We had a White House tour for two couples. This hotel is really really nice and right down the street. It's really a very nice open suite with two bedrooms for two couples. It also came in less expensive than other hotel options. Highly recommend it!

This is my 3rd stay. I always love this hotel. Perfect location for my business trip, great facilities, super comfortable apartment, very well equipped kitchen. It is my oasis of peace when in DC. Staff is very nice.
Many rooms overlook the back of the building. It is not very appealing and there is a sense of lack of privacy (offices just in front of the room's windows). But I was so busy working away at my computer that I did not care.

I would give the property 10/10 if I wasnโt on the side of the building next to construction. It was too bright and loud. I have stayed at the property 4 years running for my week in DC and itโs been above average for the price. It has everything I want. Every time I get the same room, 710. I checked in early after a red eye and my room wasnโt ready. I sat in the theater until it was, Many other customers checked in between my arrival and occupying the room. Apparently I had to wait for, what I consider a lower quality room because thatโs the room Iโve had before. Iโve booked through booking and direct, this time it was a little cheaper through booking

The property is in an excellent location and within easy walking distance to metro stops, restaurants, Whole Foods and many attractions (White House, National Mall, Smithsonian, etc.). The unit we stayed in was a bit worn, but clean and comfortable. Front desk staff is great and very helpful.
The elevators are noisy, the kitchen was not particularly well equipped, no icemakers or ice machine, and the units are in need of a refresh (cracked tile, kitchen drawers that donโt pull out easily, worn furniture).

The main thing going for this property is its location.
Very tired and in need of some serious upgrading. Bar was never open. Kitchen facilities in the room with no frypan or anything to cook with. Minimal to say the least.

Had to ask for everything including dish soap, dishwasher detergent, coffee. Was confusing bc had a sink and sponge, dishwasher, coffee makerโฆ. But no supplies. When I asked the lady in the morning at the front desk, she said no, those things have to be requested, are you requesting them? I said, um, yes please. Was a bit condescending as if I was supposed to know that. I have no idea what else may have been available as I didnโt feel like asking and I knew nothing would be offered (as to what my options were).

We loved having a large space (unlike most small hotel rooms) for our stay in DC. Place was really nice, clean and had everything needed, plus location was great.
While there was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the tub and hand soap, that was it. There were no moisturizer, tissues, cotton balls, or other small items you generally would find in a hotel.
Also, this is an apartment with a kitchen so having at least some packets of sugar, couple tea bags and coffee and similar things (which you would generally find in a hotel) would have been appreciated.

The apartment suite was very spacious and great for hosting guests. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking meals and overall the appliances (including washer and dryer) worked well. We also enjoyed the convenience of being near two metro stations and a short walk to some attractions on the Mall.
The apartment interior itself felt a bit aged compared to the lobby. The faucet taps were a little loose and some things in general didn't feel as premium as we expected. The blinds especially were rather cheap and didn't block much light at all. The reception desk was understaffed at times so we had to wait to see someone.

Some furnishings were in good condition, but several vinyl covered chairs and the dining bench were very worn and needed recovering. The kitchen cabinets were poorly installed, and some drawers could not be opened. There were only a few dishes. The washer and dryer were poorly installed, and there were no operating instructions. There was no daily cleaning service. The price was too high.

The facility was beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room (a 2 br) was clean and spacious. The location was perfect, a 15 minute walk to the White House. Will stay again.
There was nothing we didn't like. I would recommend when parking we have a large truck, keep in mind that parking garages are tight, but that's on us as this was our first trip to DC and didn't realize the garages are not built to easily accommodate large vehicles.

The suite provided to us was beautiful! My fiancรฉ and I flew in from Miami, FL for a Kendrick Lamar concert and to see all the sights DC has to offer. The staff was very kind, they held our bags after we've checked out to go explore some more before the flight. It is situated in the heart of DC with everything within walking distance (or scooter if that's your type of thing. Would certainly stay here again when we decide to come back! Truly 10/10
There is really nothing negative to say about the place. It doesn't have a traditional "maid cleans room everyday" and they truly value your privacy. There is a specific time where you cant play loud music (this would be at night 8 or 9 pm. Again neither of these things are negatives for me personally and I just tidy up my room and if we're trying to blast music and hang out there are plenty of spots in the area that are more than accommodating.

The apartment was spacious and close to museums and other downtown attractions.
There was a constant noise of a fan, which seriously disrupted our sleep. It seemed to be reverberating throughout the entire floor. An engineer came to investigate and said he would see if someone had left a fan on upstairs but then never returned or explained what it was.
The coffee machine didn't work. The laundry machine didn't get our clothes clean. There was no coffee provided. There were no fans in the bathrooms, so they accumulated moisture.
The rooftop terrace was surrounded on all sides by ugly office buildings, with no view whatsoever.

The room is spacious with basic appliances you would need for a long stay. Great to have washer and dryer on the unit!
The staffs were friendly and professional at the same time which are valuable qualities in a respected hotel.
Parking inside the building was convenient.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay & perfect for long stays and happy to return.
Loud construction type of noise above or next to my bedroom every morning for few hours and I could hear the foot steps and garbage disposal running as well
which disturbed my sleep so I would move into the living room where it was more quiet to get extra snooze.
Room is a bit outdated Altho itโs pleasant and clean ( 90s luxury service apartment ) dish washer very loud!! - bathroom and bedroom carpeting needs refresh and needs a better vent.
If staying longer prob room facing H st will be better instead of looking into the office buildings right outside blocking any view. There was no view from my room so can feel a bit claustrophobic.
Parts of Kitchen flooring was peeling. Would be nice to have small or medium bowls for uses such as cereal, soups, noodles, salad etcโฆ although we managed without it itโs something most people use for convenience and quick meals.
I know coffee is a huge deal for many although there is a standard brewing machine in the room, and a breville electric kettle having a small nespresso type of machine will be amazing but there are enough coffee shops around to satiate those needs. Would be a huge plus if there was a morning coffee provided in the lobby even if it was a self serving option.

The biggest downside was the parking โ $70 per night even for hotel guests. I ended up finding a spot in a farther lot for just $10. In addition, the staff wasnโt particularly friendly or helpful.

The gym is not at all near the caliber of the rest of the hotel. 2 of the 5 cardio machines have been broken for over a year (I stay here frequently). Please repair the bike and the elliptical machine on the left. Please!!

The lobby had a really bed smell for all of the stay. Same in the hallways. The carpets in the room also need a better cleaning. Also I wish they had offered clean towels after a day or two. There was no cell reception in the room - at all...

The staff were very friendly throughout our stay and the location was amazing with great proximity to restaurants, sites , train station etc. Having washing facilities was very welcome. Love the extra space that aka properties offer over as standard hotel.
My main issue was with the speed (or lack thereof) of the wireless connection. For some reason mobile signal is not strong in the property, but the provided wireless internet is very slow. The rooms are very well maintained but beginning to show their age, probably around 15 years so theyโll need a freshen up in coming years.

This is a very good hotel if what you want is a lot of space, a kitchen, washing machine and an extra half bath but none of the smaller amenities (kleenex, lotion, coffee, tea, salt, dish soap). The location is good. The lobby is very attractive. Lots of elevators so it's easy to come and go. Great cafes in the area (Tatte is just around the corner, a whole foods is maybe .8m away), and you can walk to the mall and museums. Desk in the kitchen was helpful and good plugs. I would definitely stay there again, but will go shopping for the extras when I arrive.
The place is tired, flooring is warped in places. I kept walking on the areas that were warped and thinking there was stuff spilled on the floor. Counters are chipped, etc. The dishwasher wasn't secured so seemed like it was going to fall out of its place. Drawer in kitchen barely opens because it runs into the stove handle. There is one dishwasher pod and one laundry pod. One washcloth in the bathroom and no kitchen towel (but there was paper towels). No extra towels. A coffee machine, but no coffee, not in the room and not in the lobby. A few hangers. So it's the bare minimum, but that minimum is good.

Staff was exceptional! Lobby/bar area very nice.
Rooms not as clean as I would have liked, but it was ok. Hot water ran out after 2 people showered unfortunately. Car garage not very functional for full size car, but we made it work. Loved the convenience of the garage though!

Chic hotel, great staff, complimentary drinks and water, large apartments and clean (we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment).
Having to wait for sometime after each member of the family takes a shower so the next could go! The water was cold too fast and took sometime to get hot again. We had 2 bathrooms and couldnโt use the shower at the same time.
A suggestion is to update the bathrooms and washer/dryer machines.

2 bedroom was perfect for our needs. Large, comfortable living room , dining and kitchen area. LOCATION!!
No coffee, Kleenex in apartment. Coffee in lobby from 7:00 - 9:00 am. Should at least last until 10 am with no restaurant or coffee provided in room. Lounge only open certain nights of the week and was only open 1 out of the 5 nights we were there. They charged a $250 resort fee which covered the gym, business center and water each day. Very expensive for the few bottles of water we requested! I can understand the fee for longer stays where people are staying because they are working in DC but not for simply staying to visit our capital for a few days

I liked the location and the spaciousness of the suite.
The parking was awful and overpriced. The staff were not very accommodating. Our rooms shower head was broken and the water never really hot in our room.

This property is in a great spot to see everything in DC. Close to the Metro, White House, and mall. Lots of restaurants and it is easy to get around. Uber rides are under $12 to get to just about anywhere. The room was very clean and sanitary. And it was very roomy.
The first night we were there, there were fans running outside that we extremely loud. They did move us to a quieter room. The staff was okay, but not overly friendly or helpful. We asked for and things to be cleaned up one day, but no one responded. Overall okay, but it could have been much better service, especially since we were there for 10 days.

The location was very good. It was close to the subway. There were a few restaurants a few blocks away. Overall we enjoyed the room as it had everything we needed .
We're not sure about room service as we didnt use it, if it exist. Nothing, that will stop us from going back to be honest.

There were a couple of areas that looked sloppy in the bathroom (paint or grout) but Iโm being super picky.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at AKA Whitehouse. Our apartment, the staff, the location were all excellent. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Also they have an excellent car service,. It was reasonable, reliable and the driver is a very nice gentleman.
