Renovations were just completed, so everything looked new. Bathroom great size, plenty of lighting and mirrors. Good amenities such as built in shower shampoo, cream rinse and body wash, hair dryer, hangers, ironing board, extra blanket. They gave each of us a free water on check in and the breakfast had a lot of options. Bed was comfortable and TV was large and the couch in the room turned into a bed. There was valet parking, we did not use. And it looked like when we left there was a guy with a security shirt walking the parking lot. Also, it was late when we checked in, but outside our window was the pool and hot tub and they looked nice. Our curtains in our room were blackout curtains that could be opened or closed. Overall, I would stay again if needing a hotel in the area.
Parking was tight, we were lucky to find a spot to park. The new renovations were overall good, but whoever did the work left drywall mud on the back of doors, there was a hole in the wall in the bathroom that looked like they drilled in the wrong spot and didnt patch it after, carpets looked frayed on some edges throughout the hotel ...just not clean work. The hotel next to was definitely in need of TLC , it looks like an area that is being revitalized....I was not prepared for the extra taxes being added to the bill...I found it pretty pricey for a one night stay...also there is a sign posted stating the hotel is not responsible for any damage or theft to your car, which leads me to believe that it happens since they posted the sign. Lastly, the smell of weed was pretty strong when checking in.

The location was great and the room was very nice. My kiddos really liked the room.
The fact there was a parking charge that was not on the description when booking 25 additional dollars a night and there was no parking had to double park and then at night there was an attendant who did the exact same thing. No luggage cart other than 1 that everyone was looking for it was a long weekend with family and trying to bring or take several trips to car before and after checking in and out. When asked where else can i park if not inside all i got was " Good question" and just stared at me. Needs more organization with continental breakfast very dirty and ran out of food had many people with kids including ourselves scrambling to get them something when they should have been prepared addressing the issue to staff members they were rude and even after going to front desk they simple said we are fully booked and ran out of food and continued on with there own conversation. For the money value I expected more from a hotel specially for a family vacation stress free in we will definitely not be staying there again.

The noise from surrounding rooms, not intentional but disruptive. Each time the neighbor to the right shut their door it shook the wall and bed. They went in and out at least a dozen times as late as 2 am. Each time neighbor to the left ran the shower or water it squealed through the wall. The carpet was wet by the a/c, but seemed to be from carpet cleaning. The fan in the bathroom ran non stop, we had to keep the door closed to minimize the noise.

Looks like it's a new hotel with standard rooms, pretty comfortable but nothing special.stuff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The location is good, close to downtown, and to SeaWorld.
When we've checked in, both elevators got out of order. So we've had to use stairs. But like I sed earlier, new hotel... everything is possible. Elevators were fixed during a couple of hours

It was close to everything!
The noise above us! We were on the first floor. Some noise is to be expected but kids running and jumping is not. We checked out earlier than we planned because of it. During quiet time the staff did address the issue and we were able to sleep.

The hotel itself was very, very nice—clean, comfortable, and overall a great place to stay. The only downside for us was the surrounding area. It’s located very close to an adult entertainment bar, and there were quite a few unhoused individuals in the vicinity. We also found that there weren’t many family-friendly restaurants or activities within easy walking distance.
Overall, the hotel was excellent, but the neighborhood may not be ideal for families looking to explore on foot.

The check in was nice, the clerk very friendly. The Hampton is a nice property with all the right amenities. Our room was spotless and very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was nice, and the coffee quite good.
The Hampton Inn charges $25 to park your vehicle. There virtually no safe parking in the area. The area is not walkable and offers no more reasonable option. For the price point of the Inn, parking should be included.
There were a few other patrons who were quite annoyed by this fee.
There are many options in this area of San Diego. I would not choose it again considering, price, parking, & location.
