The hotel features spacious suites with fully equipped kitchens. Each suite at the Washington-Downtown Homewood Suites offers a separate living area with a sofa bed and a fireplace. Two cable TVs with HBO and free Wi-Fi are also provided.
Kitchens include a 2-burner stove, dishwasher, and full refrigerator. Homewood Suites Downtown-Washington provides a hot breakfast every morning and a free grocery shopping service. Guests have free access to the modern gym and the laundry facilities.

Horrible staff! Parking is valet only- expensive! I witnessed a dog peeing by the breakfast area and staff did nothing. Took too long to bring extra toilet paper. I got charged for a smoking fee when I didnโt smoke in the room and they refuse to take it off because supposedly the room smelled but they had no solid evidence. So if YOU smell and walk into your room, youโll be charged a fee! HILTON CORPORATE WILL ALSO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. SCAM!

This was a great stay, my suite was spacious and breakfast was plenty.
I lost some jewelry and tried to ask for help at the front desk but I was dismissed almost immediately. So that was not nice, but maybe it was just the staff member at that time. Others were great!

The suite was all that we needed. The location was fantastic to walk anywhere near the White House etc. We drove in and left the car in capable hands and the car was parked safely underground. The staff was so nice and friendly and especially inviting. The front check in area had plenty of space and was warm in this cold week we had. We even had a snack and water offered as being Hilton Honors members. Nice little perk.
The smell of the Evelyn and Crabtree soap collection. I felt like a Fraser fir tree after my shower! ?. I am sensitive to smells so thatโs my issue. There was no dish soap at the kitchen sink. The last Homewood Suite had a small bottle to clean dishes. There was soap for the dishwasher though.

We mostly travel around Europe and Asia, so perhaps hotel standards are different here, but we were disappointed by many things. The rooms are outdated, and the shower was very strange and uncomfortable.
Before our stay, we tried to contact the hotel to ask a few questions that were important to us, but we never received a response - communication was lacking.
What surprised us most unpleasantly was the breakfast situation. Breakfast was included in our stay, but we were leaving early on Saturday morning and therefore couldnโt have it. Weโve experienced similar situations in other hotels, and they usually still provide something small, like a banana or a muffin. These donโt require preparation, and itโs definitely possible to find a simple solution to show some care for guests.
However, when we asked if this would be possible, we received a simple โno.โ Overall, I would say the hotel lacks flexibility and greater respect for its guests.

Very noisy. We were so bothered by a person shouting in the other room and even after calling the front desk the problem was not resolved in timely manner. We had to go downstairs and speak to them in person. The heater/aircon is noisy as well.

I love that it was clean specially the bathroom because I hate when bathroom is not clean. I also love the breakfast. The rooms were very clean but people have dogs in their rooms so I'm not sure how much cleaning each unit get after the guest with the pet leaves. So I would say please renovate the unit and remove all of the carpets. Leave the rooms with no carpet in that case it's easy to keep the germs out better. Thank you and also to mention that I came as a family trip my 6 kids ,husband and mother.
The carpets. The dogs in the guest rooms... can't trust that. They're not human.

Everything is just as seen in the images. Very decent accommodation; bed was firm and nice plus the staff are very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was actually the highlight of my stay! Also, the property is in a very good location โ walkable and easy access to bits and ride hail services.
1. The property has no windows that could be opened for fresh air. That was a bummer!
2. There was a food pack with leftover chicken, presumably, from the previous occupant in the fridge & the room had a weird scent upon arrival.
