The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure.
The TV in the living room was broken, and it took a bit to get it replaced. The pool and hot tub were nasty as can be. I wasn't to happy about that.

Very old furniture. Room was not clean (obviously for a while) certainly not a resort. No on site responsible managers.. took 3 tries to get keys to work (from 6th floor) room was not ready took almost an hour to get into the room that had not been readied for occupancy.

Location was decent.
My husband and I stayed at the Atrium resort on the evening of 9/18. We unpacked and went to dinner. Upon our return, we found a meth pipe on the nightstand next to my side of the bed, as well as fresh blood splatter on the sheets. We were horrified, but felt there was nothing we could do at the time, as it was after midnight. We threw the pipe in the trash and removed the sheet. The next morning my husband got up early and went for a run. During that time, someone entered our room and retrieved the pipe. I was woken up by someone opening and closing doors and walking around the bed, but assumed it was my husband and turned over and fell back asleep. When I woke up the pipe was gone. Time stamps from his watch show that he was on his run during that time. We had booked another night at the hotel, but felt so unsafe that we checked out and went to another hotel.
The General Manager of the hotel has been less than responsive. Initially he offered a refund for the two nights and provided a key audit of the room. He later stated that he would only refund one night and referred me to the hotel's attorney. After reviewing the key audit and comparing with time stamps from our watch activity logs/text messages/receipts, there were multiple entries into our room made by someone other than us, while we were not in the hotel.
Not only is this a huge violation of privacy and grossly unsafe, but the lack of concern from the hotel makes me wonder if this is not an uncommon occurrence at this hotel. As a woman, the thought that a person was in my bedroom while I was sleeping is absolutely terrifying.

1. The location. Close to many restaurants and shops. Walking distance to most of the places we wanted to see.
2. The comfortable bed mattress (but not the pillows).
3. The view of the pool from the higher floor corridors is beautiful.
4. The kitchen is fully equipped.
5. Bathrooms are clean with good enough space.
6. Very close walk to the beach.
1. I liked the comfortable bed but not the quality of the pillows that gave me neck pains the following morning. I don't like the fact that there's only 1 small window to peek outside from our room.
2. The old pull-out sofa without complete bed linens/pillow cases because they ran out, according to the hskg staff.
3. The staff who was with us in the elevator definitely just finished smoking marijuana because he surely left the smell in the elevator even after he stepped out.
4. I don't remember seeing one staff member making an effort to smile or initiate to greet during most of our interactions, except for the guy who came to tell us the bad news that there were no more pillow cases for the pull-out sofa.

Floors in the room was a little slippery. It appears that there was to much wax used on the floor. Or perhaps the wrong type of cleaning agent used. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

The hotel itself is obviously pretty old, but the rooms (and elevator) appear to have been updated. Fixtures and appliances were newer and modern. Bedroom and living room were bright and spacious. The kitchenette is tiny, but sufficient and well appointed. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Bathroom was a little dated (other than fixtures) but sparkling white and clean (having a tub is also a bonus when traveling with a toddler).
The thing that took a decent, clean, comfortable, dated hotel over the top is the staff. From check-in to check-out, questions from Me (mom) and kids, requesting extra linen and late check-out, every single staff member we encountered was excellent. They were welcoming, attentive, quick, and courteous. Every staff member greeted us, we could be passing in the hall as they were cleaning - there was always a smile and a friendly hello. We had a minor maintenance issue (thermostat battery died overnight), and the maintenance man showed up within minutes of me telling the front desk. I only got two names, Mo and Candace at the front desk, but I wish I had gotten more. I would take their whole staff with me on every trip if I could.
1) We had a dust pan in the room, but no broom - which would have come in handy a few times during our stay. A spray mop, or even a dry cloth sweeper situation would have been even better. I loved the hard floors, but I like to keep them clean (my toddler disagrees).
2) While a few things seemed to have been updated, the hotel could use an overall refresh, especially in the common areas. The halls look very dated in contrast to the rooms (except for all the curtains which were dated everywhere).
3) The indoor pool, is nice as an amenity, but should absolutely not look old and dingy considering it is the focal point of the entry/lobby/entire hotel. The pool water itself was clean and warm, but the pool needs to be refinished/resurfaced. The lighting in the pool area is dim, and there is not enough furniture for guests. The pool deck area is pretty small, but even adding a couple of spa benches - like literally 2 - and some hooks on a wall would allow for more than 2 units to share the pool at the same time. We were the 3rd unit down to the pool, so the 2 pairs of seats were already taken by the other guests' dry items and towels. I would've been happy to hang our towels and coverups on a few hooks, rather than on the ledge we had to use (which my son's glasses fell off of into the reception area).

- The hotel assigned us keys to a room that was shockingly already occupied. We opened the door to find people inside -- yes, this actually happened. So people may enter your room anytime because of their terrible management. What this means, people may enter your room at any time, due to their terrible management.
- The key cards and door lock malfunctioned repeatedly throughout our stay; despite a technician supposedly fixing the issue, it persisted. Further complaints were ignored, so one of our family members had to remain inside the room at all times to enable us to re-enter our room.
- To make matters worse, essentials like shampoo and shower gel were completely missing, and when we asked for these items, we were told we would have to wait until the next day as they were out of stock. WHAT A JOKE!
If you are imagining the worst possible hotel stay, this experience would be at the top of your list. We booked two rooms, and both were plagued with multiple issues. This was not just disappointing; it was a COMPLETE DISASTER !

The location to the convention center was great as well as the beach!
Someone’s car was broken into in the parking lot the weekend we were there . The property could have been cleaner. The floors in our room were sticky and we wore slide on sandals the whole time. Staff were very poorly managed. From Thursday to Sunday morning there was 1 housekeeper for the whole place and the older woman running. The desk on Sunday evening was horrible to my kids while they were in the pool. This is not a bad hotel. Just managed very poorly

Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Loved having a full kitchen with a dishwasher that all dishes are supplied. Really nice to have washers and dryers in the hotel to wash laundry. It was nice to take home clean clothes instead of having to worry bout washing them after getting home. Washer and dryer usage is FREE to use. Me and my husband had a great time here. Would definitely go back. Hotel supplied plenty of towels and wash cloths.
Beds were very comfortable. Hotel is close to Walmart and other shopping areas. Close to the beach also. Free parking. Rooms are very spacious. No bugs. Again our room was extremely clean and neatly kept. Alot of lighting in the rooms
This hotel is not oceanfront views but we still were fine staying here. We don't have anything bad to say bout the hotel. They do not offer free continental breakfast but I think that's because rooms have kitchens to make breakfast.

We were assigned a room on the 5th Floor. We got there and the room was already opened and dirty. No way it was ready to be assigned to customers. I went back to report it and went from 5th to 1st Floor. Got to the first floor and saw piles of dirty linings in the p-way by the room we were just assigned. I was very surprised and disappointed. I mean this was a huge pile of dirty linen. I am not sure if we were suppose to be on that floor because we saw one of the stuff on that floor and he seems to be surprised we were on that floor. That seen was unacceptable. This was around 7pm. Later around 9 pm, we saw other person clearing it. I guess there is laundry room around there however, those dirty laundry shouldn't have been out there, on the floor by other rooms. Management needs to look into it.

There was someone on the bed when we opened the door upon check in. We did get a new room. The room could use some updating. There was a sandy film on the sheets, under the blanket. It felt gritty. The sheets, bedspread and towels were stained.

I checked in late that night and the check in attendant was extremely rude and was the first person we encountered. She wasn’t friendly and had an attitude throughout the entire conversation.
