It had a lovely reception and was decorated nicely, you could tell it was an old building. It was in a good location close to shops, bars and cafes, and train station.
It was a bit tired in parts, the bathrooms weren’t great, the extractor was noisy, the heating was very noisy in some rooms too. The walls were paper thin you could hear people quite clearly in the next room.

The location was very good, fit what we were looking to do and see in New York over Christmas. Has a good style.
Room is a bit narrow when navigating around the beds, and the bathroom was a little small, but I believe this is the norm in NY.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very small room, clean, excellent location. No elevator as it is a historic building. We didn’t have breakfast. Tea and coffee in the cozy sitting area.

Sohotel is located perfectly at the edge of Soho and Little Italy - perfect location, walking distance from groceries, pubs, coffees, laundries, subway, etc. Also, no need to look for subway instantly - 60 mins of easy walk to the Empire State Building, lower Mannhattan, 20 mins to the East River piers or Brooklyn Bridge.
The hotel lobby was always perfectly conditioned, calm and nice vibes, the family room was just fine for 4 adts and two kids.
Very nice and helpful staff - we stored a stroller every day, booked an airport transfer via hotel - no issues at all.
I would appreciate a lobby coffee in the afternoon, not just morning. Also, a possibility to buy a beer (either vending or from a bar) would be good.

Beautiful boutique quaint historic hotel.2nd stay at this hotel absolutely adorable. Highly recommend. Close to subways, busses, shopping and restaurants. Safe area. Uber within minutes.
Although staff are so helpful and attentive there is no lift. Didn't mind the stairs as I was on the 4th floor it was same height as my house. Just luggage can be hard.No water had to buy from vending machine or outside.

The reception at the hotel was wonderful. We stayed at a few hotels during our visit to New York and our reception at this hotel was the best of the lot. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Although we saw pictures of the hotel on the website prior to our visit, seeing the tasteful and interesting decor in person was still a big surprise! Staff were friendly and warm throughout our stay.
If a coffee or tea facility can be made available in each room (instead of centrally at the reception in the morning) it will definitely be an enhancement for the hotel.

Walls are paper thin. Person in the room next to me had a cough and it was like they were in bed with me. Really not acceptable. Bathroom was very tired, though absolutely functional.

Great location with access to the best of Soho. Great value for what NYC hotels usually cost, but the rooms and bathrooms are small. The bathroom is actually tiny. Still, I enjoyed my stay. I read a lot of reviews about how lous it was, but I did not have that problem.

friendly staff, room was always clean when we came back from a long day of exploring. excellent location for shopping and close proximity to subways like the J, Z, D, B, etc.
no elevator so it's inconvenient for travelers with lots of stuff. but staff can help you with carrying your luggage to the reception desk which was on the second floor. room and bathroom were smaller than depicted on the hotel's site but that's kind of the norm in nyc so whatever

In a brilliant location-very close to Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho , Greenwich, Brooklyn Bridge and underground stations. Great not being in the chaos of Midtown! Loved the cosy and comfortable decor . Friendly and helpful staff. Help yourself to Tea and coffee in the morning was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again if returning to NY

The location was great & the staff was super friendly & accomodating. The vibe of Sohotel was exactly what we were looking for and it’s decorated so cute.
The lighting in the room could be a bit better & easier to figure out. Having individual light switches for the overhead lights at the bed was nice, but discovered a bit late. The hotels website states the bathroom floors are heated, but mine was freezing cold tile.

It’s a stunning building, room was very nice - shower was hot and the bed was so comfy! I think they’re having renovation works done though as there was a lot of loud banging. Staff were so friendly, the lady on check in showed me all the different places to go and how to get there and even gave me a free upgrade!
The mini fridge in the room had a mind of its own, every so often it would let out this loud buzzing sound. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls, the renovations and just people walking up and down the corridor.

Very Fun for photos!
The heaters get hot but those are NY heaters. Putting the air on made the room feel comfortable. So no complaints.
