Light fixture at the bedroom was not working. We stayed for 3 nights and we reported that its too dark by the bed area. Unfortunately, the lighting was never fixed during our 3 nights stay.
The receptionist staffs were not very not friendly, not welcoming, does not understand guest needs and does not provide the best service possible. Receptionist does not seem happy to attend guest to the hotel. Staffs were all looking at their laptops instead of trying to welcome quest.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to stay somewhere nice & that had friendly staff for Christmas, with our 2 small children & my 2 in-laws. Maybe it was because it was Christmas but, the staff weren’t as friendly as the reviews showed, they all seemed stressed and too busy to help. For example we wanted extra pillows as the 2 provided were basically just pillowcases around naught but air, so sleeping was a little uncomfortable. They said they’d try, but no pillows ever came. Asked about restaurant recommendations & things to do and the reception staff seemed offended that we didn’t already have everything planned out. My in-laws room key stopped working and went to reception to get another one and they said the woman at the counter was super rude to them about it. And they’re the sweetest people in the world, and get along with everyone! So I was surprised because they never say that about anyone so it must’ve been a pretty rude experience. Ultimately I think we should’ve chosen more sizable rooms in a similarly luxurious hotel but maybe not in the heart of the city and just taxi’d in. Secondly, I think anyone staying here should know that this is firstly a restaurant with a hotel attached to it. The reception is right next to the restaurant hosting area. Us hotel guests seemed to be second fiddle to the restaurant. Mostly was disappointing because for 2 rooms both at roughly ~$650 per night I expected a little more care, or at least the ability to get another pillow.
Vienna was beautiful, the hotel is in a really cool spot, and I never really write bad reviews but truly this one just didn’t seem worth the money to me. There were like 1 or 2 awesome & sweet staff that were great but the rest were like 1/10

The location, adjacent to the stunning cathedral was the deciding factor in our choice of hotel for New Year in Vienna. It was also a great base to be able to see much of the city, either on foot or to take advantage of the close proximity of the various Metro stations, however…..
The fact that you have to fight your way through the daily queue for the pancake stall which sits in the entrance to the hotel and where people hang out to eat these pancakes is very off putting.
We also felt that the hotel takes advantage of its location and in our experience, standards fell far short of what we would have expected for a 5* hotel, respective the cost, much of it was down to poor housekeeping. We had 2 rooms for our family and in each, beds were not made….the duvets simply thrown across the bed, towels were not replenished, water was not replenished, unsightly marks on upholstery.
In addition, service at breakfast was exceptionally slow. We felt that the hotel prioritised locals who had chosen to stay over after attending one of the hotel’s 2 restaurants….

Onyx restaurant is excellent.
We had to change the room on our last day due to water dripping from the ceiling.
The hotel is not directly reached by car (taxi has to stop 50m away approx) and there is no staff to help with the luggage. Even on our check out around 6 am no one was available to help with the luggage.

The air conditioner worked perfectly, keeping the room at a pleasant temperature. However, the reception staff left much to be desired. We had hoped to have a bath as per photo but when we arrived we had a room at the back which was dark with a shower. We couldn't be bothered to change rooms as we were only there for a couple of nights.

We did not have breakfast but had one evening meal which was acceptable. Some found a fantastic traditional cafe round the corner for breakfast which was called Duglas.

The hotel has a great location if you like to be in the middle of all the action. It has 2 great restaurants with great views. The staff was very nice, especially Katerina in reception desk.
The rooms are a little dated and the lighting especially in the bathroom wasn't great. My room had a courtyard view that basically faced an empty concrete area and facing another building. I also didn't like that our balcony was shared with the room next to us. So I don't recommend a courtyard room.

I had a wonderful stay at DO & CO Hotel. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city with everything within walking distance. The rooms are clean, modern, and beautifully designed, with a great view.
But what really made my stay special was the reception team, especially Nico. He was incredibly helpful, kind, and always greeted us with a smile. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you, Nico, for your hospitality — you truly made a difference!

We chose this hotel for its central location, right in front of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, close to shops and everything else in the city center. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected from a 5-star hotel.
From the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. At the ground floor, there is a pancake store that attracts huge crowds. It’s difficult to even enter the hotel, and the strong smell of food spreads throughout the entire building in the elevator, hallways, and even in the rooms.
The hotel is clearly in need of renovation. The lobby is dark and uninviting, and the reception is oddly located on the 6th floor, directly in front of the restaurant, in a cramped and uncomfortable space.
We wanted to have a drink at the hotel bar ,something you expect every proper 5-star hotel to offer — but instead we were met with an unfriendly and unprofessional host (the blonde one )at the Onyx restaurant. Even though we were hotel guests, she refused to give us a table with a nice view and prioritized tourists from outside the hotel. That was fine ,but we stepped out for a quick smoke, just like many other guests ,but when we came back just a few minutes later, our drinks were gone and strangers were sitting at our table. We hadn’t even paid yet.
The manager offered us a much worse table and only after we refused did he say he could ask the new guests to leave. That should have been the first reaction, especially since our drinks were cleared without notice.
To top it off, we realized after leaving (on the highway) that the undercarriage of our car had been damaged by the valet. He never mentioned it when handing back the car we would’ve preferred honesty, rather than discovering a safety issue while driving.
In conclusion: this was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. Definitely not worthy of five stars.

Air conditioning would not stop even when it was manually stopped from the electrical switch by the staff. There was always a cold breeze in the room. During the day it was not such an issue but at night it got cold. We had a 1 year old with us that we had to constantly check to see if he was too cold.

The location obviously is great. It is the Stephansplatz.
I don’t really understand how this hotel can be assessed as five star hotel. Never been in worse 5 star. I don’t even know what to describe first. Just imagine anything you think the five star hotel should be and be sure that this is not it. Only the central location cannot make the hotel five star.

Beside the excellent room and the most incredible view of St. Stephans in front of my panoramic windows, I want to give a shout out to the staff who took care of the faulty bathroom doors. The sliders would not close all the way and the slats would not close either. I mentioned this to the staff the following morning and the fixed both doors like new before I returned! Excellent attention to getting things fixed! Bravo!
I would have preferred to have walked through a real lobby and see the staff every time I left or entered the hotel.

The location was excellent, right across from St Stephen’s cathedral, Christmas market and shops. Subway station about 50 feet from hotel entrance. Staff, namely concierge and reception were very friendly and helpful.
Turned on the water faucet and there was no water! We were not given any notice of this. And this happened twice! Housekeeping was spotty. One of the 2 cleanings requested did not remove our used cups and coffee pods, and bathroom replenishments Breakfast had very limited menu. A kettle was provided in the room but not any tea bags so bring your own tea.

The staff made it SO easy to drive to the hotel. They took care of everything - parked the car and took luggage up. When we left we had stowed our luggage for the day and when we were ready to leave they loaded all luggage in car and brought it as close to hotel as they could. I was not expecting that - they were excellent!!
The blossoming orange trees on the balcony were absolutely lovely and smelled so good.
The handwritten note on the bar with some chocolates, fresh fruit, and lovely flowers were all a very nice touch!!
Would have been better to have some breakfast choices - not everyone enjoyed all of it while others loved all of it.

Perfect location, comfy room. Breakfast was served as an Austrian breakfast, after my complain the manager has offered us to order anything from the kitchen. Very clean.
