This hotel is easily one of the best hotels in Vienna. It's excellent value for the money because it's very close to St. Stephen's Cathedral, and within walking distance of most of the major museums, palaces, and architectural marvels in Vienna.
The toilet was in a separate room from the wash basin and shower, but it didn't affect my experience much since I was the only person in my room.

Hotel occupies 3 floors of old building in Vienna's old town on the main pedestrian street -- it was the perfect location for seeing the sights of Vienna. The breakfast buffet was very good with cooked to order eggs if desired. Public parking was less than 10 min walk via mostly pedestrian roads to the hotel.
The toilet room was clean but smelled like an old toilet room -- my wife did not like it. The elevator did not work one night when we came back from dinner meaning we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs. Fortunately it only happened that one time. The breakfast room can be quite crowded -- almost too small if every guest decides to enjoy breakfast at same time.

A great location and a very nice breakfast.
My single room was obscenely small and when I inquired about changing to a double or another single with more square footage the front desk staff balked and reluctantly offered up options at hundreds of Euro's a night extra. Other rooms were available (I checked before asking) and it seemed clear they didn't want to be bothered with my request unless they could more than double the room rate. The front desk staff had a bit of an attitude in my opinion.

The property was located right in the pediatrian square no of NJ old town where the high end shops are. Excellent location and we walked to everything. Upgraded to a suite which was nice bonus. Horrible solo room!! I expected it to be small, but it was so tiny and the layout did not make good use of the space - not enough floor space to even open up my luggage. No curtains on the window, no door to the bathroom, there was mold and peeling paint on the walls and baseboard around the shower, accumulated dust on the light fixture above the bed, and hair follicles in the sink when I arrived. BEWARE - there are steps to get to the elevator and to reception - the rooms and facilities are not at all handicapped friendly or accessible. Entrance from City Centre is thru a dark hallway. Obviously the rooms poorly maintained.

Hotel has a perfect location for those who want to explore the center of the city, all main points of interest are in walkable distanse, and there is a metro station nearby. Hotel has some old-fashion charm. Staff was polite. Breakfast was decent, with selection of cheese, ham, yaourt, baked goods, jams, vegetables. No hot food, but you can order eggs. Staff at breakfast tried to create lovely Christmas atmosphere. Our room had good size, beds and pillows were comfy, nice shampoo and shower gels in the bath.
The hotel feels a bit run-down. When we checked in our room, the TV antenna cable was lying on the floor disconnected, the refrigerator was working poorly, and the bathroom shelf was barely hanging on by one screw. Water in the shower wasn't particularly hot.

The room was small, kind of old-fashioned, and the toilet was really loud.
The paint's a bit dull, and the towel holder in the bathroom's falling apart.
While the style may be vintage, it is still important to ensure proper maintenance.

Location was great, and most of the staff members were nice. The manager, however, was incredibly rude.
No WiFi in the room (WiFi is clearly listed as an amenity in the room). There was not even any WiFi anywhere on our floor. When I politely inquired about it, the manager yelled at me. He blamed the internet company, and refused to help in any way. All 5 days we were in Vienna, there was no internet at the hotel.

The breakfast was amazing and the employees were on top of it. They served us well. Location was perfect and right next to the city center. Complimentary water each day was a treat.
The walls were thin, noise bled through often. The hotel is up a few floors wich was a little complicated with luggage especially since the elevator was very small. I also did not like the rugs. They made the facility nice, but moving suit cases around extremely difficult. The shower was also frustrating as it did not fully close and water would often leak out all over the floor.

Great location in the heart of Vienna. Situated above shops in one of the main 'Up Market' shopping streets - the Graben. For those with plenty of cash Cartier was next to the Hotel, and Louis Vuitton was just across from it.
Walking distance to the Hofburg, the Museum Quarter, Stephensplatz and also the many Christmas markets.
Close to a U Bahn station Herrengasse.
The room was quiet, comfortable and very clean.

The location was perfect, overlooking the huge three blocks long square decorated with Christmas lights, trees for sale, and outdoor restaurants. We were given a two room suite with double French doors which completely blocked out the noise from the crowds window shopping two floors below our room. The breakfast which was included in the price was very good, and the staff very nice.

Comfy bed and pillows, nice use of the small space of the room, easy to move around, keep stuff without feeling crowded. The staff was helpful and answered messages promptly. Good breakfast. Great location right in the main street of stores, cool buildings and metro near by.
A bit hard to find since it is right where the stores are. But not too much trouble.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed in Room 28 and left with severe bed bug bites. The staff admitted they knew about the bugs but failed to take the room out of service. They promised "management" would be in touch, but they never contacted us.
To make matters worse, management "canceled" our reservation after we checked in to make it look like we never stayed thereโlikely to block us from claiming a refund or posting a verified review. I have time-stamped video proof of our stay and photos of the infestation. They are operating in bad faith and put our health at risk.

Super convenient location to get to / from the airport (one express bus away). Ideal if you're on a budget and maybe wanting to explore the Before Sunrise locations like I did :) Most of them were really close by and only require short walks in between. Also have some nice parks and architecture around the area. Very accomodating staffs.

The hotel is in a very convenient locationโSt. Stephen's Cathedral is just a few steps away, and there is a metro station nearby. The hotel is located in an old, authentic, cozy building. The room is a bit worn out. Good, fresh, varied breakfast.
The hotel suffered a data breach, so I received many scam messages before my trip, urging me to transfer money. Unfortunately, this happens quite often these days, but hotel staff should admit that it happened instead of shifting the blame onto others.

Old school pension on the fourth floor. Full of charm, clean and simple, but very nice. One problem, though, to be aware of, is that the hot water runs out in the morning. If you take a shower at 8 AM the water is warm enough but not hot. If you try to take a shower at 9 AM, the water is ice cold. This is a problem because of course you want to take a shower in the morning.
No hot water to take a shower at nine in the morning because it is an old building and the hot water heater is empty by that time.

Breakfast was fine--fresh fruit, pastries, several breads, croissants, espresso coffee, sliced meat, cheeses. Started at 7:00--a GREAT help.
The rooms and corridors are beautifully decorated. The Jugendstil elevator was authentic, but mechanically updated. It was lovely to be living in Old Vienna with none of the old inconveniences.
The single rooms are tiny. They are supplied with everything one needs, but it is a little difficult to establish a routine because everything is on top of something else. The bathroom was not shortchanged to make room for other things, and we were grateful for that.

Poor wi-fi connection (at least in my room). I actually received a better connection with the Cartiar store on the first floor. In addition, the towel rack was not adequately attached to the wall in the bathroom.

The location is absolutely amazing, and the breakfast was a lovely start to each day. I really enjoyed the hotelโs beautiful retro style. It was quite a unique and funny experience having a set of three different keysโone for the building, one for the floor, and one for the roomโit definitely added a touch of vintage character to the stay!
