The bathroom wasn’t very clean. There was never anyone at the front desk to help or answer questions. We could never get a hold of anyone when we tried to call the front desk for extra pillows or things we needed. For such a cool historic building, i feel like they could have done a much better job with decor and the amenities.

The hotel is beautiful, it is old and classic so the rooms are VERY small, which isn't a huge deal. I love that you have a breakfast and dinner spot right next door so it is very convenient and they are both delicious! It is also located right downtown so you can get to anywhere you want. We rode scooters through the city!
There is no parking so be prepared! We ended up having to pay $25 a day for parking in the lot right next door. We arrived on a holiday so the parking was free - we tried to pay and the machine told us its a holiday and free so we didn't. My husband went to move the car to be located under our hotel window 1 hour after we arrived and there was a ticket ($35) on the car. The employee at the front desk was not a big help. He also made sure to finish a text on his cell phone before he greeted us. There was a line so there shouldn't have been time to make a personal text message. I still like the hotel, but we would probably choose another hotel next time. For parking alone we paid with the ticket $85 for 2 days!!!

The hotel is GORGEOUS. The staff very friendly. Don¿t expect high end or someone who went to school for hospitality services, and you will be happy. It¿s nice kids running the front desk. The bed was great.
The surrounding businesses can be a little noisy, but nothing earplugs can¿t handle. The manager at the attached Eggsburgh restaurant was unprofessional both days we went. First day to her waitstaff in front of us, and then rude to us the second day.

Perfect location for our needs. We were happily surprised at the size of our room and loved the restaurant, Eggsburgh, connected to the hotel. We ate breakfast there everyday during our stay.
Returning next year for the Kilby Block Party music festival and already reserved our room.

The bathroom set up was awful. The sink next to the bed and toilet inches from the tub was bad. Also the afternoon sun coming into the bathroom window warmed the room up to an uncomfortable level. A window shade could easily fix that

The room was small. The AC was horrible, it was so loud it sounded like a truck was idling. There was no cleaning service unless you requested it, so the towels weren’t changed. You have to ask for more coffee pods. There is no parking available, there is street parking, however if you park overnight you have to get up in the morning and move the car or feed the meter. It’s not ideal!

Was disappointed that the bar/restaurant attached had such poor reviews. We had towels that had lipstick or some type of makeup on them, but otherwise the room was good. We did not have hot water to begin with, but maintenance fixed this. A little bit disheartening to have to search so hard for parking, but understand this is downtown SLC.

The hotel was beautifully redone. Comfortable bed. Large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Walking distance to some pretty cool places including Keys on Main (the dueling piano bar). Check in and out online and digital room key so no need to check in with staff. Smells good in the common areas.
You have to pay $25/day to park in the hotel parking lot on top of their already high rate. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. No pool or jacuzzi. No in room refrigerator and microwave. No breakfast included. A lot of homeless/drug in the area, people asking you for money when you're walking around. Nothing happened to our truck but it's unsettling that there is no security in the $25/day parking lot

There were just a couple of things we weren't thrilled about. The air conditioner didn't work to heat up and we were freezing at night. We were put up above the trash cans, which were taken out at 5am and we were woken up by the noise. There was no place to put goods (cosmetics, flosser etc.) in the bathroom, so we had to put them on the floor, which was inconvenient. We had problems connecting to the wiFi. There was no refrigerator in the room. Parking behind the hotel is paid $25.

Rooms are pretty small - we had a king size bed and it took up practically the whole room.
Hotel does not provide parking, had to pay $25/day from a public lot. We had no issues parking there, just would have liked to know that in advance and including as an FYI to other guests.

The biggest thing I didn’t like is I feel like Booking.com tricked me into paying a way higher rate. And I didn’t notice till I got to the hotel and they had rooms available for $108 a night, and through booking it was almost $250 a night!! More than double!
