It is in a beautiful location my room was the "James Bond 007 Special" which was a one-off fun and very Lux. The staff are Fabulous. I was there for work on a Monday night so the attached (independent) restaurant & bar was not open. So, you know Go the Workers! But sad I did not staying Tuesday to Sunday to access the onsite bar and restaurant that night.
Breakfast - very yummy but had to order as take away and eat it in my hotel room as there were no tables at 7:15 am in the morning even though I was a hotel guest. Luckily I was booked into the hotel until 10am so took brekkie and ate it in my room. I often stay for work in Perth (as a remote Great Southern worker for designated Office Contact Days) and appreciate the unique and different but, for the money it does not really stack up for the facilities available. (Although it IS GREAT). There was also construction going on in the neighbouring building which started very early (I'm sure this is seasonal) but it woke me up before 6 am.

There was a horrible smell in the room from chemicals used by the cleaners. It almost made the room impossible to sleep in. There was not chance for through ventilation which might have mitigated the problem. Windows on one side of the room were permanently shut. I spoke to the cleaners and asked them not to use any chemicals for the duration of my stay. I don't think they did, buy the stench in the room became more horrible with each day.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. I found it well placed in a quiet area but still close to the city. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. I had breakfast at the attached cafe one morning and it was very nice.
The hours for the laundry room were a little inconvenient, I wanted to do laundry before I left so had to plan my day to make sure I was back at the apartment by mid afternoon to ensure I could get both wash and dry cycles done in time. The black painted walls in the room weren't to my taste, but that is purely my opinion.

Location excellent - King's Park our back door and the CBD our front door. Loved walking daily in both locations as well as riverside. Also liked the accessibility to public transport when we were going further afield. Balcony with the sound of native birds and aroma of native trees. Cafe/restaurant with excellent staff - only went there twice in two weeks but it's a bonus and our local family/friends had visited/were aware of it.
Lighting in the main room; Lack of grab rails in the shower (floor was slippery so we needed to be extra careful); Prolonged fan noise in the bathroom was annoying; Cleaners carts taking up space in the corridors (suggest, because there were also shopping bags hanging from the side of the carts, they be trained to place their carts vertically/or partially vertically in the doorway to the unit they're cleaning rather than taking up all the space which prevents guests from walking through to the lift/exit).

To be fair it was bank holiday weekend while we were there, however we did have to ask for the mid week room clean that didn't happen midweek. However the staff were lovely, apologetic and got straight to it.

I enjoyed my stay at 42 Mount Street. The room is spacious and has all basic cooking utensils. The towels are replaced once in two days. The location is great! Close to my office, Kings Park, Jacobโs Ladder, and CBD. The staff is also really helpful. The perks are the breakfast bar and bookshop at the ground floor. Definitely will stay again!
If the laundry room can be opened past 7:00 pm, that would be great! This is not a concern, but sometimes it feels a bit weird to come in and out from the hotel when you have to pass the lively bar at the front door.

We had the spa room, loved the spa in the bedroom over looking our private courtyard, we will definately be back, although it was only for a night this time, the stay, the room and the staff where exceptional.
Next time i hope to try the restuarant as well, the food smelled delicious.
Option for a later checkout would be nice, otherwise everything else was to be expected, Parking was a bit difficult in a large car, opted to park in the street due to not easily being able to turn out the back, also very limited secure parking.

We appreciated the kitchen in the room as we cooked our own meals and we were also grateful that they kept out luggage for a couple of hours after we checked out as our flight was not until mid-afternoon.
My partner was in Room 301 and, unlike my room, it was plain and bland and almost ugly, an unpleasant room to be in. When in the hotel together and apart from sleeping, we spent most of our time in my room, instead.

The room was very spacious - lots of floor space with a huge room mirror, a comfortable big bed, a dining table, a kitchen area, and a small balcony. Although the room can be a little dimly lit in general, I did not mind it too much and actually enjoyed chilling in the shade from the trees outside the balcony. The bath, body, and shower products smelled great too, and there were ample towels provided.
The hotel is in a pretty convenient location, and within a 10-15 minute walk you could get to the heart of the CBD. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and the staff at reception were lovely and helpful. Entry into the building is easy (remember to take a picture of the door code for after-hours), and the lifts in the building came quickly too.
It wasn't anything too major, but the cleanliness of the bathroom and floors could be improved further. Perhaps I missed it, but it would be nice to have power sockets nearer to the bed. Providing room slippers would have been much appreciated as well.

Location is good
This place has various rooms, and I got the worst option. The room was old, motel type. Needs deep cleaning. Fridge was making creepy noises, AC super loud. Curtains dusty. Carpets are older than me. Balcony had cigarette waste. Water leaks in the shower. Insects flying around. Food waste was left hidden in the closet by a previous customer that wasnโt found and thrown. Zero comfort.

Very nice clean, functional room. Kitchenette had everything we needed to make our own food. The cafe downstairs is very popular and has great food and coffee. It's in a great location, with beautiful purple Jacaranda trees lining the street in November when we were there, and very close to Kings Park.
The room, while very practical, isn't the kind of place that you want to spend all your time, as the decor is very minimalist and the view is fairly boring, especially on lower levels.

Excellent location, easily walking to all the conveniences in the neighborhood with a very nice restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed the full kitchen as well.
