The curly blond lady at check in was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I think that's the most important aspect of a hotel room. The lobby lounge is pretty nice.

This is not a luxury hotel by any means. It's basic but fine for a work trip. Since I had a corner room with large windows, I expected there to be some sort of street view, based on the photos. Not the case. The gym is small and basic but did the trick. I had drinks with my friends in the lounge and the bartender offered us free beer. We happily accepted but when we took a sip, it tasted like straight up water! We looked at the date and they were expired. We were wondering if we were drugged. Thankfully we were all fine but it was just weird.

Great location and views of Bryant Park. Easy access to our room. Didn’t have to wait long for the lift during our 11 day stay.

There was scaffolding outside the hotel. Doormen not available when we arrived so had to organise bringing our own luggage from the street.

Great location in mid town Manhattan. Hotel was clean & comfortable.

No cold water! Once you had run the hot tap, both taps were hot… obviously the pipes are too close. It’s just not that nice brushing your teeth in very hot water.

Quiet, clean, big room especially for nyc…perfect location. I can’t say enough about how nice the staff were. Just so very friendly and accommodating. It was my wife’s birthday and they made it special. It meant the world to her and me. They get all the stars!

Nothing… it was fantastic.

This is for sure my very favorite hotel in NYC. Besides being in the charming Bryant Park, its location is strategic in its mid-town place. Rooms were totally renovated (I was a guest 2 years ago and can testify). It's view of the park is breathtaking and the decoraction and facilities are not only high-level. They are tasty and classy (for those who understand what it means, og course). The staff is not only correct. It is really interested in their guest's well being. Jo(sephine) is the perfect front desk person and could be working at the Ritz ou Le Meurice in Paris. Ammenities and small gifts (Neuhaus's chocolates and Angelina's macarons) are top, especially for a 4-star hotel.

The building is on renovation, what was not a problem for me because I stayed out most of the day (working). The shower does not have a good pressure, but it was compensated by the duche and the (separate) nice tube. And, yes, it is a little overpriced for a 4-star hotel.

Perfect location across street from Bryant Park, close to New York Public Library, easy walk to Grand Central Terminal and theater district. Enjoyed Celon, the hotel bar. Large, comfortable room and bathroom. The staff was very kind and helpful before and during stay.

The view of scaffolding, but understand it’s needed at this time of stay. It is more expensive than a standard hotel, but worth it.

The welcome and check in team were polite and friendly. Nothing was an issue for them. They were happy to hold out bags (as we arrived before check in) while we explored the local neighbourhood. The room was small(ish) but very well appointed. It was clean and for once this is a hotel that actually had a well stocked mini bar. The room was clean and bright. The bathroom was large and modern. The towels were thick and luxurious. The toiletries (Molton Brown) were very nice.

It would be nice to have a coffee machine and tea making facilities in the room. Other then that there is not a lot to add on the negative side.

Clean and good-sized room. Easy access to lots of cafes, restaurants, etc. Nice Japanese restaurant on the ground floor.

Very noisy room - no sound proofing onto Bryant Park, vehicles and work start very early (3am) in the morning. Well beyond the normal sirens and horns of NYC. Entrance is dark and unwelcoming on arrival, but its OK once you realise the place is open.
