Beautiful traditional hotel. Staff service was excellent - everyone spoke exceptionally good English but were sensitive to us trying to speak German! The spa was a lovely surprise. Food was delicious - we had a yummy Caesar salad in the ground floor bar on late arrival.
The bar menu had a charge of euro 1.50 for tap water. We actually ordered bottled mineral water so I don’t know if we would have been charged but I was a little surprised.

The room was very big with extra high ceilings. We loved the historical furnishing to compliment the long history of the hotel itself. Very much enjoyed the sauna. The breakfast buffet was sensational, plenty of options for all types of eaters.
The room’s air conditioning was way too warm, we couldn’t get the room temperature below 25 degrees Celsius - made it uncomfortable to sleep in.

Staff was very professional, the atmosphere of the hotel was amazing and everything including furniture was built with quality
Upon check-in they requested a deposit of 100 euros per night which I was not informed previously and at that time there was a bank maintenance so I was unable to pay with visa, so I had to pay with cash, next day however they returned my cash and I was able to pay with visa, they then forgot to return the deposit and I had to message the staff. Last, a bag of dirty laundry we had left near our suitcase (also near the bin) was mistakenly thrown away by the cleaning service but we were more than compensated with a free taxi ride to the airport which would've otherwise costed more than what was thrown away.

Everything was impeccable, The hotel and the room were absolutely beautiful the building is gorgeous.
The staff are incredible, so friendly and helpful and speak perfect english which was an amazing help coming from Australia.
The Breakfast was divine the meals were delicious.
The location was fantastic as it was within walking distance to everything and had multiple public transport options on the corner of the block.
I can highly recommend this hotel I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The room was nice but everything in it is very old and needs to be replaced or refurbished. The bed and the chairs have seen better days. For €400 a night, I expected a better room after I upgraded it.

Wonderfully decorated and spacious room. Perfect location for the Opera House and the old town. Breakfast was excellent, high quality, broad range to choose from. Staff were particularly kind and helpful.

It is beautiful to look at.
Really rude main waiter at bar restaurant. Ordered steak and the meat was off/ weird taste. He suggested it was because of customers mouth! But two people have tested the steak it was definitely off. Not at all Like the previous evening. Instead of taking it away, he suggested we have it better cooked! ( it was medium rare) no five star restaurant/ hotel behaves this way. He eventually took it away and took it off our bill.
Also, one of the mattresses in the bed was really old and knotted. And the bathrobes in the room, one of them was old and shabby, while the other looked okay.
Breakfast was nothing special. But the people serving breakfast are all really nice.
I’m sure this place has seen better days because it was not grand.

It was, as it says, a GRand Building which was fit for purpose. Our room was comfortable and of a good size.
As we arrived on a Sunday the only frustrating thing was the very limited dining options available on that day.

nice location. good quality of food and beverage in breakfast and restaurant
they lack in services. we missed cleaning service asked at 19Q30 to fix our room not possible. not a plug for the phone near the bed. no shower. no switches near the bed. temperature difficult to control. coffee took 35 minutes to arrive on breakfast.

The staff went the extra mile to satisfy our needs. Dimitri at the reception managed to get us an excelent room with a walk-in shower, which was a must for us.
Breakfast was good, although a bit expensive.

Great location, very nice hotel. Excellent friendly and helpful staff.
We paid for an upgrade but it was next to the service lift and store room which was very noisy in the night and early morning. We were only there for a few days so it would have been a real inconvenience to move once we had unpacked and sorted the room.

Breakfast is wonderful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathroom is clean.
Gym is too small. 4 people seem very crowded. Water dispenser didn't work but not repaired quickly. Sauna temperature is not high enough to call it sauna.

It’s position in kattnrr ring gave us easy access ti tge places we wanted ti visit
The bedroom was spacious and quiet, the bathroom was of a very high standard, with everything in good order
The bed was very high quality and super comfy, suited us perfectly
The pillows were extremely high quality and just what we needed, we are very fussy about pillows.
I liked tge buffet breakfast, the choice and quality was what I expected.
All tge staff we engaged with, especially the reception staff and the bistro staff and tge lady in tge breakfast room could not have been more helpful and courteous

Didn’t feel that tge bar/ restaurant facilities were on a par with equivalent hotels in tge vicinity
The hotel seemed to have more if a corporate feel, and in fact was catering to large private functions in the lower function rooms
We did not visit tge restaurant in tge 7th floor, or tge Sushi bars though this would have been a big plus if it was food that we liked.
The hotel arranged our personal taxi to the airport, I was charged €75 by the driver at tge airport which was a total rip off. My arrival taxi arranged online by myself from the UK cost €40. I wasn’t too impressed. I’ve only got myself to blame, and realise the driver was independent of tge hotel
