While the staff were exceptionally attentive and kind, the hotel room itself was disappointing. I checked in on March 26th and encountered several issues. The promised view was obstructed as the blinds were broken and required manual manipulation to stay open. The shower drain was clogged, causing water to pool. Additionally, the bathroom and bedside lights flickered, and the toilet ran constantly, making it difficult to sleep.

The hotel location cannot be beat - walking distance to most major attractions, such as the Smithsonian museums, Washington Monument, White House and Lincoln Memorial to name a few.
We flew into the Dulles airport which is a half-hour taxi to the hotel. We opted for the Metro which was an hour and quite a pain if you have luggage. Not the hotel's fault. Ronald Regan airport is five miles from the hotel and may be better if the schedules are similar.

Overall we had a very nice stay. The location is very convenient to Dupont Circle and the Metro, the room was clean and well designed, and we enjoyed the coffee provided. Staff were all friendly and professional.
I would not rate them high on sustainability. One thing specifically: I was amazed that nowhere in the hotel was there a fountain or a place where guests could fill their own water bottles. While there was a lovely small dispenser with fruit and ice infused water in the lobby it was only adequate for use with tiny paper cups. Otherwise, in the rooms they're a lovely single-use blue aluminum water bottle provided, and staff would happily hand out more upon request. But what if I just want to refill my own water bottle or that first blue aluminum water bottle I received? We were out of luck and ended up going through 10 bottles in 2 days - unnecessarily. I found that quite surprising if not inexcusable, in this day and age. It a me wonder if the people who own the hotel are either heavily invested in aluminum, the water bottle company, or both.

The location was great & the breakfast is absolutely perfect with extremely nice staff handling the restaurant perfectly even during peak hours. Gym is 24/7 which is great.
The beds are moving / not fully fixed in place. Windows were not able to be opened which was really unfortunate. No real space to keep your bathroom items, especially with two people. Only one sink in the twin room. Very expensive considering the concerns above.

Great location, our concierge Thomas is fantastic and knowledgeable. I appreciated that the reception team realized that we were a family traveling with different bookings and had the foresight to give us rooms on the same floor. My sister had an issue with her room and someone from the evening team came to her room to solve the issue. The team facilitated our request to extend our stay at check in. The on site restaurant was fantastic.
My sister’s toilet in her room was inoperable before check out. Perhaps due to staffing shortages it wasn’t addressed before our departure. I put my eye medication in the en-suite mini fridge and was surprised that the fridge had a self timed lock that I wasn’t initially informed of. After multiple calls to the front desk the fridge was finally unlocked.

The location is fantastic, and the price can’t be beat! The Pembroke offers amazing food and outstanding service, especially from Aroldo and Miguel. The front desk staff is always friendly, and the entire hotel smells wonderful. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms are incredibly spacious.
This doesn’t reflect on the property itself, and I’m confident it will be resolved. We paid for the room through Booking.com, but were also charged again at checkout. I called yesterday (7/2/25) and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I’m sure the double charge will be credited back soon. I just hadn’t realized we’d been charged twice before we left.

Early check in as well as late check out was granted (low season) weekend but still, this is a massive perk! The area is simply the best of DC with the coffee shops and Farmers market on Sundays… the hotel bar is also a must try!

The location right on Dupont Circle is paramount. The restaurant is quite good, and the doorman and bell staff are very helpful. Beds were comfortable, but the blankets are quite weighty and too warm and heavy for the season. The pod coffee machine worked well and the espresso cups are a nice touch. I also appreciate having real glasses
Our check-in was rocky, with our room not ready for quite some time after check-in time. They seated us to wait, but never came to tell us when the room was ready. Then they seemed to be having problems with their credit card scanners and called me to come down to the lobby to run my card a second time. The room itself had blinds that were jammed into the window frames and impossible to raise and lower. Hallways seem dark and dim. Refrigerators are the type that can only be used by the hotel for mini-bar items.

Reservation was for 2 days in an ADA room; when we arrived there were none. Our room at the end of the hall very far from the elevators. We extended our stay an extra day because of change in plans; they did have an ada for day 3 but too much trouble to move. Keycard for the room was cancelled every day at noon, even after paying at arrival.

I have been a guest of DuPont Circle Hotel for almost two decades. I loved the classic modernist look of the restaurant before the redecoration but still it’s a great hotel, in a great location, with great restaurant and great service. Marisa at the checkin desk was superb in providing information, helping our delegation with advice with absolutely top notch dedication. Again: it’s not the most luxurious place, but it’s rich in history, best brunches ever and everything about the hotel oozes good, old Washington DC. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at the. Dupont Circle Hotel many times. The one thing that I do not like at all is the new bathroom doors that were put in a few years back. They do not close all the way. And I don't like hearing others use the bathroom.
The bathroom door has about a ½ to 1 inch gap. Please return to bathroom doors that close and provide privacy.
Also there should be an ice machine on the floor.

Great location immediately adjacent to Dupont Circle. If you are primarily staying/going out in NW DC and or Georgetown its a great central point. 10 minutes from Union Station which is also a bonus. Large room was true to size and cleaning was thorough.
Rooms are WAYYYY too close together!! If you are looking for a quiet stay its entirely dependent on your immediate floor neighbors, which is not great. There is also current construction in Dupont Circle that you can hear through your room which also negates having a quiet stay (request a high floor room facing New Hampshire Avenue).

We loved the location and restaurants. The staff was great. It was clean and accommodating.
The bathrooms were not private for a family. There was no door. This was one reason why we might consider elsewhere.

Bar is very good... a bit pricy, but top shelf.
Restaurant for breakfast was very good with large portions and high quality.
Everything was clean and staff very friendly.
Room was ok... kinda small. Bed was nice, but no chairs to lounge in. Bathroom was tiny and a bit dated.
A bit expensive for a Friday night in DC...

Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Staff was nice.
Shower looked very worn and dirty with broken light. Elevators very small and one out of operation during our stay. Rooms are small with no bathroom privacy. We had to ask for a fridge for the room. Valet took a long time.

Very clean & loved the location. So close to everything in D.C.
The Hot water pressure in the room was horrid!! The toilet pressure was weak and so was the shower and the sink! The room is super small just like the mini flat screen in the room. Come on get modernized!
