On the beach
We got there early but couldn’t get in our room even though the room was ready. They wanted us to pay $50 extra to access our room early. They gave us a parking pass to be able to enjoy the beach but we couldn’t park in the lot next to the beach and without access to our room, no place to change into swimsuits. There were no towels or wash cloths in our room. No one would answer the phone when we called to get them. The floor underneath the TV was dirty with food and the floor stayed wet during the night due to sweating/condensation which created a fall hazard. The hotel is in a great location but needs to work on a lot things.

The room was not clean. The floor was so dirty you could not walk on it with bare feet. Bathroom vent was covered in dust. Hair left in bath tub from a previous guest. Dirty towel in hallway by our room that stayed there for 2 days before it was removed, pair of gloves in hallway that stayed there for a day. The table on the balcony was covered in dirt that I had to clean. Could not call front desk to request more towels and other items, had to text them. Only a half roll of toilet paper, 6 Kleenex left in box.

we loved the assistance to moving our rooms to beach view, to getting us checked in, just the general kindness of all. The rooms were clean, there were plenty of towels, we loved the broom and dustpan to get up the sand, the location was perfect, east to walk out the door and onto the beach. we have been coming for three years and LOVE the bikes
we missed the tiki bar. it was closed for the season so the arm bands we got were useless. We would have swam in the pools but they were not heated so we just sat around the pool. It was still warm that week - in the 70s and 80 s

They had nice touches, like having folding beach chairs in the room that we could bring down to the beach. We also got there early, before check in, and were able to park and used their facilities to change into our bathing suits.

We never saw a housekeeper. We took our own trash out every day. We had to ask for fresh towels three times during our stay. When we arrived there was no toilet tissue in the room. Extremely overpriced. And the fact that we paid $35 per day to park when there were usually only 3 cars in the parking lot the entire week. Excessive. We arrived at 1:30 on the day of check-in and were told we could do early check-in for an additional $57. Check in is at 4:00 PM. We had driven 11 hours to get there. That’s unbelievable. We sat our trash outside the door each day and sometimes it took two days to pick up. There were dust bunnies under the air conditioner. I’m sure that had not been vacuumed or cleaned in weeks. The remote on the TV didn’t work properly.

The woman at front desk was welcoming, courteous and informative, actually besides being oceanfront, she was the best thing about thr hotel. Location was great. Alittle out dated. Seems not so clean though. Brought in our sleeping bags to put on top of bed. Can tell was a very nice hotel in its heyday. Should update capable of being a 4 star hotel. About a 2 star right now though.

Our first room we checked into was not even cleaned. Trash everywhere and dirty laundry. Had to walk through a construction zone of remodeling drywall and drywall dust all over our bags. I understand remodel in off season times but close down that floor and rent the rest.

The location was great! Easy to walk to grab a bite to eat, to go shopping, and to play on the beach.
The hotel felt very rundown and only one elevator was working. I had to wait to get my room and then once I was able to get in a room, they gave me a room that was occupied. I had to wait again to get in a different room that wasn't occupied. We had a beach view room, but didn't realize that there is a public parking lot that separates the the hotel from the beach. This parking lot was loud and felt distracting from what I thought would be a peaceful experience.

I liked the tiki bar, ms anita is so sweet. i liked the free chairs and beach towels to use during stay.
the walk to the beach was further than expected as opposed to other hotels ive been to before that are stated to be on the beach. also the pools are in front of the building instead of the back which is strange. the room was moderately clean, some stuff was stained but i guess that cant be cleaned since its a stain. would recommend replacing those things though.

1. Another couple was given a key to our room after we occupied it and they attempted to enter before realizing the mistake. 2. The room became hot and muggy because the power went off at 10:45PM and did not come back on until 12:10AM. We also needed the light to take our medication and insulin shots.
