The pool is fantastic! Clean, always towels and place to relax, the water was cold too which was very refreshing. - not for small kids, the pool is about 4 feet deepnto 6.5 ish- small children would need a life jacket to be safe. But as an adult - loved it!

Our room was close to pool and parking which was a huge perk, however the room was nice it lacked small detail to attention. For example, shower curtain was hung too high, so water leaked all over floor, the tissue/kleenex in the bathroom was empty, no dresser for clothes- only a closet to hang so you lived out of suitcases on the floor or a suitcase rack stand. No blankets on bed, only had two thin sheets, so I used the blanket in the closet (the extra one they always have in closets with extra pillow) the next day, the housekeeping service came - half made the beds and refreshed towels, did not take out trash so final day it was over flowing and on top of it, they took my blanket from the bed, so I had to only sleep with 2 thin top sheets that night. We were coming down for a birthday celebration, I reached out to hotel to see if they had any type of welcome/birthday celebratory for the room to suprise my sister (I would have even paid, didnt ask for free- some places offer these) and they said " we got you, can't wait for your arrival" but nothing- which was disappointing but not end of the world . The mini fridge is just sitting on the floor, and there is a small table which had the ice bucket and I believe coffee materials - so it was small and not usable. No water in fridge, we asked if they had water, they gave us two bottles and politely told us there is a store in the quarters that sold water. There is no vending machine at the hotel so you need to go shop for water and bring to your room. Parking was really nice. Room when we arrived was clean and spacious. Location is close to the farmers market area and a easy walk to places in the quarter and to Frenchman area. But its not as busy at night and there is homeless people, being in a quieter area at night could be scary walking alone.

It is an old building, but I thought it was great for what it is. It's close to one of the haunted tour stops. Nice little pool area. I went off-season, so I don't know how packed the pool gets. I saw 2 couples at the pool while I was there.
Parking. There is a nightly charge that i wasn't super excited about, but considering the parking availability in that area, I really can't complain too much.

The staff was always friendly I dealt with four people during my stay there and all of them were hospitable. The location was amazing because we wanted to be further down on Bourbon and out of the way of all the hustle and bustle while still having that experience. As soon as we stepped off the elevator onto the third floor, I remember me saying wow it smells clean here and the room was and exceptionally clean.
I didn’t like that. It was a smoke-free property. They had no smoking areas as well as similar hotels. I’ve stayed at in New Orleans allowed you to smoke on the balcony and supplied an ashtray as a smoker. I didn’t like feeling like I didn’t have the ability to do that I understand other people’s concerning not wanting to be around it, but it made me spend a lot more time outside of the hotel just wondering around then I would have liked to.

We felt that the employees lacked warmth and hospitality. Front desk clerks were almost robotic and were not friendly. They almost acted as if we were bothering them with our questions. They had no maps of the city for us to use. Smoking was not permitted on the property, however, there was a lady smoking a cigar in her balcony. We will not stay again.

The location was great!
I paid for a king room with a balcony. My balcony overlooked the parking lot. The pictures the hotel had posted were all of the rooms in the front of the hotel and not the ones with a "private" balcony. I would not have paid for the upgrade if I had known, I would be overlooking the parking lot.
In the bathroom, the ceiling was leaking water, which they cleaned up and fixed.
The digital locks did not work more than a couple of times, I had to have the front desk bring up a key fob so I could get into the room.
The furniture in the room was all mismatched and clashed with "upgrades" they were trying to do on the hotel.
The walls are very thin and I could hear FULL conversations in the room next to mine.

The property itself is charming and in a great location. The staff keeps it pretty clean, and it’s in a safe area. Elevators are fast, which you don’t realize is a perk until you’ve been in a place with slow ones.
Everything upholstered needs a serious cleaning, it’s honestly pretty gross. I booked a king suite and Booking said it would have a pool view balcony. It did not. I had a parking lot view for $1,500 for four nights and I feel scammed. The suite was clearly an apartment before, but they ripped out the kitchen and replaced it with a mini fridge on the floor in the corner and weird, mismatched table and chairs. The space felt super barren and the bedroom reminded me of a prison cell, no textiles, nothing on the walls, stark, white paint. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were in the TINIEST, one ounce containers. Yes, I was able to go down to the desk and get more, but there was barely enough for one shower in each. The bar was never open, as far as I saw. No continental breakfast, which all the hotels blame on Covid. We’re not in a pandemic anymore, guys, we can have continental breakfasts and buffets again. They’re just being cheap. NOLA is expensive enough!

The location of the hotel can be a drag as well, none of my tour providers knew how to get to it and i had to walk to other points in town to get picked up. Its also the farthest it can be in that quarter from the tram cars (not including the one that goes by the river relevant to specific attractions). I ended up walking a lot in the heat.
The room I got was an adjoined room with a whole family on the other side of it, and it noisy at times - one time very early in the morning. Make sure you ask for a non-adjoined room if they have it.

I loved the aesthetic of the hotel. It was beautiful. We had a king room with the shared balcony, which didn't bother us. My husband and I sat outside at night and it was peaceful. We could hear the faint noise of bourbon street, as well as a jazz band somewhere over by the French market area. It was great. The hotel was well kept. Our room stayed cold, the bed was comfy and the shower was spacious. Check in was a breeze. The lady at the front desk was so sweet. She said she's been working there for just about 13 years or so, and told us about some of the celebrities that have come and gone before. They have a cute bar with a seating area with pictures of famous people who have been to the hotel. Beautiful seating in the main lobby with beautiful fixtures, chandeliers and paintings. We definitely will be staying here again! ❤️

I had to check out an hour after arrival due to cleanliness not being up to my standards. The building is old, furniture is antique, therefore, felt dusty. I have severe allergies and need a place dust free and pet free. I’m still waiting for my refund from Booking.com, the hotel charged me one night, but Booking charged the entire stay. The location was perfect for hanging out on and off Frenchmen and an easy walk/cheap rideshare to the Bywater. It was also close enough to the cool shops on Decatur, Jackson Square, and the French Quarter. I walked everywhere, and when I got tired of walking, I hailed a pedicab. As a solo traveler I felt perfectly safe within and around this property
I was somewhat disappointed with the cleanliness upon arrival, especially considering the price. There was a small child’s sock left in the room, the mini-fridge was loudly on its last leg, and no one went over amenities at check-in. I’ve definitely had worse stays, but I expected more at this price point. The walls are also very thin—you can hear everything, from hallway conversations to your neighbor getting sick in the middle of the night, so definitely pack earbuds.

Location, location, location
Hot water was extremely lacking. We couldn’t even take a shower. It barely got even perceived as warm and the shower tile had a lot of lime. I’m hoping it was lime.

my son got scammed and coerced to pay money on Bourbon Street just 2 minutes from hotel...did not feel safe after that in New Orleans. Will not be returning...very little police presence over a busy holiday...not a great look for a tourist city, especially when there are many other safe options for tourist.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great location to everything that Fab. Marigny area has to offer and not that far to get to Bourbon St madness.
I was disappointed with internet service and tv service. Wifi was in and out my whole stay. The tv remote was difficult to figure out, could only find 1 national station CBS.

Location was awesome! Just far away enough from the bars and party areas to have a nice quiet night once we got back from some drinks and dinner. Very professional staff! Would recommend to stay here and will stay here again.

Marisol and her staff were very accommodating. Service was outstanding. It is an older property, but it is well taken care of and clean. Location couldn't have been better. 3 minute walk to everything in the east side of French Quarter, and no farther to Marigny.
only complaint would be shower. Took forever to get hot water, and water pressure was lacking. Refrigerators were inconsistent from room to room, but our unit worked very well.

Room off the pool, very nice but everytime I opened the shade on the window people crane their necks to look in. So that kept the room from having nice natural light. Maybe another opaque shade in addition would help Otherwise very nice! Wish the bar had been open...

The hotel is located in a very quiet area of the French Quarter. The room was very spacious. The hotel staff was very attentive to the guest. I like that the staff immediately moved us quickly to another balcony room on the second floor when it rain in our balcony room 302. I liked that the room 302 has 2 balconies( this would be a perfect room when there is no rain in the forecast). I like the gated parking. I like that the hotel offer free bottle of water and morning coffee.
It rained in our room 302. The rain came in through the bathroom window and from the front balcony.

The location was perfect, I have no complaints about that. However I suggest you don’t even bother with the paperwork until you get there because you’ll have to do it all again at check in regardless so I wasn’t too pleased with that since we were very tired getting there. Then the 45$ per night parking isn’t really optional because we were told street parking was for residents so be ready for that. The place was very clean, old and beautiful. The balcony was a little small and precarious but yes it was technically a balcony overlooking the parking lot… There is a safe and a mini fridge in there no microwave. Oh, and don’t expect to sleep in unless you are a deep sleeper because about daybreak until 9 people are slamming doors and throwing things around, not sure what was going on but that was my experience. You can definitely hear everything from the room across from you and the hallways. Room service does come in and clean while you are out during the day. Everything else was great though and check out was easy. Close to a ton of food places and cool shops. Not bad for a short stay.

We had an outstanding stay at the property. The staff is incredible! We are planning another trip and intend to stay at Le Richelieu.

Location was amazing (end of French Quater/ beginning of Frenchmen street). Rebecca (front desk) was so kind and exactly the type of person you hope for when traveling to New Orleans. She gave us real southern hospitality and kindness! Bed was very comfortable and waters were always available at the front desk. Keep in mind, this is an older city and the hotel represents that in the best ways. It’s modern and upgraded but if you’re someone with a lot of expectations and needs room service, go to a chain hotel. If you want an authentic experience, stay here! We will be back!

I loved the location. It's in a quieter part of the french quarter so if you aren't there to party or you have kids it's perfect.
It's older and could use some upgrades, such as the elevator is creaky. There is a bar but it was never open. Beds aren't very comfortable. I liked the digital key but it is was very slow and sometimes our phones didn't connect.

Great hotel and perfectly matched my expectations. The hotel is quite close to the main areas for bars, restaurants, etc. with a 10-15 minute walk depending on where you are going. Easy check-in and lovely staff. I would stay here again.

The property is in a prime location, walking distance to Frenchman St for live music and tons of great food.
If you want a place to lay your head, this is a great hotel in a great location. If you want any amenities with your stay, perhaps this isn’t the place for you. This isn’t a knock, it’s a very old building.

The location was great for Mardi Gras. It was close to all the live music bars we wanted to go to and close enough to Canal street to watch the parades. It was the perfect location for going to Bourbon St because it was nearby but located in a much quieter part of the neighborhood.
In the mornings people were very loud in the halls with a lot of talking and banging doors. The hall has hardwood floors which are also very loud.

Even though the hotel was old, they went out of their way to allow access through the parking lot For my electric scooter and placed us in a room close to the rear.
Not that they had any control over it. But a lot of the doors being that the buildings are old are offen.
