Close to everything in Manhattan! Rockefeller center, Central Park, radio city, fifth ave! The staff is great, the rooms are great size. Love the hotel bar to get a drink before going out. My second time staying here and I will definitely be back again.

Location is fantastic. Just a block or so from Central Park Park and very close to Times Square. Staff at front desk extremely accommodating- checked us in earlier without even being asked.

Hotel bar closed before 10.30 pm on a Friday night even for residents. I thought this was very poor. I understand charging us for keeping our bags when we have checked out of hotel but they also charge if your room isn’t ready when you arrive (which isn’t your fault! ) I think if you’re going to be a guest this should be included in the price when you arrive.

I liked the ambience, the marble, the brass elevator doors, the mural in the breakfast room, and all of the quality construction materials that are often difficult to find these days. The staff was wonderful, the room was spacious, and we loved having a cocktail in the lounge. I neglected to bring exercise gear, though I did check out the fitness room and was sorry that I wasn’t able to use it.

We loved every minute of our stay! The rooms were large and very clean! Everyone was super helpful and always ready to push the elevator button, open the door, retrieve my DoorDash order, etc. My daughter and I felt so safe.

We had a room at the end of the hallway and it was suprisingly spacious. Our view would have been of the city but it was blocked by construction.

The pillows and bed were not great. Not bad but certainly not great. It was disappointing that this hotel had no restaurant.

The room was large, comfortable, clean, lovely, good bed, and had everything I needed. There were plenty of places- desk, both sides of bed to recharge phones, etc. and outlets were compatible with all types of plugs. The location is fantastic. Close to subway, MOMA, restaurants, shops. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant on the premises serving breakfast was expensive and not great.

The room was ok. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was no noise at all from neighboring rooms .

There was an awful smell upon walking in and there every time we passed through the lobby and front door . It was so unpleasant and sickening. The lobby was incredibly small and had nothing there. No amenities. The gym was dated. It had nice marble but beyond that it was like an old apartment building .

So I really enjoyed the friendliness of The staff. Ilani at reception was exceedingly efficient, her friendliness was infectious and I hope she is well appreciated

It would’ve been nice to have heat lamps just outside the door so as to keep guests warm while they waited in the freezing cold for Ubers or Taxi. Also nice so it’s not too freeze out those hotel greeters who spend a considerable amount of time outside.

Staff is wonderful, very lovely group of people. The spaces were clean and inviting. I have family that once lived in the hotel in the 1930s and it was a wonderful experience getting to stay and experience the building and its living history.

Wifi was not working well however we were out in the city for much of the stay and didn't need wifi. No need to stay in when the whole city is there to explore.

The details made the difference! Each bedside had ample plugs & USB/C ports, good bedside and room lighting, and a special favorite of mine abundant space to unpack including bedside tables with 3 good sized drawers. It was especially cold while we were in NYC so having an extra blanket in the closet was great. The room was larger than most NYC hotel rooms and while not fancy, it really was a very comfortable spot and we'd book again happily. The evening doorman, Adam, was especially helpful. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was its proximity to MOMA -- very convenient!

While there was a basic coffee maker in the room that used Starbucks pods, we did miss having coffee available in the lobby. There were no tea pods in-room but I was able to jury-rig the device to use tea bags I carry with me when traveling.

The hotel is art deco style and the rooms are lovely. Comfortable pillows - an absolute must! Would just have liked a kettle to make tea. We aren’t all coffee drinkers!

The restaurant only served breakfast but not dinner. We didn’t use it at all, but would have done if it opened for dinner.

1. Not all staff were accommodating and as friendly as expected Vs price we paid to stay there. I was expecting more. 2. I could hear people from the neighbouring rooms talking all night. 3. The old school air conditioning and heating systems were noisy and turned on and off multiple times per night. 4. Everything! The location is fab, central to lots of the main sights and within walking distance of many of them too - Rockefeller center, Times Square, Central Park to name a few. And you’re never far from a subway to get around the city. The hotel also has a lovely traditional style which gives it character. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. And the bar, Randolph’s, is a lovely space for a nightcap after a busy day sight seeing. We read the negative reviews about long lift wait times but didn’t experience this however might have been the time of year we went (Feb UK half term). Would highly recommend staying here and we’ll stay again when we return.

Staff was very nice and helpful when I needed things. Their breakfast was good with a nice selection. Overall cost was fair for what it is and the location is central.

The hotel is tired. The furniture in the rooms is worn and overall it needs some updates and refreshing. It's a great hotel and has a fun history but it needs some investment and updates. They only serve breakfast, no lunch or dinner in their restaurant.
