it is really nice looking property, in a clean and quite neighborhood of LA. it is located close to 405, very convenient to drive around. it is well styled, you feel very comfortable and relaxed, like home. the stuff is very friendly and helpful.
We moved here a day early because our previous hotel had a massive roof leak. Plaza la Reina were so helpful and enabled us to come early. We could check the room before agreeing to stay there and it was clean, quiet and well serviced. Great location for Westwood too with easy walk to UCLA. Staff were so helpful and pleasant.
There wasnt much we didn't like - it was a lovely light room and good street view. Im not sure what access would be like if you didnt have a car/taxi but was quite near major roads.

I loved this hotel. we got a one bedroom suite and it is huge! Its the size of a full apartment. The furnishings are very nice, warm and inviting. cool building and in a perfect location for sight seeing. the concierge was SO nice, we were blown away by his amazing service, warmth and hospitality. he was by far the most accomodating hotel staff we came across in our 4 week journey. the beds were super comfy and we were thrilled to have a washing machine/ dryer in the room. outstanding all round!!

The kitchen is great to have but theres a lack of a few necessities like a good useable knife, a cutting board, and a toaster.
VERY low lighting makes reading nearly impossible. Romantic perhaps but not useful! Towels are soft but not at all absorbent..

Troy is an absolute delight. He is always so welcoming and friendly. Knows us by name as we have stayed there several times due to my appointments at UCLA Medical Center. He is so accommodating to our needs.

the location
lack of service, inconsistence of communication, very poor front desk staff (teresa) we were being locked out a few times, she asked us to wait then took off for half hour, after she came back without any apologies she started to give us a lecture about she was by herself and there were people ahead of us ( which we didn't see anyone in the lobby) and she would only work with us if we agreed to say that the other guy worked there is responsible of mixing up our room. Despite we paid the whole amount upfront, we were downgraded since the room we booked wasn't available. The room wasn't serviced and we were told the service is upon request, the coffee machine didn't work and we can't stop coughing after we moved into that hotel. also we had to put the duvet cover on ourselves since they forgot to put it on after clean the room. It was a nice location we would really want to like the hotel, however with that kind of service and attitude, I suspect anyone would like to return.

The location was great as I was visiting my daughter who is at UCLA. Lots of restaurants nearby, and other convenience stores also. This more than made up for the hotel not having its own restaurant or room service. The room was large a separate living area with cooking facilities which came in handy also. Cleanliness appears to be a major focus area as Martina who serviced my room did her work thoroughly. I had a room that opened into a pretty courtyard. All the staff I met were friendly, attentive, courteous and keen to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. Albert was a stand-out at reception and very supportive. A hidden gem of a hotel!!! I would highly recommend for solo, couples and family visits!!!

Location was great, we were working at UCLA and could not find a better location
Leaving aside that the couch mattress was a nightmare to sleep, this could have been a pass and my review could have been just ok / fine. However, what I never experienced is that a business, particularly a hotel, ghosts a past host by no answering an e-mail, booking.com chat, or even call JUST to claim the invoice for my stay. I don't even know if this is legal, but truth is that I left the property with the concierge stating to me: "in a few minutes you'll receive your invoice via e-mail" and it has been more than 2 weeks and several e-mail communications and a single reply to one of them stating "Working on it". I need this invoice to claim expenses back to my company and I don't know exactly what the management of this business is doing, no customer care at all to just devote less than five minutes to send me an invoice? Unbelievable.

Nice decor and vibe. Very good location
Service was sometimes not the best. There was no soap in the rooms and only one set of towels even though the room was booked for three. The sofa bed was not made and when i asked if they could have it done while we were out when we got back it had not been done. So we were given sheets and had to do it ourselves

The room cleaning wasnt good at all there was dust everywhere we opened a drawer in one of the rooms and found leftover food from previous guests.the sofa bed was soo bad and the sofa it self was old .both phones in our rooms werent working and they said the engineer doesnt work on weekends ,so we had to go down when ever we need towels or anything and we actually ask for it multiple times then we get it ,we asked the front desk personally for a hair dryer because it was missing from one of the rooms and we got ignored we had to go to the cleaning staff and ask them .
We used to like this place but we were shocked this time and unfortunately we are not coming back .

The staff was really nice and tried to remediate the problem we had with the bed. They ended up giving a discount to apologize for the discomfort. The kitchen was well-equipped and the refrigerator was nice to have. Conveniently located near a Trader Joes and Target.
The sofa bed was incredibly dirty, stained and uncomfortable. It did not come with any sheets, bedding or pillow. We asked several times but the daytime housestaff did not bring any of the bedding or pillows even though we paid extra accommodation fees for 3 persons. The only help we got was from the night staff who was able to find some sheets for us. No one came in to clean our rooms or make our beds during our stay.

Great location, spacious and comfortable room, the general ambience felt homely. Absolutely gorgeous building.
One of the front desk employees had a serious attitude issue, she wouldnt greet us, and when we afsked for a service it was as if we had insulted her - we avoided going by the front desk after that.
Beds were on the soft side.

There were plenty of restaurants nearby to get meals.
I booked two rooms that should have been the same, one for my adult son and one for my husband and me. Upon checkin, we were told that my husband & I got an upgrade. We went to my son's room first, a magnificent, spacious room right off the plaza with a king-size bed. We then went to the "upgrade," which appeared to be smaller in square footage and had only a queen-sized bed--so, they gave one person a king-size bed and two people a queen-size bed. It had a little balcony, but the doors to it would not latch. We returned to the front desk where the man there told us they were sold out so probably couldn't give us a different room. His colleague, however, said she had another room available with a king-size bed. Yes, it did, but it was the smallest of the three rooms we saw, not off the patio but down a hallway, and the view from the room was the side of another building and two dumpsters. The sink was also not cleaned properly. I was not happy at all with either the "upgrade" or the final room. Considering we paid the same amount for both rooms, we really got the shaft on the room for my husband and me.

Convenient location, super super friendly staff. The hotel was very nice and the room was very comfortable. A beautiful Spanish style building with roof terrace. Spacious room, very clean.
Good cleaning! We get to choose how often we'd like the room cleaned.
Location is great. We are here to move our daughter to UCLA. The hotel is perfectly close to the school and the stores such as Target and Trader Joe's. Many restaurants in walking distance.
Extremely friendly staff. They greet warmly every time we pass the reception. They carry up my Amazon packages to my room.
Air-con is set to perfect temperature. Water pressure on fifth-floor very good. Functional pantry with dishwasher and microwave oven.
WIFI is very strong in the room.
Note: not all rooms equipped with a washer, check before booking if that's important for your stay. I'd give a 10 instead of 9 if there were a washer in our room. But the staff let me borrow washer in a vacant apartment which is very kind.
