The location
Our room was very run down, and it wasn’t clean. The desk and tv stand had stains on it
The metal lookin light fixture on the desk had rust all over it
The shower had stains in it on the floor
The sink had black gunk or mold along the ring where it connects to the counter top
The toilet had a stain in it also
Then the lights beside the bed were flickering on highest setting so we had to go underneath that
The drawers had a white stain on them like they had not been wiped
Also on one of the beds it was piece of hair on the pillow when we first arrived. I only booked the room because of how it looked but our room was terrible. The shower you could tell was not properly cleaned. I told staff about the issues before we left and they gave me some company for the room, but I will not be back.

The corner room was very nice. The hummus platter is excellent. Free complementary bottle water in the rooms.
The service was bad out on the patio. Took forever to be waited on. The rooftop bar only has can beer. We spent most of our time on the patio just to get bottle beer. There were times also that we went elsewhere due to slow service on the patio. Not much on the menu for happy hour. The greens salad is mostly Lettuce only.

Stayed six nights, room service never once vacuumed our floors our cleaned the dresser. Hundreds of people used the elevator at night for a party at the skybar who were not hotel guest as I had to wait 15 minutes to get an elevator with my 3 year old.

I picked a room on the 20th floor (I want to emphasize that I picked the room, not the Hilton team). Two challenges. The balcony and view were both stunning and terrifying at the same time! It is VERY high up. Great if you’re a thrill seeker. Second challenge was that my room was directly under the rooftop pool which turns into a fun nightclub on weekends. I recommend the pool club!! But also recommend choosing a lower floor if you are bothered by noise. I chose to just go up there and party with them. It was a great time!

The live music outside of the restaurant was nice each night.
Both pools were small, over crowded and dirty. Some of the elevators were out of service so you were waiting 20+ minutes to go up to your room or go down from your room. The staff were using the guest elevators because the service elevator was not working as well. We saw several dead cockroaches in the lobby and the staff didn’t seem to be that concerned when made aware. The Valet service was a complete mess. For almost 500 a night I expected much more. Do better Hilton.

The room was a little small for the price. The room had a double bed and it was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location! It is right next to a band shell, beach, and the boardwalk. Plenty to do around the hotel. The pool was on the rooftop. There were two pools, which was nice. One pool was indoors, which was great to be able to get out of the sun, but still swim. I also loved the restaurant!
The elevators were slow and acted weird sometimes, like skipping floor or the doors would snap shut on you. The price was high, but it was during a Holiday week-end. I also did not like that the pool closes kind of early.

The pictures you put on your site are a gross misrepresentation of the hotel. The pool is old, dirty and filled with super cloudy chlorine water. Rooms are smelly and old. Pool towels are old rags that are so hard I got a rash. I booked a king room with a view and balcony and I got a room with street view and vibrating windows till 2 am from the music up and down.

I didn't care for the "Old Virginia Beach" picture hanging in our room as it is a stark reminder of the history of Virginia Beach and its separatism. One of our towels had what appeared to be rust stains on them.

I liked the location of the hotel and the oceanfront view.
I didn’t like the bathtub. Compared to the sink, the sink provided hotter water than the bathtub. The bathtub had noticeable molding which wasn’t applied properly. Also there was slight mold spot on the shower curtain. After flushing you could hear the toilet running, and after the water in the sink was turned off: you could hear water dripping on the sink for about two minutes afterwards. . The sound of water dripping in the sink loudly was very irritating, especially arriving back to the hotel late and atrempting to get some rest.
If the other rooms don’t provide a stand up shower or an option for one, possibly consider a remodel for this hotel. I expected more from this Hilton, especially for the price and location.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The common areas were well attended to, clean and luxurious feeling.
The room was in less than desirable shape considering the price point of the stay. The carpet was coming up from the transition strip of the entrance of the room into the bedroom area and around the sliding glass door to the balcony. There was a stain on a pillowcase on one of the beds. One of the lights did not work for the duration of our stay. We found an old potato wedge in the bathroom cubby behind the towels when we first arrived. The hot water from the sink and the tub/shower was so hot I nearly burned my hands trying to wash them and I was unable to bathe my children because the water was either boiling hot or cold. There were also a number of gnats in the room when we first arrived. While the staff were very helpful it was our first time staying at this particular location so we were unfamiliar with some of the procedures/policies and they were not very clearly communicated which was frustrating at times.

It was beautiful and right on the beach, the lobby was beautiful, shopping areas were close by, eateries than the hotels restaurant was close and many to chose from.
I enjoyed that it was clean, staff was very cordial and attentive. The restaurant was very good, staff members there were very nice, they greeted you and treated you like they really cared that you choose to eat there. Upon arrival you will be caught off guard by the incidental fees…$100 per night. The hotel parking garage charges $25 per day for guests who self park as well as tax on top of it. However, if you use the same parking garage as public use, then the maximum is $20/day, no tax. Oh yeah, valet parking at the hotel? $35 in the same parking garage.
Not all rooms have balconies. The city view side would have been more relaxing to have a balcony. Watching the hustle and bustle isn’t as beautiful as the ocean, but it’s still enjoyable.
We were unable to regulate the temperature in our room. Despite changing the thermostat, it never came below 76° unless my husband opened the sliding door to the safety railing and allowed the breeze to move through. If my children had been on this trip, I would have stayed in panic mode stressing about the railing possibly failing and sending them to an early grave.
Outside our room was a sign pointing to the opposite end of the hall indicating where the vending machines were. Four days, three nights, and I never did find a vending machine or an ice machine.
I hate being sucked into a timeshare sales pitch. I did not feel the concierge desk should prey on guests when the guests are seeking assistance in a matter.
The lunches provided by the hotel for the conference attendees were quite disappointing. My beef and cheddar sandwich had no cheddar. I’m not entirely certain about the cold potatoes on day one, and especially did not understand raw, cold green beans on day 2. Pb&j would have sufficed. Even pizza.
This was just an instance where “bigger isn’t always better.” Cheaper hotels tend to do their best to provide a good experience. Free parking & free breakfast are true attractions in themselves.
I did not feel this was a bad trip by any means, however, I was ready to go home as quickly as possible.

I enjoy the location and also the staff of the Hotel. The pool is always a pleasure also!

Housekeeping staff were helpful and friendly when on the floor cleaning other rooms.
Balcony next to loud ac units, coffee bar was not maintained well (several items missing and dirty surface). Elevators and halls were not air conditioned in 90+ degree temps. Front desk did not deliver items as requested. Shower head would not shut off. Ice maker was corroded and dirty looking. Roof outdoor pool with bar was overwhelmed with kids.

The location was just right. There was some kind of skating board convention going on, and so we had a lot of music and action to watch from the balcony of our room. This hotel is located in the heart of all of the concert area.
I did not like that you had to pay $25 a night, plus taxes to park my car in the parking deck. I believe this should be included with the hotel fees. Another thing I did not like was that you had to request a microwave, be brought up to your room. They're not automatically in the room.

I like the location of the hotel most and the activities/events the hotel provided.
The elevator situation was terrible, sometimes waiting close to 20-30 minutes to even be able to get on 1. 1 of them continuously broke down. Pool needs to be updated/cleaned.

The staff did not meet expectations the attitudes did not match the Aesthetics of the hotel. staff looked like they didn' wanna work AT ALL!! That was me and my wife's first time going to this hotel to celebrate her birthday. So if you go to this hotel prepare yourself for the staff you will not feel welcomed.
Staff was not pleasant even in the restaurant in the hotel 0 star's.

Everything. Location was great, view was excellent. The fitness room was a plus for my son, he wanted to exercise in their so he could get "stronger". The valet was great also and had good conversation while we waited for our car.
I didn't like the fact that it wasn't a microwave in the room but once I informed them when they checked on us the following day they offered to bring one up to the room.
