It did echo fairly loud if you were walking down the hall or in the courtyard. As long as guests were considerate it wasn't a problem.

The hotel looked like the photos, was in a great location and the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were big and the beds were comfortable.
The hotel seems a little tired and needs a little bit of tlc in some areas. One room was clean and smelt lovely however the other smelt fusty and our clothes damp to the touch. Bed sheets and towel had holes in them. Lovely stay but shame about the awful smell that is still lingering on our luggage.

Very cramped, evening duty receptionist charged us for two cars parking without checking (we booked two rooms, two couples traveling together, but she could have asked, fortunately the morning receptionist, Elaine, who is incredibly helpful noticed and reversed the extra charge).

The location of the hotel was fantastic. We have stayed here in the past but evidently it was under different ownership then, and you can really tell the difference now. It feels more basic and does not have the French quarter boutique hotel feel anymore. Not to mention the missing things you'd expect from a nicer hotel.
We paid a hefty price for our room, which would have been fine if It had been a normal room($529 Mardi Gras weekend surge pricing?didnt expect price gouging though) once we got there it was a small interior room with no windows, no chair in the room to sit on for putting on shoes etc, no mirror at all in the room and the bathroom had a high hung small mirror above the pedestal vanity so you only saw yourself from the chest up. We booked the room for one night to attend a Mardi Gras Ball and THANK GOD I had my make up and hair done before checking into our room because it would have been hell trying to get ready in this tiny dark room with no mirror or decent lighting. The tv did not work either. No overhead light in the bedroom, it was out. luckily we brought a bluetooth speaker and played our own music and just tried to roll with it. Ultimately, with Tax we spent $622 on ONE NIGHT in this room that never should have cost this much, even during Mardi Gras surge pricing. Its criminal!

We had a great stay at the hotel. The room was beautiful and very spacious, with a large TV and access to a lovely long shared balcony. The bathroom was a decent size with a good shower, and everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The pool area was particularly nice, set in a beautiful courtyard that made it a relaxing place to spend some time. The location was also perfect, with many of the main attractions within a short walk, including Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, Café du Monde, Jackson Square, Louis Armstrong Park, and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
The only minor downside, which is not a reflection of the staff or the hotel itself, is that if you have a room with a balcony you may hear some noise from the street below. This is simply due to the hotel being located in the heart of the French Quarter. It didn’t detract from our stay and certainly wouldn’t put us off staying here again.

The management and staff are very concerned about their guests' comfort and security. The location is great. It is near the tourist information center where guests can purchase excursions and get information. It has a small outdoor pool and courtyard. Very nice place and good value for your money.
The lighting in the room could have been a little better, but it wasn't terrible.

Incredible location in the quiet part of French quarter. Just blocks from Frenchman street and Jackson Square. Hard to beat. Quiet hotel with a relaxed courtyard.
Everything was fine. Bathroom sink is a bit small. Closet small. But clean and adequate. Wish there was a bar for a drink in the patio!

Perfect location for all things on FQ! Quaint, historic buildings. Clean. On the quieter side of town. Comfortable bed (not bedding) lovely pool
-Noise from staff every day at 7:30am!
-No mirror in the room! Not only no full size but no mirror at all
-blankets and towels are paper thin and rough
-Closet in bathroom only and weird motion sensor fan does nothing.
-low shower pressure
-tilted sink so everything falls in
-No black out shades on door. Light shines through all night and sun early am.
-No umbrellas by pool
-people out late in courtyard are very noisy and smoke. No one’s supervises.

They allowed us to have a late checkout (extra 1.5 hours), since OUR wedding ceremony got pushed back 2 hours due to the rain. Other than that, nothing.
Small rooms, no refrigerator, had to wait on repair man to fix tv, ice maker worked half the time, floors are very slick, & dealt with 2 women at the desk; 1 was cheesy & talkative and the other was very monotoned & act liked she didn't want to be there.

The balcony room with street view. The staff is a nice and helpful. Very walkable to main tourist area and feel safe to walk alone at the night, and quiet location, even the street side of balcony room. The regular room had a desk and chair and a little more extra space than my balcony room. The air conditioner is truly fantastic, I can able to change the temperature easily to setting not too cold ? many hotel doesn’t have like this ( Auto, Heat,Cool, Drying, Fan) I wish all Hotels had this. The Bathroom is updated, a good water pressure and very clean. I believe the rooms also updated too. I really enjoy to staying this hotel for 4 nights. I’m so sure, I’ll return to stay The Chateau Hotel again, thank you your hospitality like NOLA.
I wish had a mini refrigerator.

The charm of old new Orleans with a historic looking courtyard.
Half of the furniture surrounding the pool area was broken.
There was no way to black out the outside lights surrounding the courtyard from coming into our room. All night the motion sensor light near the swimming pool kept turning on and off. Horrible.

Jennifer at the front desk was AWESOME! She was friendly, thoughtful, and thorough. The bed was so comfortable.
The view from our balcony was the the middle of a tan 4 story cinderblock building across the street, so if you're looking for "the view," room 222 isn't it. There was no greenery, or decor on our balcony. Just 2 lame outdoor chairs and a small, dirty table. That was very disappointing. The worst part of our stay was the guy working the night desk. I accidentally left a bottle of meds in my car, which I discoverd was locked behind their gate by the time we returned from our spooky bus tour. I went in and asked if I could retrieve my Advil from the car, and the guy behind the desk was so angry at having to go out and unlock the gate for me. I asked if he happened to have any bottled water, and when we got back inside the lobby, he grabbed the bottle and when I held my hand out he dropped it onto the floor. He had enough of an attitude that I knew it wasn't an accident. The exact opposite of the lovely welcome we had earlier in the day from Jennifer.

No mini refrigerator, room nightstands was very dusty. I had my own cleaning supplies to clean before getting comfortable. If room is by pool you can hear everything.
