The property is under renovations and we were not informed when booking online. Staff sucks and no refrigerator. Microwave was delivered 36hrs later.

room was filthy, bathroom was disguising. no hot water. worst hotel i have ever stayed it. They were under renovations but that still does not give them the right to rent a room that has mildew, no hot water and floor/carpet i dare not walk on with my bare feet

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!! My only sweet sweet relief is now that i have read some of the other reviews, I now know this is not a hotel I ever want to stay anywhere even close to.As much as i dont trust everything everyone says (as nor should you), the consistent reviews on lack of cleanliness, lack of attentiveness from staff, and excess of bed bugs/roaches/etc. definitely turned me off from ever going near this disaster of a hotel.Spend your hard earned money somewhere that deserves it.

Just so everyone is clear with my review, because I truly hate giving bad reviews, I did not get a chance to actually stay at this hotel due to their SUPREME lack of customer service!!! In this pandemic, my mother unfortunately came down with Covid-19. Due to this dire emergency i was unable to uphold my reservation because of the extensive hospital stay. After attempting to contact the hotel for a week straight they told me they could not help me and that i had to request a cancellation (cost of $125 when room was only $109 haha) or change of dates through Booking.com. So i did just that, only problem was i did it a month in advance and STILL no manager/supervisor responded with any options. So here I am, the day after my reservation, sitting up with my sick mother writing this review to show how truly disappointed I am in Penrose Hotel Philadelphias' customer service during such a severe pandemic. I PERSONALLY would not recommend this hotel to anyone and if anyone asks for my opinion, i will tell them exactly what was said in this review (with cursing).HOWEVER, if you do wind up booking this hotel, i just wanted to forewarn those beings of potential problems that might ensue. So good luck and stay safe dear friends.
