Remote control didn’t work all the time. We stayed 5 nights and we only requested room cleaned once but the cleaners didn’t show till next day. Breakfast ends at 9:00 during the week. Ten would be helpful. Us tourists are out all day, exhausted and hard to be ready by 9:00 a.m. the next morning ;)

We loved our stay at the Hyatt. Breakfast was great. Our boys enjoyed the pool, too bad not enough time was spent there due to maintenance. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Absolutely filthy elevators, entrance, hallways, 5th floor elevator waiting area. Management should walk around and take the elevators. We only need an every other day room clean, mostly not to overburden staff, and the day we needed a clean and we were gone from 0930 until 5 pm our room was not cleaned. We did not have the occupied hang tag on the door. So, a 5-night stay, only one clean! The day that our room, 546 was missed was 7/16/2024. We had to call for towels, they were brought up promptly. Nice 2nd floor patio, I could tell staff does not go out there daily to pick up, straighten chairs and pillows to keep it inviting.

The $49 valet parking was excessive and the only reason that it did not give this property a 10. i used it the first night because i had to but changed the other nights. This was a turn off.

Very nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. Great location, easy walk to waterfront walking trail by river. Lime scooters on walking trail are fun to cruise on. lounge/restaurant was nice, but the seating was not so comfortable. All the seats were hard seats and no comfortable padded seating. Restaurant/snack bar had fast food - typical fried foods and some salads options. Other restaurants within walking. There is some parking on the side of the hotel. Paid parking until 7 pm, then free the rest of the night until early morning 8 or 9 AM . Valet parking is around $50 -ouch. There is a parking garage about 2 blocks away if you don't mind the walk. It was $13 for the night - I think this was a special rate for Sunday evening. Lastly, I felt safe walking around.
I would recommend this hotel.

Due to a system glitch, our key card was malfunctioning, and we were the only ones affected. This caused significant inconvenience as we had to request assistance from hotel staff every time we needed to enter our room, resulting in delays and added frustration. We wondered if it would be possible to switch rooms to alleviate the issue, as it seemed like little was being done to address the problem.

I like the location very much. It is close to my offices when I travel and the area is quiet but close to anything I need.
The room next to me had two dogs and the owners were clearly gone all or nearly all of the time. I had my sleep disturbed every night and while the hotel staff did check in on me, nothing was done. 3 nights stay and little sleep

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and options for various food needs. Staff were helpful. Our room, which was a double suite, was clean and quiet. The central air was comfortable and quiet. We had lots of space and a kitchen, which seemed well appointed. We hardly used it since breakfast was so good and we chose to eat at nearby restaurants for dinner. Had we wanted to cook, groceries were not nearby, so planning for that in advance would be recommended.
We chose to park in a lot down the block, which cost half of the valet cost.

The Hyatt house is a good stay if you are interested in staying the downtown area. It’s located very close to the water and other hotels. Good restaurant options as well.
We took a studio suite and it was pretty spacious. The kitchen was well equipped although we didn’t use it much. But in general there was enough space for my husband , my baby and myself.
The amenities are decent. Pool is a bit small. breakfast is complimentary which had pretty good options.
The staff was nice.
My only issue with the room was that the bed was queen. I would have preferred a king size bed.
My other complaint is that the valet suggested to park in the Douglas parking lot which is $25 per night. But right opposite that, there’s another parking lot that costs $18 per night. Go for the cheaper one, it’s right opposite

I had a woman worker ask us to bus our own table as we walked away while supervising us. However, there were tip cards everywhere. You can't be expected to tip if you have to get your own breakfast and clean up after yourself. This happened on our last day. Every other day, the staff were exceptional.

The free breakfast was a typical free hotel breakfast, but with enough variety to satisfy most. Location next to the train made it easy to get to downtown in a timely manner. Suites were affordable, clean, spacious and comfortable. We felt safe walking outside after dark. Minimal city noises at night. Hotel staff were kind and eager enough, but would benefit from customer service training.
Valet parking was too costly for the area and pick up was chaotic leading to 45 minute delays…despite carefully following hotel instructions. There are self parking garages nearby, which are more affordable and easy to access/leave. We needed a car to help our college student move in—otherwise a car is unnecessary for a visit to downtown Portland. Some hallway rugs were somewhat worn with stains and an odor. I recommend replacing coffee pods in rooms with higher quality like Starbucks or Peets.

There was a smell near the ground floor elevators that wasn't pleasant. The breakfast food was not very quality. And the seal on the shower was broken so the bathroom got water all over.

-not sure if it was just the room i was in but there was a loud machinery type sound all through the night and was vibrating the metal electrical panel in the room
-you can hear almost everything from neighboring room
(i.e. a hair dryer running for 20 mins and Drake’s song “9” at 8am)
-every glass/mug in the room had some sort of schmutz on it. one of the mugs straight up had a greasy lip print on it
-a couple of the towels had pretty obvious stains

The pool was always clean and hardly used I liked that it was not crowded.I stayed here for the inside heated pool.
unfortunately I was unable to use pool first day of my stay as it was being cleaned and closed from 8:00pm-10:00am.
