The hotel itself is nice. The rooftop was lovely. The room although a little small was suitable. However, I had nowhere to put my suitcase or actually a decent place for my clothes. Especially for the price of the rooms.

My flight was cancelled, and I needed to extend my room. It was a frustrating situation which was only further exacerbated by the unprofessionalism of the reception person who was not at all accommodating, in fact completely uninterested and frankly quite rude. Ultimately, she didn't do the extension although my understanding was that it had been done. Completely unacceptable. Luckly, I followed my instinct and re-checked with the afternoon reception person who then made the new reservation. I was already stressed about my cancelled flight, and she certainly added more stress, with her lack of competence, professionalism and enthusiasm to provide customer service support to an expected standard of care. It was definitely disappointing. The person who finally corrected the issue, was more accommodating.

The parking will set you back $70 US per night with no self parking options, you need to read your receipt and itemise it as I was over charged $300 US and the staff at the front desk weren’t helpful, were extremely rude and thought they were above everyone. They also closed the pool early for events without notifying you earlier, loud hotel.

This is basically a hotel used by event & party companies. There is a constant flow of people from outside the hotel using the facilities making it noisy and also treating guests in a substandard manner. The last night of my stay I wanted to relax by the pool, have drink and watch the sunset. Sadly there was a private party with booming music and porn stars. I was told it was a private party so I could use the bar area but my choice of drinks was limited. Made to feel most unwelcome. They have the cheap to charge an amenities fee for use of the gym & pool but the pool area is a party area for outside usage not the guests. Makes me wonder why I had to pay the fee?

The staff was some of the most helpful staff that I have encountered during my trip to the US. We asked for a room with a view to the Hollywood sign, and they gave it to us :) The staff gave us 10$ discount coupons, to be used at their bar/restaurant, which was very nice from the hotel. Our deposit was returned very fast, which I always appreciate. The room was very nice and modern, although bit small. The area around the hotel felt very safe.

Like many others, we parked in the adjacent parking lot in Cahuenga Blvd for half the price of the hotel parking. The 40$ daily fee for the pool and gym feels predatory. Let the guests decide if they want to use and pay for these services.

The room and location were great

The motion sensor light in the room was annoying every time you moved it would light up so made for uncomfortable sleeping. Very annoying don’t understand why it’s in a bedroom directly above where you sleep. Rooftop bar and pool is only for adult pretty disappointing kids can’t use the pool what the point of families staying at the Godfrey, my kids were upset they couldn’t use the pool, wasn’t advised of this at the time of booking.

Nice views from rooftop pool,.

We had a freezing cold shower for 4 days, after advising reception a number of times it was finally fixed. Staff are not very friendly or helpful except the cleaners who are lovely. Pay a high fee daily for pool and gym however you can't really use the pool after being out all day as many private functions on. If you need a good night's sleep don't bank on it as many loud functions on rooftop until 1am. On the last day we ordered breakfast to take away, my waffles had a very long knotted hair in it, couldn't eat it after that and not worth advising. Tried to negotiate a slightly later complimentary check out in lieu of cold shower for 4 days and was given 2 hours, or pay $150 for the 4 hours. I would never stay here again.

I only liked the location of the hotel — it’s very convenient to reach all the popular spots. Hollywood Walk of Fame is a 21-minute walk or a 6-minute drive. Other aspects of the hotel did not stand out.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. A major downside is the staff — nobody at the reception was friendly, and no one greeted us at any time. The room was catastrophically small. The room we got was not as shown in the photos and had a different view, even though I paid extra for a window view. The king-size bed, as advertised, was actually smaller. The towels were in poor condition, dirty and stiff, and there was only one bathrobe for two adults. The bathroom light bulb was burnt out, and nobody replaced it. The windows were dirty, which ruined the enjoyment of the view. Breakfast downstairs was unappetizing. Would we stay here again? No. Would I recommend this hotel? No.

The location is awesome. The bed was very comfortable. They gave us a handicap room as one of us is in a wheelchair and it was great and had a large bathroom that was easy to maneuver. Breakfast was wonderful, great coffee and it was a full breakfast buffet.

The rooms were smaller than I anticipated, but nonetheless, it was still a great stay in a great space. Also is a little on the expensive side, but at the end of the day, I think worth it.

It’s location is a plus being situated in cleaner and safer areas. Also, walkable spots nearby. The housekeeping was super nice and helpful.

Make sure to ask them before if they have any event planned and avoid weekend(Friday Inc). They have a rooftop bar where they play super loud music until 2 am and if you are after a good night sleep or have kids, I will highly recommend to stay away from this places.

Parking was $63 valet and you HAD to get it. Plus I ordered a Birthday dessert for the birthday girl that NEVER came The pool closed at 7pm and I read it closed at 11pm . The room was really small. Everyday the reception was completely full of people outside from the hotel and it was so loud, it was hard to get in. On the second night something in our room was “beeping”. We told the reception and someone came to change the battery of the fire alarm, after a long time of waiting. On the next day when we went to the room that sound was there again. We called the reception and we were told that there was no one at the hotel to see it. We slept all night with that beep sound. It was terrible. In addition, the people from the reception and the restaurant were not that nice, just answering what they need to answer and that’s it.
