The check on staff was just okay. Not very welcoming to be honest. Also, the lotion in the bathroom is a weird consistency and literally doesn't sink in. Otherwise everything else was great!

Rooms were big, outstanding view (which I paid for), nice decor and very clean. Hotel in a great location allowing easy walks to quality restaurants.
While rooms were clean, corridors were not. Throughout 3 day stay I observed empty food bags and area of dirty carpet, due to food spills, by the lift for the entire stay (floor 9). Used cups left outside doors by house keeping, usually for the entire day. Not a good image. We were informed of destination tax and were told it comes off additional spends (like food) at the hotel. This was a mess, with overcharging and incorrect calculations on the bill. We corrected it at the time of checkout.

I just overall didnt like Portland. There were a lot of homeless people and drug use right around the corner from the hotel. The hotel was a great location but the drug use and homelessness really took away from the entire experience

Location and value for money.
Large size room.
The hotel shows on booking.com as 5*, while it is not. Google ranks it as 4*. Also on the hilton official website it does not show as 5*.
There is a local stay tax that we were not informed about until checkout. Apparently the hotel offers some benefits because of those charges but those were never offered to us.

At the check-in, they try to add a "mandatory" charge to the booking.com room rate to "promote their food and beverages program". This is NOT part of the booking cost and is a disgusting practice. I plainly refused and told them that I never cooperate with such schemes. Eventually the receptionist had to pull in the manager and after a lot of unpleasant interaction with a lot of pressure applied, the manager "waived" the charges. I remarked that there was nothing to "waive" as I never signed up for such charges. I find this utterly disrespectful to customers who are booking a hotel, especially when it is listed as 5-star. It is infuriating to see such policies and behaviour from reputable hotel chains. I rarely give reviews to hotels, but such behaviour or policies must be called out.

Location was a plus and the lobby bar was always lively. Coming back from experiencing Portland, it was nice to have a nightcap in the lobby.
The bathroom could be larger. In the website, it appeared to be, but in-person it was much smaller. However still a nice bathroom.

Service from the bar and restaurant staff was the highlight. The drinks and the food were amazing. Loved that! Location is great to explore downtown Portland. I spent the first 19 years of my life in Portland and moved away about 6 years ago. The location was great to show my partner all the highlights. The view from my room was to die for.
Pool and fitness room was lacking in amenities. Front desk staff were often rude. The room was poorly organized with inoperable features such as a TV with a giant crack in it. There were no in room dining options available and no stocked mini fridge. Subpar coffee options in the room. The hallways were unkept. There was a cookie and a towel sitting in the hallway when we turned in for the night and when I woke to go for a morning swim the cookie and towel were still sitting there. Check in and out times are insane. early check in was 50 dollars on top of the 26 dollar fee that for the life of my I can’t understand what it was for. The bathroom was stocked with cheap toilet paper and towels too. For the almost 300 dollars I spent for 1 night at this I was pretty annoyed with how it went

Loved the decor, ambiance and set up of the entire hotel, as well as the rooms. The rooms were spacious with several other seating options besides the bed. Loved having the loveseat option as well as the desk/desk chair. The TV was extra large, which my husband was estatic about! All the staff were super friendly even though they had to work extra hard due to low staffing. The restaurant food was delicious! We would definitely stay at the Duniway Portland again in the future!
The temperature was super chilly in the lobby. Limited staff, so it took a while to check in and the restaurant was only open for breakfast seating, otherwise we had to order to-go for dinner. Having a microwave in the room would be nice.

The facilities, amenities, and location of this hotel were great! I really enjoyed how clean and comfortable it was (from someone who has some hotel horror stories). I was only there for 1 night but my stay was so nice that I know I'll be back!
The hotel lobby is very beautifully designed and captured my attention immediately while searching for hotels. I also thought the hotel rooms, gym, and pool were nicely designed and well kept.
The hotel is close to many Portland attractions including Powell's books and Pioneer Square. It was also nice being bale to walk everywhere. I didn't take public transport the one night I stayed here but because of its central location I imagine it would be easy. Paying the extra bucks for the city view was so worth it too. Got to see the city at night and early in the morning which was stunning!
The staff were very polite and friendly as well. They helped me with the parking situation, making it a seamless process.
I really don't have anything bad to say about my stay here!
The only complaints I have are that parking was not made very clear. The night I arrived it didn't seem like valet service was operating and driving into the parking garage was tricky.
The time of year and duration of my stay made this hotel more affordable but under other circumstances, it would be quite pricey.

The hotel is in a nice downtown location in easy walking distance to many shops. The room was spacious and attractive. Really liked the full sized pillows and the dual head shower.
While the parade has convenient access to the hotel it is very pricey.

I was in town to take the NCLEX - RN (exam to get your RN license) and this was the perfect hotel to stay at. It's so close to the Fox Tower where I had to test and close so many other great areas Portland has to offer. The room was really nice. I had a great view of the city and the bed was really comfortable. And the breakfast, talk about amazing. Smaller menu options, but it was so delicious. I had a yogurt and granola bowl with fresh fruit that was to die for! I paired that with an open face breakfast club and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. The staff was super friendly!
I loved my stay overall but a few things I would have enjoyed were:
•A microwave in the room. I got thai food for dinner and wanted to reheat my leftovers but was unable to.
•It would have been nice if there was a hot tub in the pool area as well. I was looking forward to soaking in a hot tub and didn't realize there wasn't one when I booked.
•I'm also not sure about if I'm getting charged for breakfast and parking. Before I booked it said included so I'm hoping it's included in the price I paid and I don't get charged extra. If I do, that will be on the list of things I didn't like. Overall, great place to stay I'd definitely come back!

The front desk staff was probably the most unfriendly I’ve run across in years. Flat. Acted as if we were bothering her just to check in. Similar experience when I called with a question a few days before the stay. Also, the parking garage was inaccessible upon arrival due to parade that evening downtown. A heads up from the hotel would have been nice. We were stuck in our car for 45 minutes trying to locate and get to parking that was close which made us an hour late for reservations.

Location was great, bed was comfortable.
Air conditioner had a terrible rattle that kept us up all night, headboard was visibly warn and pealing, the bodywash and shampoo were empty which we didn't have time for them to fix before needing to be clean and checked out, the TV didn't work and it took them an hour to simply bring us a new remote, and the carpet in the hallway, especially by the elevators looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Very disappointing for $250/ night. Won't stay there again and concerned that Hilton is really letting their properties go downhill.

The design and comfort of the room was fantastic. We loved the espresso machine in the room and the great city view. In addition, the location was perfect for the concert we came to attend at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
The only thing that would have improved our visit would have been later hours for food and perhaps, but not necessarily, room service. A late night menu for those returning from an event at 10pm would be really nice.
