Did a manual check out as systems were down. I need up getting charged for a things that I didnt use I.e parking fees. Overall the amount of taxes that get added are extortionate so consider them when choosing this hotel.
Bar doesnt open until 4pm.

Charged a large security deposit at check in which we werent aware of at booking. Everyday after the cleaner had been in we found long black hairs in the bathroom, we reported this to reception but it continued to happen. Quite pricey, breakfast shouldve been included for the price I paid

The bathroom toilet kept making really loud noises. The room itself could use some more design elements and a bathtub. The pool chairs need to be updated and pool service/drinks.

Cleanliness was definitely a concern, the desk chair was filthy and so were the sheets. Also I was promised a city view instead when I looked out my window I was face to face with the patrons at the pool…

Jane Q had really good iced coffee. Beds were really comfortable too
The rooms were dusty, even after they came to clean twice in one day. There were weird stains on the carpets and sofas. Room just felt dirty, idk how to explain it. The pools were always full with people or parties, and it just didnt feel like a good hotel to go to rest after a long day of working / being out. Staff doesnt really help you with anything (was struggling with 3 suitcases while staff just watched, both when I checked in and out. Staff put me on 10 minute hold when I called down to concierge. Staff didnt send anyone to clean my room when I requested it.

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of our room, great shower, lighting and comfortable bed. Also, Chris, one of the front desk agents gave us a good suggesion for Chinese food from China Lites, and the other 2 agents (can't remember their names) were also friendly and helpful when we needed to get some change for a large bill. Additionally, although we only got to take advantage of it 1 time, it was really nice to have that Happy Hour cocktail and a large space in which to relax by the bar. Lastly, we enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant downstairs and also at Clark's Diner a short distance away on Franklin St. The last time we stayed at the Everly Kimpton, it was nearly 3 years ago, and I think it was even better this time. Thank you.
I didn't like that the fitness facility was so dark and that there wasn't much space to stretch. I appreciate that the hotel provided mats and a foam roller, but there just wasn't a lot of room to use it without being in someone's way who was also using the gym at the same time.

In rooms facing the Hollywood sign, traffic is loudly heard which disturbed my sleep even though we stayed in the 14th floor.
Upon checkout, they tried to charge us for room service which we didnt use. I advice to check carefully.

2. We checked our luggage after checking out and my Rimowa was broken when it was handed back to me. The key pad fell off...
3. Boyfriend wants to surprise me with flowers in the room for our 5th year Annie. He called both hotel and floral shop in advance for giving instructions and specifically asked hotel to deliver the flower in the room. But hotel called and ruined the surprise because he had to answer the call. Wasn’t very thoughtful.

Cleanliness - room had hair on our towels, hair in the bed. The drain in the sink was broken.
No coffee in room.
Drinks at bar not good and over priced, slow service.
Did not get the advertised free welcome drink that is listed as part of amenities.
Pool advertised as heated but felt pretty cold, not much space.
Strange service for lunch on 5th floor. Felt disorganized and random.

Location for easy Uber/lyft pick ups, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant was great and we used it several times, and the soaking tub was a treat.

Easy check in - clean and comfortable. Smart hotel for business travellers with a large reception/bar area. The food quality at the restaurant/cafe was top notch.
The pool area seemed constantly in use by promo events. When I wanted to have a relax outside by the pool area it was near impossible.

The room itself was big and very comfortable. Early check in was a bonus, and the quiet and relaxed pool was a great find.
The location wasn’t ideal as it’s a bit removed from the main attractions and didn’t feel comfortable walking around as it felt a bit dodgy. If you are in a bigger group it would be fine but for solo travel not ideal. The restaurant on site was also a let down for dinner - spend your money somewhere else.

We went to Los Angeles as a group of 12 people. Since September 9, the hotel has not returned my deposit for 4 rooms. It has also stopped responding to messages. What is important in this story is that we returned the rooms in good order, settling all payments. The hotel is nice, but the staff needs to be replaced.
