
I did not like breakfast. There was not enough food and also the selection was slim. They had simple cereals like Honey Nut Cheerios, eggs, sausage, a waffle maker, yogurt, milk, orange and apple juice etc. all of the drinks were sour and old. The food was good but we didnt get to get any meat and we arrived at 730. The food was gone and we had to settle for scraps. We patiently waited for the staff to bring more food but they took forever. So we just left and went down the street to Waffle House.

Great facilities including well equipped kitchen. Clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast.
Be aware that despite Booking.com's claim that parking is free, there is actually an $8 charge per night. When we complained, the hotel said they'd tried to get Booking to change the listing for the past two years, but it still incorrectly advertises free parking.

Breakfast selection itself was not great. Seems to be some corners cut on the spread.
I didn't like that my room wasn't efficiently cleaned, there was a used cigarette bud on the floor once I arrived, and the usually hair in the sink. I let front desk know, he said he would credit it to my room and never did. Had doordash delivered here and never received my food. At the end of my stay, I notified them again at checkout and he was "out on lunch", so she took my number and said he would call me and didn't.

Check in check out clerks we're very helpful and friendly.
The hotel was extremely noisey due to road noise. Heard trucks almost constantly. Cheap windows? Poor construction? Also my wife dropped a sugar pack on the floor at the breakfast buffet and an employee picked it up and put it back. GROSS!
